Story
Milo is the whole package-tall, dark, handsome, toy-obsessed, fetch-loving, dog-friendly, kid-approved, and somehow still convinced that your lap is a perfectly reasonable place for a dog of his size to be. If you're looking for an easygoing best friend who can keep up with adventures and then happily settle in for couch time, Milo is just your guy! Estimated to be around 2 years old, weighing approximately 60 pounds, and looking very much like a Doodle mix, Milo is a rescue, so breed and age are simply our best guess. What we know for certain is that he is a handsome, confident boy with a playful spirit and a happy heart full of love. Go watch Milo on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this handsome gentleman. https://youtu.be/3XExAdOuxFA Milo is currently thriving in a foster home where he has proven himself to be a wonderful house dog. He is house trained, crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, and has settled comfortably into family life. His foster describes him as an easy dog to live with, the kind of companion who is happy to join in on whatever the day has in store. One of Milo's greatest loves in life is toys. If there is a toy nearby, chances are Milo has already spotted it. He enjoys fetch, loves interactive play, and can happily entertain himself with a favorite toy before curling up nearby for some relaxation. He has a playful side without being nonstop busy, making him a wonderful fit for an active family that also enjoys downtime. Milo lives successfully with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to run and play with. He has lived with both large and small dogs and shows excellent social skills overall. He appreciates thoughtful introductions and tends to do best with dogs who are confident and respectful rather than overly pushy. While he enjoys canine companionship, he is equally happy spending time with his people. Speaking of people, Milo is a social butterfly. He loves meeting new friends, enjoys attention from everyone he meets, and did wonderfully during his child assessment. He was calm, respectful, and comfortable around kids, making him an easy dog to imagine as part of a family. Milo has also met cats and showed polite curiosity, spending much of his time sniffing and even licking the cat during introductions. Because shelter and assessment environments don't always tell the full story, we think a dog-savvy cat or a calm, confident feline companion would be the best match while everyone settles in and learns each other's routines. Despite his impressive size, Milo has the mindset that lap-dog life is a state of mind and NOT a body type. We would call him a lap-dog of opportunity, because basically - he is more of an opportunist than a professional lap sitter. If a cozy spot beside you opens up, he may simply decide it belongs to him and then slowly inch his way over to your lap. Fortunately, his sweet nature makes it very hard to argue with his logic. Milo is looking for a family that wants a fun-loving companion, a fetch partner, a road trip buddy, and an all-around good boy wrapped into one very handsome package. If that sounds like your kind of dog, Milo is ready to load up his toys and head home. Apply today to welcome Milo to the family! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69fa6c109467b08f11069b72 Questions? Capitan (gray and white) is more energetic and plays with other dogs. Blanco is more reserved. Both like to snuggle in bed together a good part of the day. Story
If you have been dreaming of a puppy who is equal parts adorable, affectionate, playful, and absolutely irresistible, then Bitsy is ready to steal your heart. At around 2 months old, this precious little girl is just beginning her journey through life, and every day is a new adventure. Bitsy is tiny, curly, and impossibly cute, with the kind of face that makes people smile the moment they see her. She has a sweet, happy personality and approaches the world with curiosity, excitement, and a wagging tail. Bitsy loves to play and can often be found bouncing around with puppy enthusiasm, investigating new toys, making friends, and discovering all the wonderful things life has to offer. Everything is exciting when you’re a puppy, and Bitsy is fully embracing every moment. Whether she’s chasing a toy across the room, romping around with her siblings, or showing off her adorable little puppy hops, she brings joy wherever she goes. As much as she enjoys playtime, Bitsy is also a champion cuddler. After a fun-filled day of exploring, she’s more than happy to curl up beside her favorite people for some snuggles and affection. She absolutely loves being petted and will soak up every bit of attention you are willing to give. Her gentle, loving nature makes it easy to fall completely in love with her. Bitsy is thriving as she learns about the world around her. She is discovering new sights, sounds, and experiences every day, and watching her grow is truly special. She’s the kind of puppy who will keep you smiling with her silly antics, warm your heart with her sweetness, and become a beloved member of the family before you even realize it. If you’re looking for a tiny best friend who will fill your days with laughter, love, cuddles, and endless puppy charm, Bitsy may be the perfect addition to your home. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69fe1cc6d1b2abb4ea05141e Questions? Story
Hey. It’s me. Cooper. Yes, that Cooper. The one who looks like he should come with a warning label that says “may contain zoomies, enthusiasm, and accidental furniture destruction.” I’m a 1.5 year old doodle mix tipping the scales at a solid 122 lbs of pure energy, wiggles, and “I swear I didn’t mean to do that” moments. I am basically a large, fluffy espresso shot with legs. I am a very sweet boy with my people. I love affection, I love attention, and I love being part of everything you are doing. If you sit down, I will be there. If you stand up, I will also be there. Personal space is more of a suggestion in my world. Now about my lifestyle. I am active. Like, really active. I do not believe in idle time. I believe in movement, training, play, and more movement. I am looking for someone experienced who understands my energy and my breed mix and is ready to continue my training so I can be the best version of myself. Structure is very important for me, even if I occasionally act like I forgot that. When it comes to other dogs, I enjoy having friends, but I need dogs who can keep up with me. I am not the best match for older or very calm dogs who just want peace and quiet. Cats are unknown territory for me, so for now, a no-cat home is recommended. Because of my size, energy, and enthusiasm for life, I would do best in an adult-only home with no kids. I need people who are confident, consistent, and ready for a big dog with big feelings and even bigger zoomies. At the end of the day, I am not trying to be wild, I am just a giant doodle who loves life a little too much and needs the right person to help me channel it. With the right home, I will be loyal, loving, hilarious, and your very fluffy full-time workout program! My adoption fee is $295 and I'm neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet me today!
