Story
Hi there, I'm Heidi, a 7 month old 34 pound Poodle. We were told that Heidi is a purebred Poodle, but we have not done a DNA test so we cannot guarantee it. Heidi is fostered in Cascadia, OR. We are about one hour from Corvallis, Eugene, Sisters, 2 from Portland, Newport. If you come from afar, we may be able to meet you part way, depending on how much rescue driving we are doing at that time. We appreciate folks willing to drive to meet and adopt a new family member. Heidi is an awesome puppy. She is happy, sweet, easygoing, calm most of the time, does not bark much here, She enjoys playing gently with our 14 pound puppy, running in the yard and on our daily off leash woods walks. She loves small dog toys, and she sleeps well through the night on a dog bed, or on a human bed. She is house trained on a good schedule or with outdoor access. Most puppies and many adult dogs will have accidents in transition to a new home, so please plan for that. Heidi is spayed, micro-chipped, de-wormed, vaccinated and on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She has had one DLPP vaccination and needs a series of two. If she is adopted before it is time for her second vaccination, it will be up to adopters to get that. Heidi's adoption fee is $600. Heidi was over-crated in her last home, so we want her to go to a home that is crate free or will not crate her if she is fearful and resists it. At her current weight, Heidi is on target to become a 40-50 pound dog. It is also possible that she will not grow much more, as she does not appear puppy gangly and she has not gained weight here, despite eating plenty. We seek a gentle loving home for Heidi with plenty of fun, love and adventure. We seek folks who are young enough to see her through her entire life in their care. We do not know how Heidi does with children, but we suspect that she will be fine with an older child with great dog manners. She still jumps up on us at times, so a child must be old enough to not be scared by her size or puppylike behavior. ol A great home and must haves for Heidi include: 1. An owned or stable renter home with a securely fenced yard. Apartments and yardless homes will not be considered for this dog. 2. Folks who are home most of the time. Heidi is fine home alone but she has had a rough start and we want her to have lots of time with her people. 3. Folks who walk their dogs daily. 4. Adopters who treat their pets as family members, who believe in good nutrition and great care for their pets. 5. People who will keep Heidi well socialized with other dogs. She loves to play with our other puppy, and she has run around with large dogs belonging to a neighbor. We want her to maintain her comfort with and enjoyment of other dogs. 6. Another nice dog is a plus. If you meet ALL above criteria, we welcome you to apply. Story
Meet Freddie our sweet one year old poodle mix. He weighs 15 pounds full grown. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. The vet sent him home with a clean bill of health and is now ready to find a home all his own. He is house trained and goes outside to do his business every couple hours when needed. Inside the home, he's pretty independent and keeps to himself unless you're calling him over for some love and attention. He's not the type to demand affection, but he absolutely soaks it up when it's offered. He is still getting the hang of walking on a leash and building confidence as his previous life as a breeder dog didn't include many outings, so everything is still a little unfamiliar to him but he's making steady progress. He enjoys spending quiet time out in the yard and will happily hang out on his own, especially if he's not quite ready to come inside. He's a bit of a hide and seek pro when he wants to be. Every day he gets a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident. He currently sleeps in his crate peacefully at night but I'm sure he would love his own bed next to yours if you prefer. He sleeps soundly through the night and settles in easily when you need to step out. What he needs now is someone with patients and a gentle heart, someone who understands that love and trust take time to grow. He'd thrive in a calm, nurturing home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. His adoption fee is $1500 which covers all vet costs, care and training since the time he's been with us. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. Located in Hesperia CA. We offer transportation to you so long as it's covered by the adopter. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!
