The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Hi, this is Boomer's story. While I was traveling across Florida in my bus, I found a stray puppy. He was around six months old. I took him in, cleaned him up, got him vaccinated, and treated for fleas. Since then, he's been with me. Part of my family, part of this journey. He's potty trained inside the bus, but I know he would need more structure and consistency in a home. I also have another dog, a service dog who can go everywhere with me. But two dogs make it harder. As much as I love Boomer, I can't afford to keep them both as I try to relocate and get my life in order. Boomer deserves a loving, experienced home where he can be cared for properly. I'm hoping to find that place for him. I belive he is a poddle terrier mix, but I'm not really sure, he doesn't shade, but need a hair cut once every 6 months. He is incredibly handsome dog and he can jump full body very high, he know commands like: sit, down, leave it, drop it and shake.

We are still getting to know Liam while we await his neuter appointment in September. We will update more as we get to know him.

The good news is that he is eager to learn, responds well to positive reinforcement, and is considered easy to train. Charlie would do best in a home without young children, as he is not comfortable around kids. He thrives with patient adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and plenty of opportunities for play and enrichment. Lightning! ❤️ Meet Lightning, an incredibly sweet and affectionate Bernese Mountain Dog/Standard Poodle mix who is ready to find his forever family! At about 35 lbs., Lightning is a social, adventurous boy who is full of personality and enthusiasm for life. He loves his people, enjoys being part of the action, and is happiest when he’s included in whatever his family is doing. Lightning has done very well meeting a variety of dogs at the sanctuary. He loves to play, communicates appropriately with other dogs, responds well to boundaries and corrections, and is easy to redirect. He can be an enthusiastic playmate, so canine friends who appreciate his energy and playful style would be a great fit. And if your family loves the outdoors, Lightning is ready to join the fun! He absolutely LOVES the water and would make a wonderful companion for hikes, outdoor adventures, and days spent exploring. He knows some basic cues, listens well, and is very people-oriented, making him eager to engage with his handlers. Lightning came to us with his brother, Mater, and after spending about a month getting to know them, we’ve seen that both boys are confident, social, and comfortable independently. While they enjoy each other, they aren’t reliant on one another and we believe Lightning will thrive having a family of his very own. We think Lightning could do wonderfully with children 8 and over and would thrive with an active family committed to giving him plenty of exercise, enrichment, affection, and opportunities to be included in everyday life. Due to his high energy and play style, we recommend a household with no cats. Meet Teddy! 🐾 Teddy is a sweet, affectionate 55-lb boy who absolutely loves people. Once he bonds with you, you are his world. ❤️ He loves attention, companionship, walks, and playing with human friends. Teddy needs some help with potty training, but he reliably uses washable pee pads indoors, so carpets and rugs stay safe. He has not lived with cats. He has been to a daycare with other dogs and does well there. He can get excited and bark when he sees dogs on leash, but after a proper introduction, he usually just wants to play. We prefer Teddy to be the single dog in the family. Handsome Teddy does best with regular grooming every 6–8 weeks and he loves all the attention he gets afterward! Due to changes in his family’s schedule, he is spending more time alone than we’d like. We are looking for a loving home where Teddy can have the companionship, attention, and everyday involvement he deserves. He has so much love to give! 🐾❤️
