Story
Meet Gracie Loo — a 3 year old, 38 lb Poodle mix with a gentle heart and a beautifully calm spirit! Quick Facts: Name: Gracie Loo Breed: Poodle Mix Age: 3 years old Weight: 38 lbs. House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes, needs to be an only dog due to resource guarding. But she can have doggie friends! Good with Cats: Yes Good with Kids: Not tested (but likely fine with school-aged kids) Energy Level: Medium Fence Required: No About Gracie Loo’s Breed: Our best guess is that Gracie Loo is a Poodle Mixed Breed. Poodle mixes are known for being bright, affectionate, and wonderfully adaptable companions. They often inherit the Poodle’s intelligence and eagerness to learn, paired with the temperament of their other breed mix — which can make them playful, gentle, or delightfully goofy. Many Poodle mixes are low shedding, people oriented, and quick to bond with their families, making them great fits for a wide range of homes. Their ideal home is one that offers consistent companionship, mental stimulation, and regular walks. Because they’re smart and sensitive, they thrive with positive reinforcement and a calm, predictable routine. Whether living with a single person, a couple, or a family, Poodle mixes do best in households where they’re included in daily life and given opportunities to learn, explore, and feel connected. What to Love about Gracie Loo: Gracie Loo is a very sweet, intelligent girl who learns quickly and loves to make her humans happy! She enjoys playtime, has great manners, and absolutely loves going on long walks where she can stretch her legs and explore. She’s already potty trained and crate trained, though she doesn’t need a crate when left alone — she’s respectful, relaxed, and trustworthy in the home. Gracie Loo does have some mild resource guarding around food and toys, so she will need to be the only dog in the household , but she’s otherwise incredibly gentle and sweet with everyone she meets! She hasn’t met kids yet, but her calm nature suggests she’d likely do well with school aged children. Gracie Loo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats — she’s friendly, polite, and has excellent play manners. She doesn’t require a fenced yard, but she has a medium energy level and loves her daily walks. She’s fantastic on a leash and is an easygoing companion who fits beautifully into a variety of homes. Gracie Loo is ready to bring her sweetness, smarts, and gentle charm to a forever family who will adore her as much as she’ll adore them. She’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel a little softer and a lot more joyful! Story
You will never be alone again....meet Jack! Jack is a 1.5-year-old, 36 lb (working on a trimmer body) Poodle mix with a playful personality and a big love for his person. He’s a medium-energy pup who enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. Jack is leash-trained, crate-trained, house-trained, and rides well in the car. He gets along with other dogs but would prefer to be the only pet so he can have all your attention. Jack would do best in a home where someone is around often, such as a work-from-home owner or a younger retiree. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. to apply to adopt Jack, go to LPAH.org

Story
(DOB 03/22/2020) Chase is the kind of dog who doesn’t just walk into a room; he arrives, bringing a spark of joy that makes everything feel lighter, warmer, and a little more alive. At 6 years old, this charming poodle mix has found the perfect balance between playful energy and soulful companionship. Spend just a little time with him, and you’ll quickly wonder how your home ever felt complete without him. This sweet boy is both kid and dog-friendly, so much so that his home MUST include another playful pup to share in the fun. Chase thrives on companionship and would love a family where someone is around more often than not, though he handles alone time just fine when needed. He’s happiest being part of the action—whether that’s tagging along for a car ride (one of his favorite things!), joining you for daily walks, or simply following you from room to room as your loyal little shadow. Chase is a spirited, high-energy pup who needs an outlet for his enthusiasm. A fenced yard is a must for zoomies, exploring, and burning off that joyful energy, along with a family committed to keeping him active and engaged. He’s not a couch potato yet so his right home is ready for his playful nature. That's definitely part of his charm. (Cats, however, are not on his list of preferred roommates!) When the day winds down, Chase knows how to relax. He’ll happily curl up in his favorite cozy spot and settle in for a peaceful night’s sleep. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and has wonderful house manners. While he’s still working on perfecting his leash skills, he’s a smart boy who will thrive with a little consistency and guidance. One important note: Chase can be a bit of an escape artist and door-dasher, so a mindful home that prioritizes his safety is essential. He’s looking for more than just a home; he’s searching for his people. The perfect ones that will give him all the love he deserves. In return, he’ll give you unwavering companionship, endless joy, and that special kind of everyday magic only a dog like Chase can bring. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, a playful companion, and a dog who will fill your days with love and enery, Chase is ready and waiting to meet you. As part of Chase’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Chase, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2695926##

Story
Meet Speed! He was brought home from a local breeder as a young puppy and has grown into a sweet, loyal companion. He’s 2 years old with a playful spirit and lots of love to give. He needs a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and build trust at his own pace. He can be anxious around new people and other dogs, so he’ll do best with an owner who understands this and is willing to continue working on his confidence with gentle training and positive reinforcement. He’s affectionate, intelligent, sensitive, and devoted. Once he feels comfortable, his personality really shines—he’s playful, loving, and enjoys being close to his people. With time, patience, and the right environment, he’ll form a deep bond and be an incredibly loyal companion.
