The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Eve is a great companion dog. She is loyal and loving! I got her when she was 7 months old. She does have prior abuse and neglect issues. I have worked with her and have loved her so much. She would do best in a one dog household as she does have dominance issues - this could be trained out of her but I wouldn’t want to risk her being in a home with another animal when she is trying to get used to her new home. Potty trained and kennel trained. No aggression towards humans, some aggression/reactivity towards other animals including: big dogs, small dogs, cats.

I got her from a breeder when she was 8 weeks old had her since she was a puppy. Unfortunately I work long hours don’t have a lot of time for her I want her to go to a good family that does, since it is only me it’s hard. She’s super friendly, will bark at strangers when walking but always nice when she smells them. Super playful & rlly good with other dogs. She is turning 2 in march 2026
