Tabby kittens & cats in Hoover, Alabama

My cat is a loving and affectionate boy who deserves a home where he can have more freedom and attention. Due to my current living situation, he has to stay confined to my bedroom for long periods of time because someone in the household is afraid of him. I want him to have a home where he can comfortably explore, play, and be part of the family. I’m looking for a patient, loving and responsible person who will treat him like family and give him the attention and care he deserves.

Teddy is a sweet, chunky, cat. He loves to be brushed, loves to be pet. He’s very shy at first but once he warms up to you, he becomes the most loving, cuddly cat. He is 6 years old. His prior owner no longer wanted to have pets and wanted to get rid of him. He is strictly an indoor cat and is very well behaved. Has never had an accident with me.

Meet Links! Links is an adorable gray tabby boy born in July who currently weighs about 5 lbs. He and his sister, Butters, were found on a rainy night abandoned on a dirt road in rural Alabama, but this little survivor hasn’t let his rough start dim his bright spirit. True to his name, Links is fast as lightning! He loves racing around, climbing the cat tree, and turning playtime into his own little adventure. When the zoomies are over, he’s just as happy being held and will reward you with a loud, happy purr. Links is a fun-loving, sweet kitten who enjoys both playtime and affection. He’s also litter box trained and ready to settle into a loving forever home. Claudia was born into rescue on Memorial Day. She along with her 7 siblings have enjoyed an idealistic “kitty”hood, being raised by both a wonderful kitten mom and a caring foster human mom. Together, they have taught the kittens to be polite, patient, and playful. Claudia is no exception, she is a patient, affectionate little girl with the adorable looks to back it up. Claudia is a classic short-hair white and grey/brown tabby. St. Gertrude Rescue does not have set adoption fee's. It costs a minimum of $150 for us to fully vet each kitten, including all vaccinations and spay/neuter. We ask adopting families to contribute toward this vetting.

Dominic and his 3 siblings came into rescue when they were about 7 weeks old. Dominic is a stunning dark grey/brown tabby. Even more beautiful is that his hair ends in silver tips, making him look like he is a walking LED display. Dominic is a sweet, snuggly lil guy that would brighten the life of anyone who is lucky enough to make him their fur-ever baby. St. Gertrude Rescue does not have set adoption fee's. It costs a minimum of $150 for us to fully vet each kitten, including all vaccinations and spay/neuter. We ask adopting families to contribute toward this vetting.

"Cashew is a handsome boy, he’s a year and a half old, neutered male. He was born at our house and still lives with his mom and brother. He is a loving and active little guy who loves a laser pointer and playtime and watching birds and lizards outside our window. He is also quite snuggly and will sit in your lap. Unfortunately, he has suffered with struvite crystals in the last year, and seems to have feline idiopathic cystitis and continues to pee around our home inappropriately. We have taken him to the vet multiple times and have him on special food. In many cases, the food and a better water system is supposed to help cats with FLUTD. He seems to be stressed by other stray cats in our neighborhood and living with our toddler. He’s not a fan of loud noises. We wish he could be someone's special boy who could give him lots of calm, loving attention. We think his condition would go away if he was less stressed and lived in a home with more predictable routine."

Chiqui is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing cat who has been part of our family since he was very young. He is neutered, house-trained, and enjoys spending time both indoors and outdoors. Chiqui lives with Cati, his longtime companion, and they are very close. We are looking for a safe, responsible, and loving home where he will be treated as part of the family. Our strong preference is for Chiqui and Cati to be adopted together. I will cover the cost of bringing Chiqui’s 2026 vaccinations up to date before adoption.

I adopt Woody (Hollywood) from Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue in 2019, when he was just a little kitten. It was said that people found him, losing his mom, near a forest, so he was named 'Hollywood'. He came to my house with his kitten peer, Kailie, on the same day. Later in 2020, I got Chi, another kitten. The cats have been living with me and my dog for years. They are all well with each other. Woody is more friendly with Chi, as in the photos in which two of them are with each other. I married last year. We have been trying to get the cats along with my wife for more than a year, but very little success. My wife and I are trying to get a baby. So my wife is getting more anxious and somewhat stressful with the cats' behavior. Sometimes the cats show hissing to her. This is why we are trying to find new homes for all three cats. Among the cats, Woody is the most friendly and easy-going with human. He is still energetic and often tries to have fun with other girl cats.
