Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Charles! Charles is a 2-year-old, 43 lb Schnauzer/Poodle/Lab mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This handsome, scruffy guy is full of personality and ready to find a home that can keep up with him! Charles is sweet, goofy, spunky, and always up for an adventure. He loves going on walks with his people, exploring new places, and bouncing through life with his happy, energetic spirit. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for hikes, outings, and weekend excursions. That said, Charles is still very much a big puppy at heart. He can be mouthy and has that playful, sometimes over-the-top puppy energy, so he will need continued work on manners. Because of this, he would do best in a home without young children ~ older, dog-savvy kids would be a better fit. He does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends, and would do best in a home without cats. Charles would thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, and continued training to help him become his very best self. With guidance and an active lifestyle, this spazzy, lovable goofball is going to make an incredibly fun and loyal companion! If you’re looking for an energetic adventure buddy with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Charles might just be your guy! Charles is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Huxley came to us with his girlfriend Haven a couple of weeks after we took in their 2 baby girls.  Their owner left the country and a family member took them in.  Soon after they realized Haven was pregnant so they kept them until the puppies were ready for homes.  They couldn't keep them permanently because they already had dogs of their own.  So now it's Huxley's turn to find a permanent family that will make his next home his last home.   He's a nice boy and great size at 34 pounds.  Not too small and not too big.  He is house trained and been a nice guest in his foster home.  He was never crate trained and doesn't appreciate being in a crate, not for long anyways (he messed up a crate door to escape when he first arrived).  Update:  he is now crate trained and doing well there when he needs to be in it.   Over the time we've had him, we've tried to place him with different other dogs.  It doesn't seem that he's aggressive, but he is inappropriate with his interactions.  He pounces on this and mouths them and it's scary for the dog.  So we'd like him to be your one and only.  But he's easy to take walks in pubic too so it's not like he has to be isolated from dogs.  We've had him at several adoption events. We are requiring a securely fenced yard for this guy so he can safely explore his yard while out on potty breaks or hanging out with you outside.     Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 6, 2026, 2:36 pm

Story
Sweet momma, Utopia and her five day old pups were one day away from being euthanized in a small south Texas animal control. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days before she realized they were safe. NOW she is THE sweetest and most loving girl!! She is doing good with potty training and is good with dogs and cats. She likes going for drives and walks good on a leash. She's got the cutest little tuft of fur on her head. She's smart and likes to play. Her puppies are cattle dog mix. They are playful and happy. They prefer playing with each other but like their stuffed animals. They are working on pee pad training. They are currently around five pounds, and almost ready for their families!! Mama is likely a long haired/wire haired dachshund/terrier mix and the pups have the low rider qualities with heeler markings- ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! Any one of these pups or mama Utopia will make an awesome addition to your family... you have to take that first step... FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION!! Hurry, this family is ready!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
