Daisy is a poodle/pug/beagle mix puppy (yes, really, we double checked) with a poodle’s build and energy level. Her coat is wiry and soft, and she has the longest, softest ears.She’s an active, athletic girl who loves to run and play and has zero interest in sitting still, until she’s tired, that is, and then she’s out. She’s toy motivated, fairly smart, and picks up on training well, but she’s also got an independent streak, so she does best with someone willing to put in consistent time with her. That investment will pay off. Underneath all that energy is a genuine snuggle bug who wants nothing more than to crash on your lap once she’s had her exercise for the day.Daisy is confident. With other dogs, she’s playful but pushy, she doesn’t always listen to their cues and just wants to play, and she’ll try that approach even with dogs twice her size. She’d do best paired with a dog that has some patience and can roll with a puppy who hasn’t figured out boundaries yet, but will not let her completely take control. Most cats aren’t a good match for her, unless they are very confident and willing to stand up for themselves or very rowdy and playful with dogs, otherwise she will just jump on them trying to play. She loves people and gets thrilled to meet new ones. She just hasn’t learned yet that jumping isn’t the best way to say hello.She’s great with kids, but she plays like a puppy plays, so she’ll do best in a home with school-age children rather than toddlers who can’t handle her enthusiasm.She’s crate trained and sleeps through the night without a fuss. House training is still a work in progress. She does well on a regular schedule but doesn’t yet reliably ask to go out on her own.Daisy is going to grow into a dog who could really do something with all that drive, whether that’s agility, a job to do, or just being the confident leader of her own little pack. She needs a home ready to channel her energy rather than fight it.She’ll be around 20 pounds full grown. Hugo is a four-year-old Standard Poodle who loves to play. He is not good with other dogs or cats. He isn't mean, but he tries to play with them constantly even when they make it clear they aren't in the mood. He was diagnosed with epilepsy after having one seizure during grooming, but the vet said he does not need to be on medication. Hugo is very bouncy and friendly. He is crate trained and housebroken, but he cannot have anything in his crate (even bedding) because he will chew it up. He doesnt chew when supervised, just when left alone. Hugo knows several commands and has decent recall. He does well with kids, but would do better in a home with older children because he is very energetic and excitable. We were not part of the initial rescue, but we are honored to now be part of Becky's journey and help her discover the life she should have always known.Becky is 5 years old, and sadly, she was never properly socialized. Human touch seems completely foreign to her. The simple things we often take for granted—being gently petted, receiving affection, being handled with kindness, or simply sitting beside a person—are all new experiences for her.We don't know everything Becky endured or what her life looked like before rescue, but we do know that she was not given the opportunity to learn that humans can be safe and loving.Because of this, Becky needs a very patient, calm, and understanding home. She isn't a dog who will immediately run up for cuddles or know how to accept affection. Her new family will need to give her time, respect her boundaries, and celebrate the little victories along the way.And those little victories will mean everything. ❤️Becky came to us with Kevin with the Curls, another mini doodle from the same case. They don't necessarily need to be adopted together, but Becky would do best with another friendly, confident dog who can help her feel secure and teach her that life can be good.Becky is 5 years old, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations.She has spent her life without the love and socialization every dog deserves.
