Story
NAME: Evan    BREED: Mini Golden-doodle  AGE: 6 months  WEIGHT: 15 pounds    LIKES: Evan likes to cuddle, he enjoys being around other dogs. He is unbothered by cats and really enjoys people.     DISLIKES: Evan dislikes being left alone, loud or “big” noises. He may be better suited for a medium or low activity home, with older children and adults.    PERSONALITY TRAITS: friendly, shy, playful and sweet, he loves to sit on the couch and cuddle.    POTTY TRAINING STATUS: This is a work in progress, but he enjoys going outside and does well on a potty pad. It won’t be long before he gets the hang of things and meets this important milestone.     CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Evan is not fond of crate time. He prefers to sleep with his humans or just be with them, rather than being crated.     EXTRAS/MISC.: Evan is the softest, sweetest little pup.    EVAN and his brothers (stay tuned) are considered Wiggly Tails "hero dogs". Because of them, we will be able to help many other animals that aren't nearly as adoptable. Their premium adoption fees will help cover the costs that are incurred by medically-fragile animals within our rescue. It all goes back into our rescue efforts to support our mission of saving as many dogs and cats as we can.   To further inquire about EVAN, send us a message or click on the following link to submit an online application from our website.    https://www.wigglytails.org   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how EVAN will mesh with your lifestyle.    Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.    Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for EVAN, as well as his future family.   *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with information about the next steps and setting up a Meet and Greet. Our process is not a “first come, first served” process. Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants to find the best fit for each adoptable dog and potential family. Filling out an application in no way guarantees you a dog or a response email as we get hundreds of applications and choose the best home for the dog. Distemper/Parvo boosters,  and rabies shot, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery are included with the adoption fee.  You will also receive a PetSmart puppy packet with hundreds of dollars of savings, a FREE bag of food, 30 minute private training session with a certified dog trainer, and a free checkup at Banfield.  Potential adopters must live within 30 miles of Eugene, Oregon. If you live outside the 30 mile radius, still send us an email, as we will can make exceptions if the circumstances are optimal for the dog or puppy. ##2082160##

Story
NAME: Charlie     BREED: Mini Golden-doodle cross AGE: 1 year WEIGHT: 14 pounds   LIKES: Other dogs, chew bones, playing, naps, and food! Gets along well with both small and large dogs, and even likes the cat and goats from his foster home, too. He prefers the company of women and older female kids.    DISLIKES: Charlie is quite nervous of fast movements and loud noises. He is also very cautious meeting new people, particularly boys/men. We highly recommend a home that is primarily female oriented. (With extreme patience and significant time, the right male person might be able to coax him into being friends. However, that has been his biggest challenge to overcome.)   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Though Charlie is nervous when meeting new people, he has grown leaps in bounds in his foster home over the last several weeks and now happily jumps up and down to greet his foster family and enjoys napping on laps. He loves the company of another dog, which seems to help his confidence. He is sweet as pie and loves to kiss and cuddle when he finally feels at home.    POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Only a couple accidents in foster home, potties outside with a consistent routine.    CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Charlie enjoys his crate time for naps when he’s left home alone, and sleeps overnight in it with his half-brother without issues. He is quiet throughout the night in his crate.   To further inquire about CHARLIE, send us a message or click on the below link to submit an application through our website.    Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how CHARLIE will mesh with your lifestyle.    Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.    Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. Story
