Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sebastian! Sebastian is a handsome young Schnauzer mix with a big heart and even bigger energy! Born around May 6, 2024, and weighing approximately 30 pounds, this lovable boy is ready to start a new chapter after a rough beginning. He was sadly left behind when his family moved away, but thanks to a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, Sebastian was rescued and given a second chance at life. Now he’s looking for an active family that will never leave him behind again. Sebastian is full of playful, puppy energy and thrives on companionship—he wants nothing more than to be near his people at all times. He can be vocal when separated or caged away from the family, simply because he loves being part of the action. Daily exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation will help him shine in his new home. If you're looking for a loyal, energetic companion who will keep you smiling and moving, Sebastian is your guy! His adoption fee is $300. Apply to adopt him at www.adoggie4you.org.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2025, 12:53 pm

Story
Meet Tater! Sweet Tater is so handsome! Not only does he have good looks, but he has a lovely personality to boot. Isn't that what we all look for?! Tater is a Schnauzer, medium in size and around 1-2 years old. He is a friendly, somewhat timid boy. He is calm in the home and does well with children and other dogs. We have not seen him with cats so recommend him for a cat-free home. Tater is good on walks. His only challenge is that he does not like to be confined - he says 'no thank you' to being crated. He does not love being alone but has improved a lot in this area in his foster home. He will be best in a home with a yard because he can bark initially when left alone. Once he feels comfortable and relaxed, his reluctance to be alone gets much better.  Tater will be vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Ash💗 💙 Ash’s Update Account: @ash__wad 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, and heartworm retest scheduled for June 2025. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Ash lived in the Gimje City Shelter with a heavy iron chain around her neck, staring quietly at visitors through the fence. After a long time without adoption and ending up on the euthanasia list, she was urgently rescued by Adogs. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is friendly even with strangers and enjoys gentle touch. Can be slightly timid at first, pausing before approaching, but once petted, she accepts affection calmly. With familiar people, she happily wags her tail and relaxes by their side. * With Dogs: Likes to greet new dogs slowly and calmly. If another dog is aggressive or dominant, she expresses discomfort, but with familiar dogs, she approaches naturally and enjoys relaxed interactions. Is more of a quiet companion than a playful buddy. * With Cats: When meeting cats on walks, she just glances at them or shows disinterest. However, she wants to follow cats that move quickly. * Separation Anxiety: Before going out, if you leave a nose work toy, she stays calm and engaged with it. However, sometimes she tries to find more treats or tears open the trash bag seemingly by curiosity. * Potty Training: 100% outdoor potty trained. Goes for potty walks 2–3 times per day. * Walks: Is a polite walker with minimal pulling. Occasionally pulls at crosswalks, but quickly adjusts to the handler’s pace. * Hygiene: Is very cooperative during bath time! Although she may resist toothbrushing at the start, once it begins, she stays calm and allows it. * Car Sickness: Is not fully used to riding in cars yet, but is slowly adjusting and improving. 4⃣ Special Notes * Knows the commands: “Sit,” “Paw,” “Lie Down,” and “Wait.” * Is a cautious pup who may get startled by sudden movements or approaches. Is okay with background sounds like radio or audio, but gets a little scared by TV noise. * Is crate-trained and feels comfortable resting or eating treats in her crate.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Huxley came to us with his girlfriend Haven a couple of weeks after we took in their 2 baby girls.  Their owner left the country and a family member took them in.  Soon after they realized Haven was pregnant so they kept them until the puppies were ready for homes.  They couldn't keep them permanently because they already had dogs of their own.  So now it's Huxley's turn to find a permanent family that will make his next home his last home.   He's a nice boy and great size at 34 pounds.  Not too small and not too big.  He is house trained and been a nice guest in his foster home.  He was never crate trained and doesn't appreciate being in a crate, not for long anyways (he messed up a crate door to escape when he first arrived).  We are requiring a securely fenced yard for this guy so he can safely explore his yard while out on potty breaks or hanging out with you outside.     Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 28, 2025, 2:32 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Doug is an estimated 6-7 year old 39 lb neutered male mixed breed (predominantly Airedale, we believe) originally taken in as a stray in Hawaii and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle rescue. Doug is very docile and sweet companion who is friendly with dogs and children. What he lacks in confidence he makes up for with his goofy good looks. He will thrive with a patient owner or family who can provide structure and leadership as he settles into routine, and continue to work on his confidence outside the home.  Foster Updates: In the past couple of months, Doug has blossomed from a dog who was scared of his own shadow outside to an almost normal dog! Whereas previously he would pancake on walks, he now walks wall on leash with a confident handler; he still does startle at loud noises though. Doug does very well in the crate and only cries for a few moments when left alone. He is fine being crated for a normal work day. He has low exercise needs and a long morning walk is sufficient to keep him snoozing the rest of the day. He will bark when strangers enter the home so he probably wouldn't be a good fit for an apartment. A more quiet environment would be much preferred to city living for this Hawaiian boy. Doug has previously lived with another dog and small children and was always very patient and gentle with the kids despite his nervous nature. While he does enjoy the company of other even keeled dogs and is very pack oriented we think he would do best with a gentle dog or as the only dog. (He's not a big player). Doug has not been tested with cats. Doug enjoys chew toys, is not destructive, and is working on his food motivation (currently low), housetraining (doing great!) and basic obedience (a work in progress). So far he knows crate, and lays down when told to sit. He's extremely gentle taking food and loves to lay at your feet while you're on the couch or working from home. He insists on pats and will nudge you if you stop. After a short time, Doug is comfortable inside the house and calm (with occasional zoomies) and he will thrive with someone who can help him push past his fears to feel safe, and further build his confidence. This boy is making progress day by day and we look forward to finding him the perfect match.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500 which includes neuter, current Rabies, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test, and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Kauai Humane Society arriving to Seattle 2/20/2020 and adopted after a few weeks in foster care. Unfortunately he was returned to the rescue after almost five years because the adopters had not managed to potty train him and were not able to provide time or attention to his potty training. Doug has been in foster care with DGS since 4/11/25. He is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area after receiving six weeks of training in foster care. June 5, 2025, 2:39 pm
