Cheddar is a gentle, affectionate orange tabby I adopted from a close friend after her cat had a litter. He’s turning 2 on August 24th, 2025 (Kobe Day!) and has been such a special part of my life. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected move back in with my parents, who are not open to having a cat, I’m faced with the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home. Cheddar is incredibly sweet and loving. While he might be a little shy at first, he warms up and forms strong bonds. He has never been aggressive — no biting, no scratching, no sass. Just a mellow, calm, cuddly companion who loves being near people and melts your heart with his quiet charm. I’m looking for a forever home for him — someone who will love him as much as I do, be patient as he adjusts, and commit to giving him the safety, affection, and care he deserves. He truly is a gentle soul who just wants to be loved. If you’re ready to open your heart to this adorable orange boy, Cheddar is ready to meet you. 💛

Unlike her silver tabby & white big brother Alder (read about Alder here), she is very shy around new people and loud noises -- she will hide. She has "petting time" once a day and gets super affectionate purring and rubbing into her foster mom as she gets brushed, but she mostly hangs out with her siblings. She is looking to be adopted with her brother Alder. They love playing with toys, bird watching, and running kitty races around the house. Say hi to Gopher! Gopher is a very good guy. He was born on the street in Boyle Heights, and rescued with his sister Euphemia. He was adopted two years ago, but his adopter recently fell on hard times and reached out to get help rehoming him. So due to no fault of his, Gopher had to return to our care. He is looking for a new forever home! Gopher is a shy boy, but very open to love and affection. He would do fine as a solo pet, but also gets along great with other cats and small dogs. Otis is a total super curious goofball and a “sandwich” cat. He wants to be in the middle of everything! He’s always investigating (he has a thing for empty paper bags and burrowing under covers), exploring and loves to follow his foster dad around the apartment. Once he gets to know you he’s *super* affectionate, chirpy, and loves to play. He will curl up on his foster dad’s lap at the drop of a hat, and loves to snuggle next to him in bed. Otis was quite shy when he first arrived at the shelter with his brother Max (white markings), but they have totally bloomed into a super happy pair of bonded cats in their foster home. They’re 2 years old so they have lots of energy and are extremely playful, affectionate and silly. When it’s treat time, if you hold the treat above their heads they’ll stand up on their back paws, which is really cute. Otis is the smaller of the two but he has a *huge* personality. Otis and Max are absolutely joined at the hip and do everything together, so they need to be adopted together. They’re very playful and love to chase each other around the apartment and engage in all sorts of hijinks. And when they get tired of that, you’ll find them napping together/on top of each other. They are still wary of new people and will need a little time to warm up when they first meet you, but if you’re patient you’ll be rewarded with two very outgoing happy-go-lucky brothers who will be your new best friends. Ricky came to the shelter with a severe skin condition around his head and ears. It took a while but medical treated him and now he`s good as new! He`s still a little sensitive about being touched around his face and ears from when he was being treated, but he`s getting used to the idea that head pets don`t always mean medical treatment. :-) He loves to play, and he`s not picky about what kind of toys he plays with, or if it`s even supposed to be a toy. He will entertain himself, but he welcomes others to join in if they want to. Ricky loves to be held. He will snuggle right in and start purring loud enough to hear across the room. He`s a great little cat and is going to make his lucky adopter very happy.
