Story
Thank you for your interest in Cocoa. It's not fair that dogs are born and live their lives in a puppy mill. The lack of exposure to life outside the barn, to fun experiences, to wonderful people, makes it hard for them when they are sprung. Life on the outside can be scary even though it's so much better than the barn. Despite her past, Cocoa is making remarkable progress. She's learning to trust and relax, and her loving nature shines through more each day. With the right home, she'll continue to blossom into the wonderful companion she's meant to be.

Story
CALEDONIA, ON. Meet Lancelot, a stunning and intelligent dog with so much potential! Lancelot’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but that just means he’s ready for a fresh start in the right home. Like many bright, energetic dogs, he needs guidance and training to thrive. Lancelot’s first family didn’t have the right tools to help him navigate his youthful enthusiasm, and while they loved him, they chose to limit his experiences instead of giving him the structure he needed. As a result, Lancelot didn’t have the chance to learn how to channel his excitement around new people and dogs, and he was placed on medication without the added benefit of training. Now that he’s with SPIN, he’s finally getting the opportunity to learn, grow, and become the wonderful companion we know he can be. Lancelot is eager to please, playful, and ready to learn with the right family by his side. With the support of a committed, patient adopter who can provide the training and structure he deserves, we know Lancelot will blossom.

Story
Spudley | Male ♂️ | 3 Years Old | Doodle 🐩 | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Unsure | Kids: No Dating Bio: I'm very shy, but each day I learn how to be the dog I was always supposed to be! Adoption Bio: Spudley was found in a rural area covered in filth and matted fur. This poor boy was likely a puppy mill discard after he had done his duties as a stud dog. Spudley spent several months getting healthy and is ready to find that perfect family. Spudley’s past took a toll on him, he is a nervous boy and needs a special home with owners who will have lots of patience with him and take it at his pace. With each day that passes Spudleys confidence grows and personality shines. He is now remaining out of his crate during the day, even during naps! Spudley loves to run outside, chew on his toys, play tug o war with his furry friend, but eating some good old turkey will forever be his favourite pastime. He has learned to trust being around humans although physical touch still has to be taken at his pace after a lifetime of mistreatment. Since being fostered with a confident friendly dog. Spudley has gained a lot of confidence off his furry friend and would benefit greatly from having a furry sibling in his forever home. He is great with all dogs and has yet to be cat tested. Because he is nervous around people, a home with young kids is not ideal as the loud noises and fast movements will terrify him. Older dog savvy kids will be better for him. Spudley is the sweetest boy and although he is fearful, he has never been aggressive. His journey has been incredible to watch and this is only the beginning! Help us find him his happily ever after! Spudley is Neutered and current on vaccinations. He is located in Paris, ON. 📌Apply to Adopt at the link in our bio.

Requirements: Secure fully fenced yard, a companion dog in the home minimum alone time to allow her to bond, no kids under 8 years Meet Kiki, a gorgeous 5-year-old Standard Poodle Mix with a heart full of love to give. Kiki's journey began in a happy home where she thrived for her first three years. Sadly, after her beloved owner passed away, she was rehomed, but unfortunately, her new environment was not kind to her. For the past two years, Kiki endured mistreatment, particularly at the hands of a man, which has left her fearful and hesitant around men. Despite her tough past, Kiki is gentle and loving, with no aggression in her. She may be shy and cower when men enter the room, but she shows great loyalty and affection towards women. Kiki feels safest when her primary caregiver is female, and she would thrive in a home with multiple women. If there is a man in the household, it’s important that he be patient, kind, and willing to give Kiki the space and time she needs. More importantly, he should be committed to working with her by joining in family walks, engaging her, and helping her world expand over time. When Kiki arrived, she weighed just 39 lbs, but thanks to her healthy appetite, she’s now up to 50 lbs. With continued love and care, it won’t be long before she reaches her ideal weight of approximately 60-65 lbs, as recommended by her vet. Kiki is incredibly loyal and well-behaved. She is a dream on a leash, loves her daily walks, and enjoys playing with her smaller canine friends. Having been raised with love and care for her first three years, she has excellent manners and is very obedient. Kiki needs a family who can remind her of the warmth and love she once knew and help her feel safe and cherished again. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal, and well-mannered companion who just needs a little time and patience to trust again, Kiki is worth it. She’s ready to bloom in a home that understands her past and is committed to giving her the bright future she deserves. Questions?
