Story
Fonzie and his 2 brothers were surrendered to the rescue by their breeder after not being able to sell them. They are Standard Poodle English Shepherd mixes. These boys are as sweet as can be. They are very cuddly, snuggly pups. All 3 boys are in foster homes learning what house life is like and learning their puppy skills. They enjoy going outside to play and go potty. They require a fenced yard; an invisible fence is not adequate. The boys are up to date on shots, rabies, dewormed, microchipped, and started on heartworm prevention. They willl be neutered on March 8th and can go to forever homes any time. They will just need brought back to their scheduled appointment. Adoption fee is $413 ##1955335##

Story
Meet Sully!Sully came to us as a stray. Upon his arrival his fur was covered in his own urine and feces and was completely matted to his skin. The condition his coat was in was horrific, to say the least, and did not get that way in a short amount of time. After an emergency trip to the groomer, Sully came back looking and acting like a totally different dog. His fur was in such bad shape that our groomer had to shave him down to his skin, which was extremely irritated from the fur being pulled so tightly from the matting. He was in a much better mood when he came and the sweet little sparkle in his eye had returned.Sully is a spunky young man with a lot of energy! He's a higher energy dog that LOVES to run and play. Because he can be an escape artist- we are requiring that he goes to a home with a fenced yard. Sully is still working on mastering potty-training but we feel he's going to catch on a lot faster in an adopted home willing to work with him. So far, Sully has been pretty reactive with other dogs and will likely need multiple slow introductions with any potential canine siblings. As for cats, he can be a bit rude but is essentially harmless. Sully loves humans of all shapes and sizes and would love to go to an active and attentive forever family!**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs 16 lbs.**

Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
