Heartworms are treatable, and with the right care (which our team is happy to talk to you about low cost treatment options in our area), I can go on to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Many wonderful dogs like me test positive for heartworms through no fault of our own and we just need a little extra TLC and some time to heal. The most important thing I need right now is a loving home where I can rest, recover, and feel safe. Please don’t let the word heartworm make you pass me by, I have so much love to give, and I promise I’ll make every bit of the journey worth it. If you’re looking for an amazing dog who’s ready for a fresh start, I’m your new best friend. Available for adoption at Arlington Animal Services Shelter Address: 1000 SE Green Oaks Blvd. Arlington, TX 76018 Shelter Hours: Tuesday- Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. At Arlington Animal Services, every dog is individually evaluated by multiple members of our experienced team. When a dog is placed into our adoption program, it means they have shown friendly behavior toward people and other dogs, and no negative behaviors have been observed in our shelter environment. If you already have a dog at home, we encourage you to bring them to the shelter for an official meet-and-greet to help ensure a smooth and happy introduction.

Story
Hanky Panky is one of those Saint Bernards that we will never forget for the rest of our lives. He has the temperament and look that every Saint should have. He is not a young boy, but he is not an old man. He has a beautiful short hair coat. We think he is approximately 5 years old. Hanky Panky loves attention, will walk right by your side, knows how to sit and is great with all dogs. He will make you smile every day. He weighs 135 pounds, and he is heartworm positive. St Cloud’s rescue has already neutered him, and he is on the slow kill method for the heartworms. This will take between 6 months to a year to complete. He is having some intestinal issues that may be due to his medication for the heartworm treatment. He is house trained. He does have a sensitive stomach and we are working to find the food that works best for him the best. He should weigh about 150 pounds when he is healthy and eating properly. He loves toys but he can’t have toys because he has a tendency to eat them. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit our pups please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at www.stcloudsrescue.org or call 972-679-5319. The first step in adopting from St. Cloud's Rescue is to complete an application. The application may be found OUR WEBSITE at www.stcloudsrescue.org. Please click on the application process, complete and then email it. Once the application has been sent please call us to confirm that we have received it. St.Cloud's Rescue maintains the right to deny applications to anyone for any reason we see fit. St. Cloud Rescue is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization. St. Clouds Rescue requires new owners to purchase a one year supply of heartworm preventative from us, which is at cost. We require a home visit prior to all placements. All our dogs must be microchipped at a cost of $20.00. There is a $350.00 donation fee. All dogs adopted through St Clouds Rescue must be indoors. Saint Bernards can not tolerate the Texas heat.

Story
Peaches is a 1–2-year-old spayed female full Saint Bernard.  They have her birthday listed as September 2024. However, we really don’t have 100% confirmation that that is correct.  Miss Peaches should have been named Mahogany. She has the most gorgeous, thickest plush coat that we have ever seen on any Saint Bernard.  Miss Peaches is sweet, kind, loving, gorgeous and a joy to be around.  She is 100% house trained and loves attention.  She knows basic commands; however, more training is always recommended, both for the dog as well as building a bond with the new owners.  She weighs approximately 100 pounds and has received all of her shots.  However, she is heart worm positive.  We have started her on the slow kill method of getting rid of heart worms.  This will take anywhere from 6 months to a year to complete.  This is a much more humane and safe process.  She has received all her vaccinations.  If you are wanting one of the most gorgeous Saint Bernhards that we have ever had, please consider meeting Miss. Peaches. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. Story
Nana is the mother of Sullivan, the 7-month puppy. Both were found to be strays. Nana weighs approximately 110 pounds and has a beautiful rough coat. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. She does have an extra long tongue which she was either born with or it was due to trauma sometime in her life. It does not affect her ability to eat or drink, she just has a very long tongue. She is approximately 2-3 years old, has a great disposition and is ready and looking forward to finding a wonderful new forever-home. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Story
Bella is a gorgeous senior, full Saint Bernard that was adopted from us many years ago. She has had a wonderful life until now. Due to a family situation, they have surrendered Bella back to us though no fault of Bella’s! She weights approximately 100 pounds and is housetrained. She is a sweet, kind and gentle pup that is easy to care for. She is also current on all vaccinations. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Story
Georgie Boy was dumped in an oil field and found by a kind team member who knew he needed help. Georgie had not had much love and care prior to arriving in his foster home. He is the sweetest boy who tries his best to be enjoying all the comforts of a home that provides safety, all the food he can eat to fill his tummy, and cuddle up with his foster family. Georgie LOVES playing in water and would do best with another dog in the home to keep showing him the ropes! He is also smart as a whip and very trainable.

Story
Meet Champ! This 1.5-year-old pup is basically a 10-year-old boy in dog form—playful, goofy, and always ready for fun! He’s completely obsessed with water, loves to romp, and has a mischievous streak that will keep you laughing. Champ is also a total cuddle bug when playtime is over. He’d do best as an only dog or with other large dogs since he’s still learning to share and can be protective of “treasures” (like things he sneaks from the trash). With a little guidance, this sweet boy will make the perfect adventure buddy and snuggle partner. He’s so ready to find his forever family! 💜 A little on his background: Champ is a young Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. He was found tied to a post in a parking lot, alone and very scared. Once rescued by a TGPR team member, he has relaxed and is doing wonderfully in his foster home. Champ gets along very well with his foster brother, and loves hanging with his foster family everywhere they go in the house. He bonds with people quickly and is a darling boy, very loyal and loving! Champ is healing fantastically from some wounds that he had prior to when TGPR rescued him. Champ is doing great in his foster home and would be a good buddy to a mature and large dog who is patient with a younger pup.

Story
Meet Louie! He is a medium sized Anatole Shephard mix weighing 45lbs.     He came to the rescue group after his family was no longer able to take care of him. He has settled into his foster home, but is still working on refining his basic manners.     Louie is completely house trained, crate trained, stays off furniture and is highly food motivated. Louie loves to play with both his human friends and his dog friends. He is very loyal and has some typical shepherd attributes.  Louie came from a home with 5 other dogs and he currently has a foster sibling. He is looking for a forever home and having another dog would help with his puppy energy.  He would do best with older children; his reaction to cats is unknown.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 12:17 am
