Story
Oso is an 11 yo senior poodle. He has anxiety and needs lots of attention and care. Hes sweet and friendly and has lived with cats and children. Our changing lifestyle can no longer look after his needs and we want him to go to a home where hes with someone most of the time as his separation anxiety gets pretty bad. He wears washable Diapers when left alone or put in the patio.

Story
Meet Beckham! Beckham entered Riverside Shelter as a stray, and unfortunately, he wasn't claimed. After the shelter reached out for an exit plan for this little guy, we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on November 12th. Beckham is around 12 years old and weighs just under 18 lbs. Doesn't he look like a puppy after being groomed? Beckham went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so he could recover from dental surgery in the comforts of a home, while we learned all about him! His Fling Mom reports: "Beckham has been such a laid back little dude. He toddles about our home. and it really is just the cutest thing. He reminds us of a little panda bear. Here is what we learned - "Beckham was initially not eating well while onsite at FFF, but this guy is a total foodie n the home environment and will supervise you if you’re cooking or eating. He often stands at our feet in the kitchen or stands next to the table while we eat. It’s the most heart melting thing when he peers up at you hoping for a bite. He will try to steal kibble from other dogs’ bowls, so keep an eye on this guy! Beckham is totally unreactive to our pets. He has no issues with dogs or cats. He would be fine in a home with or without other pets. Beckham snoozes A LOT! His favorite pastime is taking naps. And when he is out, he is out! He won’t even lift his head if you pet him. Beckham takes his medication like a pro! He is only on one and has had no issues with it while with us. Beckham loves little treats. So far we know he enjoys salmon skin and apple chicken sausage dog treats. Beckham is a pacer and will make little laps about the home. We just let him do his thing, and he eventually finds a spot to settle in. Beckham is quiet and not a barker. We have only heard a single low bark out of him once. And that was to let us know he needed to go potty. He has been totally quiet otherwise. Beckham is just the mellowest guy with the sweetest eyes. He is hoping that his forever family will find him before the holidays are over. He sure would love to be someone’s companion and he promises to be an extra good boy." Beckham is ready for his forever family! Might that be you? Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to meet Beckham!

Story
Meet Crystal! 12-year-old Crystal was entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program after her dad passed away. She spent her life as a beloved, devoted companion, often curled up in his lap. Since November, Crystal has been living in a loving foster home, where she’s shown what a sweet and gentle soul she truly is. Crystal doesn't ask for much— just someone to love her and let her love them back. She is a sweet, gentle soul who is great with other dogs. Crystal is potty trained and goes to the door when she needs to go out. She doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety when her foster mom leaves the house. Crystal prefers to graze on food, or will enjoy brunch and a late dinner. She is a champ about taking her meds in a little meatball (or other yummy treat.) Crystal has limited vision but seems to see some light. She has learned the layout of her foster home and feels very safe walking around without any guidance. Crystal enjoys sunning herself and toddling around the yard. Crystal loves sleeping in dog beds and getting tucked in with a blanket. She also loves to be held and snuggled, but she's also surprisingly independent. If you have spot in your heart to love and nurture a sweet little soul, baby Crystal is for you! To meet Crystal, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org.

Story
Meet Barigon! Barigon was surrendered by his owner to Downey Shelter. We made this sweet and friendly boy a Frosted Face on April 22nd. He is estimated to be 8 years old and weighs 13 lbs. Barigon is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we’re excited to learn more about his personality in a cozy home environment while he enjoys all the love and care he deserves. His Fling Mom shared what she has learned about Barigon during their first week together: "Last Wednesday, I brought sweet little Barigon to my home for a two week fling.I do not regret it! My first experience with Barry was when I took him to The Buried Bone (groomer) with two other pups. He was very good in the car and immediately found a big cozy pillow in the backseat and made himself at home. Barry has had all his diagnostics and his physical exam, and he seems to be in very good health. He does have plaque buildup on his teeth so he will be getting a dental sometime in the future, but it’s not emergent. He is not on any medications. Barry is a nice little size. He has good mobility and a great appetite. He has made one of the beds in the living room room his own. Barry is very respectful towards my dog, and he wants to kiss my cat, so he has passed his cat test. Barry is non-reactive on the leash and is a good little walker. Barry is not really a cuddler, though he does love to be nearby. He’s quite independent and will sleep on his own. But once in a while, he will jump up on the couch and sit next to me. Barry greets me at the door with enthusiasm, and every morning he is happy to see me wake up and will come in for some kisses. On our very first walk, he was very fearful of the stairs outside my apartment and just walking in general, but my dog has helped him. He loves to follow her lead. I feel that he would do well in a home with another pet that is compatible, so he won’t feel all alone. Barigon is known for "singing" in the pay yard at Frosted Faces, but he doesn’t make a peep in the house - no howling, no barking, no whining! Even when I leave the apartment, he is quiet. Barigon (Barry) is ready for his forever home!" To meet adorable Barigon, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
