Story
Meet Ludo !! This adorable puppy is super sweet and very fun. He’s ready for a fun active family to love. He is a 8 month old, male and weighs 35 pounds. He’s said to be a poodle lab mix but we aren’t sure. He looks a lot like a schnauzer mix. Ludo will be neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped as part of his adoption. He is heartworm negative. This guy is a real cutie. He came to us with almost no training but has learned so quickly. He was definitely not getting his energy needs met which made it difficult for him to learn. Hes now doing very well with his house manners. He’s a smart boy that just needed someone to show him what to do and properly exercise him. Ludo has done great with his potty training. He does good on car rides. He does well on a leash. He is crate trained but can be very vocal especially if he can see you. He does best when put in the crate mentally and physically tired. He has done fantastic with all the other dogs he’s met so far. We do not know how he would do with cats. He loves everyone he’s met so far. His previous family said he was great with kids. We don’t have him fostered with any but do know he does a lot of excited jumping on people at times. Ludo is a HIGH ENERGY DOG! He is going to need lots of exercise and both physical and mental stimulation to be a happy and well-behaved boy. When high energy dogs do not have their needs met they become destructive and difficult to deal with so please do not adopt him unless you were serious about keeping him busy and entertained. He loves to play and he loves puzzle games, balls, chase, running with other dogs etc. Anything that keeps his mind and/or body busy. He really seems to love learning new things and has so much potential with someone willing to give him the proper levels of exercise each and every day. He has not had any aggression with food, treats, or toys with people or other animals. He does try to hump other dogs but hopefully his upcoming neuter will help resolve that. He can be very vocal when left outside alone. Overall this guy is an amazing and very loving puppy. If you’re an active person or family looking for a new best friend then he may be the one! Vet and home checks required. Fenced yard required - He’s too vocal and energetic for an apartment. Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com directly with questions or to get an application. Story
Despite how we know he felt in that condition, he still had a happy smile and a wagging tail for everyone he met.  When no identity was found and noone came forward looking for him, Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped up to help get him shaved down (boy did he feel great) and then off he went to the vet to get neutered, totally vetted and checked out from head to toe. This boy loves TOYS!   Get out a tennis ball and throw it all day long and you will have him chasing and bringing back all day long.  Give him a stuffed animal toy?  Oh my goodness how happy he will be.  Smiling, loving to play with little children that are near him and meeting new friends, both human and dogs.   This boy will be someone's fun sidekick in life.  He needs to gain some weight and become the 55 pound stunning Poodle that he once was. as his hair returns and his weight become more normal.  He is crate trained and really considers the crate as his special bedroom.  Housebroken and pretty good on the leash.  He is vibrant and so very present in life and involved in all the things in his life and what is going on around him.  This is a great Poodle and he will be a prize that will be a never to forget companion in your life. Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 16, 2025, 12:11 pm

Story
First and foremost… I LOVE this dog. I recently had to take him in after a death in the family and he has been such a delight to be around. He is an easy going dog who loves to hang out on the couch or be outside running around and is amazing in the car, at the vet, at the groomers… all of it. But unfortunately he is not good with children… he has never bitten but he growls and is generally uneasy if they are so much as in the room. So if you are reading this and think Roman might make a great addition to your home please contact me. He is UTD on all his shots. He would make a great pet to a couple or person WITHOUT children. Don’t miss out on this good boy, he will bring your home so much love and I will be very sorry to see him go.

For inquiries email christina@compactcaninerescue.org Fee: $400 Location: Chesapeake, VA   UPDATE: Bally finally got in to see the vet and had check up. He was surrendered to the animal shelter in Norfolk, VA. He has some typical senior issues: skin issues, dental disease, vision impairment/cloudy eyes (nuclear sclerosis), and may be hard of hearing. Story
Meet Toby 2 to 3y old! 🖤✨ The Fun-Sized Blue Poodle/Goldendoodle with a BIG Personality sporting his summer style for water friendly play time 🥰 Fostered in Virginia Beach, VA At just 30 lbs, Toby might be small, but don’t let his size fool you—this little fluff is bursting with love, energy, and just the right amount of mischief! 🐾💨 Toby is finally getting to enjoy the good life, and wow, is he making up for lost time! He’s learning that food is always available (so no need to growl at mealtime anymore!), and he’s absolutely mastered the art of treat-taking—seriously, the gentlest treat-taker we’ve seen in ages! 🍖✨ Quick Facts: 🐕 Dog-Friendly? Yes! He’s a social, confident boy who jumps right into play—but he’s a rough-and-tumble kind of guy, so he’d do best with a playful, younger female dog. He would not be a good fit for a senior or low-energy dog. (Recently neutered and likely an ex-breeder dog.) 🏡 Crate Trained? 100%! 🚽 House Training? Almost there—just needs a bit more consistency. 💨 Energy Level? High! He’s an active little guy who loves to run, play, and then crash on the couch for cuddles. ❤️ Affectionate? Extremely! He’s a total lovebug who adores his people. He really loves a good snuggle. ✨ Shedding? He does not appear to shed! The Best Home for Toby Will Have: ✅ A secure potty plan—a private enclosed patio is ideal, or a fully fenced yard for safe zoomies and sunbathing. ✅ No fence? That’s okay—as long as a chew-proof lead line with swivels on both ends is installed before adoption. • The lead must reach from the back door and be no less than 20 feet long, following state law for supervised yard and sun time. • Underground or invisible fencing is not acceptable—Toby would not do well with that system. ✅ Children in the home must be age 12 or older—he’s sweet, but his zoomies and playful energy are too much for younger kids. ✅ Ideally, an able-bodied adopter who can keep up with his strength and energy—someone who enjoys regular walks and has the time and ability to help Toby stay active and fulfilled. ✅ He would do great as an only dog or with a young, playful companion dog who can keep up with his bouncy, exuberant playstyle. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, and oh-so-fluffy sidekick, Toby might just be your guy! Apply now before this fun-sized ball of love finds his perfect match! 📌 Apply here: www.coastalsheltierescue.org
