You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. &#226&#156&#168 Blitz’s Beautiful Comeback — Chapter Two &#226&#156&#168   Sweet Blitz has come such a long way — and her story just keeps getting better. When she first arrived, she was heartbreakingly thin, shut down, and afraid of the world. It took endless patience, gentle reassurance, and even sitting in the rain just to earn her trust.   Today, Blitz is truly thriving. She’s gained healthy weight, her coat shines, and she’s learning how good life can be. After being spayed last week, she had a couple of off-days where she wasn’t eating and tried to hide in the bushes, but by Sunday it was like a light switched on — she’s been bouncy, bright, and full of life ever since.   She’s doing great with her potty habits (only one little accident after surgery, and we’ll blame that on the anesthesia). Blitz likes her crate and sleeps through the night peacefully. She enjoys being near you without being clingy — she’s an independent gal who chooses her moments for affection, making them all the sweeter when she comes over for an ear rub or back scratches.   She’s also showing interest in toys (rope toys and bouncy balls are her current faves!) and takes cues from her dog friends beautifully. Because of that, we think she’d do best in a home with another confident pup to help her continue to blossom.   Medium in size and enormous in heart, Blitz has shown us what quiet resilience looks like. Coco is a great dog. She's very good with kids and loves people. Her favorite thing to do is to be near her owners. She loves dog treats and peanut butter and lying on the floor by the fireplace. She's a wonderful pet. Unfortunately our new granddaughter is severely allergic to dogs. Even though Coco is hypoallergenic, our granddaughter is allergic to her.

Meet Gandalf the Grey 🧙‍♂️ our newest gentle wizard of the rescue! This handsome standard poodle (1–3 years) is as sweet as they come. He walks great on a leash, seems to know basic commands, and seems to stay perfectly calm I'm new experiences (horses, other dogs, older kids…etc). Just no infants as their crying makes him nervous (more evaluation needed on this aspect). Gandalf is looking for an adopter who enjoys peaceful walks, soft cuddles, and a loyal companion by their side. Our sweet Aspen was found in North Port roaming the streets but was thankfully saved by the Sarasota County Animal Services team. He his hair was so overgrown and matted, that he had to be shaved down entirely! But we're glad we did because he is feeling a lot better now! We think Aspen is about 2 1/2 years old. Unfortunately, when he was shaved down, we discovered a 5" thorn of some sort that was coming out both sides of one of his legs. The groomers also found several shorter thorns embedded in his body as well as scratches and even a small wound. This poor guy was clearly on his own for a while, but we're going to change all of that, and find him an amazing home to love and spoil him for the rest of his life! He can be a little bit nervous at first and doesn't really like a lot of sudden movements (but who can blame him, given his previous history), so we would not recommend that he go to a home with children under 12. He has been with other dogs and is indifferent, so he could be an only dog or go to a home with dogs currently. He will sit, especially when offered a treat. :) He appears to be housetrained as well. Aspen is now up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered, and is heartworm negative. He is fostered in Sarasota and his adoption fee is $400.