We have a transport on 6/15/24 to Norcal and OR. We would love to add her to our trip for the right family. Meet Meena ❤️ She is a 2 year old female labradoodle. Yes, she has the hypoallergenic coat which means she does not shed. She is reddish apricot in color. She is not leggy, but more medium height and stout in size. She is estimated around 45 lbs. I'll update her weight as soon as I have it. She is spayed. She will also be current on all vaccines, microchipped, have a dental cleaning done, will be thourely examined, and cleared by our vet prior to adoption. She is house trained, and goes out when she needs to use the restroom throughout the day by sitting by the back door, or by coming and gently nudging you to let you know. She is crate trained; and has no issue using a crate if ever needed. She has impeccable house manners, and currently has free roam of our entire home, and sleeps on a dog bed in our room at night which she absolutely loves. She is leash trained, and walks with us on leash just fine aside from a bit of pulling when we initially start our walks she does quite wonderful. She is very shy meeting new people, and is not one to walk up freely to anyone she doesn't know. She takes her time getting to know new people, but I assure you that her personality blossoms as soon as she is comfortable enough to call you her friend. She is VERY sweet, and attentive to her person/family. LOVES affection, and will follow you around with her head in the palm of your hand if you allow her too. She has a very independent nature at home, and will freely go about her business, whether taking a nap near by, or simply just lounging in the room in her favorite bed. She is not high maintenance in the sense that you have to be at her every beck and call, as she is very communicative when she needs something, and when she doesn't she simply just hangs out as comfortably as she can. She is great with other dogs, but does not need to be in a home with another dog as long as she has her human/family for companionship then her heart and days will be full ❤️ She is NOT high energy, but does love her walks, and to be with her person when you do have the time to dote on her. She is great on road trips, loves her spa days with our groomer, and is an overall very easy going, laid back, go with the flow kinda gal who is looking for a patient, kind, loving, understanding human to call her own and share her days with. She is not a barker, and is rather quiet and serene tempered. She however will alert you of unfamiliar noises. She listens well, and is very attentive to your expectations of her, so a quick "no barking," and she is focused right back to you without hesitation. She didn't get much socialization in her prior home, as they felt "dogs belonged outside," and that their "occasional family gatherings and bbqs in the yard," was all the attention she needed. They claimed she "preferred outdoor living," which couldn't have been more false on their end sadly. Time does change everything and Meena has shown us just how much of a true house dog she is, and it's been an absolute pleasure working with her but it's finally time to find a home all her own where she will continue to be the princess she is ❤️ If that's you, then I promise you that Meena is one dog worth taking a leap of faith on so that you can also experience the same love we have once she opens her heart to yours 💕 Her adoption fee is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org under her listing. It will cover her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, her dental cleaning/possible extractions/anesthesia, her antibiotic shot that will be given to aid in her dental cleaning, her exam with our vet, along with the time, care, and training she has had since with us.

Story
Nancy's story will break your heart. She was rescued from a horrific hoarding case and suffered severe neglect. She is a sweet and loving special needs dog, just a year old and 30 pounds with a curved spine. Nancy is ready for her forever home and after all she's been through she is still silly, playful, and happy. Read more about Nancy's story here: https://cuddly.com/donate/4927680/nancy Nancy is a special needs dog that is going to need a very special adopter. She is such a happy go lucky girl that is full of love. She has dubbed the nickname 'flirt' due to the fact that everywhere she goes, she has to say hi to every single person in the area before she will leave. She just loves everyone that she meets! She is a huge toy girl and always wants to have a bundle of toys wherever she goes. If you are looking for a dog that is going to bring you pure joy and happiness this is your girl. Despite her disability, she is so willing to do so many things! The drs have suggested that she never over do it so she wont be a dog that can walk miles and miles a day, but she would still love to go to the park or for a fun car ride! We can go on and on saying all kinds of great things about Nancy because she is just such an amazing dog! She is even great with other dogs! We have seen her around a cat at the vet before and she didnt mind them. Nancy is housebroken and is crate trained for a massive crate if she does need to go in one although due to her deformity we never have her crated. She needs to eat and drink from a raised bowl. She currently gets around just fine and is in no pain, but that may not be the case as she gets older. She may have lots of medical problems as she grows older and her bones being the way they are might greatly affect her as she ages. She is currently going to a specialist every week for Chiropractor to try to straighten her out a little more. Her neck, spine, and one leg are all completely deformed. Her spine itself is bent along with her neck. If interested in adopting kindly fill out the application found here: www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptionsJuly 26, 2024, 11:38 am
