Story
Kylo Ren is a very sweet and loving dog. However, after over a year of contemplation we’ve decided it would be best for him and our family to rehome him. Kylo suffers with severe separation anxiety and he does not do well with other pets, or small children. He consistently growls at our baby but hasn’t attacked. I can provide more details on that if requested. He whines and will act up if left alone in the house for even two minutes at a time. He’s always been crated when we’re away so that he cannot destroy the house. He’s chewed out of several crates and destroyed several teeth doing so (see pictures). He’s truly well behaved and low maintenance IF he’s the only pet and has constant company. He loves to cuddle, curl up by your feet, get belly rubs, and he’s extremely loyal. He’s the only dog I’ve ever had that I don’t worry if he isn’t leashed because he will never leave your side and if he does he comes right back. We will miss him dearly, but he needs a different living situation.

Story
Meet Teddy! Teddy is a curious, lovable pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves being around his people and is always ready for affection, cuddles, and attention. Once he feels safe and comfortable, his sweet nature really shines through. Like any young dog, Teddy is still learning what is and is not appropriate to chew. In his mind, everything is a potential chew toy, including hands during playtime, so he will need a family committed to providing plenty of appropriate toys and continued training. Teddy can be vocal when meeting strangers and may bark at new people, but with patience and a little time, he settles in and warms up. Once he knows he's safe, he becomes a loyal and affectionate companion. Teddy is neutered and ready for his forever home. He is also working hard on house training and making great progress, but he is not quite fully housebroken yet. Teddy is very curious about cats and enjoys chasing them when given the opportunity. He also believes any cat food or treats left unattended are fair game, so a home with dog-savvy cats or careful management around feline mealtimes would be best. Teddy at a glance: Curious and affectionate Loves people once he feels comfortable Enjoys chewing on just about everything May bark at strangers initially Likes to chase cats Will happily help himself to cat food and treats Neutered Working on house training Looking for a patient family to help him continue learning and growing If you're looking for a sweet, playful pup who will keep you smiling, Teddy might be the perfect match! ##2718130##

Story
(DOB 03/22/2020) This sweet boy is kid, cat (he may a little re-direction now and then), and dog-friendly, so much so that his home MUST include another playful pup to share in the fun. Chase thrives on companionship and would love a family where someone is around more often than not, though he handles alone time just fine when needed. He’s happiest being part of the action—whether that’s tagging along for a car ride (one of his favorite things!), joining you for daily walks, or simply following you from room to room as your loyal little shadow. Chase is the kind of dog who doesn’t just walk into a room; he arrives, bringing a spark of joy that makes everything feel lighter, warmer, and a little more alive. This  super, cute & charming poodle mix has found the perfect balance between playful energy and soulful companionship. Spend just a little time with him, and you’ll quickly wonder how your home ever felt complete without him. Chase is a spirited, high-energy pup who needs an outlet for his enthusiasm. A fenced yard is a must for zoomies, exploring, and burning off that joyful energy, along with a family committed to keeping him active and engaged. He’s not a couch potato yet so his right home is ready for his playful nature. That's definitely part of his charm. (Cats, however, are not on his list of preferred roommates!) When the day winds down, Chase knows how to relax. He’ll happily curl up in his favorite cozy spot and settle in for a peaceful night’s sleep. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and has wonderful house manners. While he’s still working on perfecting his leash skills, he’s a smart boy who will thrive with a little consistency and guidance. One important note: Chase can be a bit of an escape artist and door-dasher, so a mindful home that prioritizes his safety is essential. He’s looking for more than just a home; he’s searching for his people. The perfect ones that will give him all the love he deserves. In return, he’ll give you unwavering companionship, endless joy, and that special kind of everyday magic only a dog like Chase can bring. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, a playful companion, and a dog who will fill your days with love and enery, Chase is ready and waiting to meet you. As part of Chase’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Chase, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2695926##
