Story
Yeonew is currently being fostered in Fremont,CA! He flew from South Korea to the Bay Area in early 2023 for his forever home. Due to unexpected and significant personal changes in her current family, we fully support the decision to help her look for a new home. 🐕 Personality: 1. Yeonew will be best if he is the only dog in the house but he will be ok with dogs of his size (about 20 lbs) or smaller. I’ve noticed he is interested in meeting small dogs. He is scared and afraid of large dogs in general. There are exceptions, though. Our neighbor has 80 lb husky. In the beginning Yeonew was very scared of him but overtime he got used to him and they get along. If the large dogs is gentle and Yeonew had enough time to know that he is safe around the big dogs, then he will be fine. 2. He is 100% outdoor potty. In the morning, he goes out to backyard and pee for a long time. Then he pees and poos during the daily walk. If i can’t take him out for a walk, then he poos in the backyard. 3. Yeonew is a nice dog. He is very patient and understanding. He does not demand or destroy things. He loves, loves walking and running, especially loves a long walk. If park is empty, I let him run free. He runs 100miles per hour speed, gets super excited. When he does that, he comes home and falls asleep and snores. He loves getting brushed, massage, head and back scratched. He likes to play tug. There is one thing he hates which is nail trimming. It took me a very long time to touch his paws. Now he lets me touch them but still does not like it. 4. He is quite a picky eater. He likes - any kind of meat (beef, pork, chicken), fish, cheese, butter, egg yolk, lactose free milk, chicken jerky for dogs, dog chews He does not like - fruits, vegetables, egg white, most dog treats He is mostly quiet but he will bark if neighbor’s gardener creates loud noises with lawn mower or if he senses strangers walking outside of our house. 5. For Yeonew if I could imagine his perfect family, it would be a home with calm, mature adults or young adults who are gentle, loves to walk with him daily or twice a day, don’t mind Yeonew’s hair all over the house (especially shedding season), can make home made food for Yeonew, have time to play with Yeonew. He will be very happy. 6. Medication - he hates taking medications. I crush Simparica Trio to fine powder, mix it with water, put it in a syringe and slowly squirt it into his mouth (between his teeth)then give him a treat afterwards 7. About trip/car ride - he still trembles and shakes when we take him outside in our car (probably worried where we are taking him) but once we go to park, he is fine and happy. on the way back home, he is totally relaxed, no longer anxious or worried. He can do long distance trip in the car as well as long as he can get off the car periodically, walk, pee and drink water.

Meet Rocky! He is a gentle, loving and playful boy. He learns what you want him to do and a lot of times he will do it automatically from then on out. He is really easy to both hang out and do things with, he looks to you to see what is on the agenda and is a wonderful partner. He kennels up himself for meals, takes himself out through dog doors to go potty, has had his first and second set of shots and has been neutered.
