But their mama was the sweetest, most loving cat you could ever meet, and I knew that same goodness had to be tucked somewhere inside her babies, just waiting for a chance to shine. Over time, Cork has slowly blossomed. He’s learned what love feels like. He’s learned that hands can give soft pets, that laps can be warm and safe, and that people can be gentle.
