Story
Animal Information: Mango is a 3-year-old, 9lb Schnauzer mix that was brought into the shelter as a stray with Quince, the Chihuahua. She was understandably afraid, all of the barking and activity left her shaking in the back of her kennel. When the shelter staff brought her into the quiet office, she was quick to warm up and ask to sit in a lap. We saw her sweet, scruffy face and knew we had to help!  Foster Profile:  This ~3-year-old,  Schnauzer/Poodle/Chihuahua(?) mix is  funny lil cuddle beast who has come a long way since arriving from California. She's about 10 lbs and a bit of a long-bodied terrier mix with the cutest little white beard and outsized toe beans you have to see to believe.   MISS Mango (as we like to call her) is affectionate, sensitive, and dog-social. She loves to snuggle and nap with both her people and resident foster brother (DGS alum) on the bed or couch. However, she also prefers to take things at her own pace as she builds trust before being picked up or held, but she's getting better at that. She follows both her humans around and requires regular chin and ear scritches, please and thank you very much. She loves men and women alike but would do best with older, dog-savvy kids. She's been around a toddler and done well, but she is not being fostered with kids.    Because Mango can experience a little separation anxiety and be vocal in the crate for a few minutes when left alone, we recommend a home without shared walls; a house with a yard would be ideal. This could be worked on and it seems to be getting better, but the quality of her yodelling may best be suited to a single family home.   While she could potentially be an only dog, she absolutely loves other pups! She gains a lot of confidence and comfort from having a secure, mature resident dog to show her the ropes.   Mango is a smart, trainable girl with a great appetite for high-value treats. She is currently working on building her confidence and basic obedience skills, including "touch", "come" and the "place" but it's a work in progress.   She already looks to her human for guidance and connection during walks, so she would be a fantastic candidate for basic obedience/dog manners classes to help her bond with her new family. She is also putting the finishing touches on her house-training, working on clear signaling that she needs to head outside.   One of Mango’s favorite ways to pass the time is through "shredding" activities, which are a great outlet for her natural energy and curiosity. Like many dogs, she finds it very satisfying to rip and tear, but she needs a little guidance on what is appropriate to shred. While she is a master at turning book jackets or important mail into confetti—the classic "dog ate my homework" excuse—we have found that she is very receptive to redirection. When given appropriate outlets, she thrives; she loves it when we hide treats inside a toilet paper or paper towel roll, or when she gets to tear up wadded-up brown paper from shipping packages. Because of this natural drive, Mango would benefit from a home that provides consistent, structured enrichment activities in general to keep her mind sharp and her energy channeled into positive habits.   Aside from being the ultimate cuddle-bug, she is a total riot to watch in the yard. When she’s playing with a ball, she has this hilarious way of getting so excited that she goes "ass-over-teakettle" then continues her romping around unfazed!    She’s also a total pro at the groomer—she handled her recent bath, haircut, and nail trim like a rockstar.   She'd be a wonderful addition to the lucky family that adopts her. Story
Animal Information: Coconut is an approximately 1-year-old female Schnauzer mix who weighs about 12 pounds. She arrived at the shelter with her sister when their family had to move and was unable to take them along. This sweet girl has quickly won over both the staff and her canine companions. She is friendly, social, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. After her sister found a home, Coconut joined a kennel with several small dogs and fit right in, making friends with everyone she met. With her loving personality and easygoing nature, Coconut is ready to find a family of her own. Foster Profile: Coconut has settled in really well in foster care. She does great in her crate and hasn't had any accidents as long as she's on a consistent potty schedule. She loves running around and playing with the three other dogs in the house—a large male Doberman, a German Pinscher, and a Chihuahua mix. She's also been very sweet with the two dog-respectful kids in the home, ages 2½ and 7. Coconut has come a long way with her confidence on leash, but I think she'd be happiest in a quieter suburban home without all the constant city noise. She's not much of a barker, but she does make the cutest little happy growls and "woo-woos" when her people come home. She's had no issues with the other dogs, though she'll let them know if she'd rather not be bothered while she's relaxing in her bed. She rides well in the car and, while she's a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly if they're patient and let her come to them. Once she feels comfortable, she's a really sweet, easy little dog. Story
Meet Lumiere! This sweet boy came to us after being rescued from the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter. He is just the nicest dog! He came to us in very poor condition but is doing well in his foster home now. Lumiere is around 7 years old and 22 lbs. He is an easy-going and gentle boy. He is in a foster home with quite a few other dogs, both big and small, a few cats and a few kids. He takes it all in stride. He is not super playful but just content to be around you. Not a needy kind of boy. He likes to snoop around the yard and sun himself, and loves a walk every day too. Lumiere can probably fit into any situation - he doesn't seem to mind and is grateful for love shown to him. He is a lovely boy.  He is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Rebel! We found him running blindly down the road and do not know too much of his background, but he is showing himself to be friendly, playful, and a lot of fun. Rebel has seen eye specialists, and from what we have been told, his eyes will need medications throughout his life. While this means he should limit outdoor time on sunny or windy days, it does not stop him from enjoying a full life. He is great on leash! Rebel is waiting for his schnauzer-loving forever home! Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.wagsequimwa.com If you have any questions, please email: office@wagsequimwa.com. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Adoption donation fee up to $350 (Please understand this adoption donation goes towards helping all the dogs we rescue) July 4, 2026, 4:43 pm

✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. 1️⃣ Health Condition * Not spayed yet. 2️⃣ Rescue Story * Baekseol was surviving on food scraps in a trash-filled, squalid environment alongside her puppies, #AdogsHeukkong and #AdogsBaekkong. She was kept tied up, yet despite such harsh conditions, both she and her puppies maintained a bright disposition. Unable to leave them behind, Adogs urgently stepped in to rescue the entire family. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is an exceptionally friendly dog who shows no shyness around strangers. Actively approaches people and expresses deep affection. * With Dogs: Gets along wonderfully with her puppies. As she has only recently arrived at our center, she has not yet integrated with other canine friends. * With Cats: Has not met a cat yet. * Separation Anxiety: Currently displays no specific symptoms. However, as she is living in a communal environment, her true behavior in a home remains unknown. House-training will be necessary from scratch once transitioned. * Potty Training: Strictly prefers outdoor elimination at our center. A change in environment may require a re-establishment of potty training. *.Hygiene: Is highly cooperative and handles all forms of hygiene care calmly and well. * Walks: Follows the handler's lead beautifully and walks very well on a leash. * Showed no signs of motion sickness during short-distance travel. * Has never shown any signs of biting or snapping. * No barking or whining has been observed. However, training may be needed once she adjusts to a home environment. * Is very fond of treats. * Is a sweet, affectionate companion with a bright and radiant smile.
