Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Roo is a very sweet, affectionate girl. She’s not electric or rambunctious or anything like that. She’s actually kind of shy, but she does like to play. Especially with squeaky toys. She is low-moderate energy level. She does well with other dogs, even the little ankle biter types. She is submissive with others and enjoys playing with them. Roo is 8 months old and still has a lot of puppyness in her. She weighs 48 lbs but still has some growing/filling out to do. This precious baby is a mix. Maybe some lab and something wire-haired like a giant schnauzer. Maybe some Poodle thrown in? I have not seen her around cats but I can't imagine that she would be anything other than sweet and gentle. That is her whole personality. Now, try to grasp this…Roo was a stray. Someone threw her away. Roo isn’t trash. She’s a princess. Roo started the Paws in Prison program last week. While there, she will learn basic obedience and hopefully gain some confidence. She will be there for 8 weeks, and we hope to have a home ready for her once she graduates. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in AR. She is available to adopters here in Arkansas, but also available to New England adopters with transport available. Adopter must be able to pick up (or arrange for someone to pick up for them) in PA, NJ, or CT on Saturdays. For more info or questions, email apps.aasr@gmail.com. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
