My daughter is a hospice nurse and took Beaux in temporarily so he wouldn’t be left without care. Beaux adjusted with grace during a very emotional transition. Beaux does best in a peaceful environment and would be ideal for someone looking for a loyal senior companion. Beaux is very sweet and affectionate and is currently in Orange County, CA. He has successfully undergone surgery to remove that heavy growth (he was dropped off the shelter with it), and he is feeling lighter than ever. At 11–12 years old and just under 15 pounds, this resilient senior is officially in his "glow-up" era and looking for a forever home to celebrate his new lease on life. While the physical burden is gone, Gimpy’s recovery is a journey. Because he spent so long compensating for that growth, he hasn’t quite realized he can use that leg fully yet. He is looking for a patient home that understands that it will take some time for him to start using that leg, he's gone so long without using it. Aside from his physical therapy journey, Gimpy is the same charming gentleman we fell in love with.
