Buttercup came into our life by surprise in late 2023 she was sleeping on our porch and we tried finding if she was lost since she was a very social and trained cat. No one would claim her so she became part of our home. I welcomed by baby girl Oct 2025 and she isn’t reacting well to the cat. Buttercup is a sweet and cuddly cat. She is very social and loves to be around people. She is litter box trained. She loves to hang around and cuddle. She will play from time to time but prefers to be cuddling. She is very sweet to any visitor. We have not had any incidents of her scratching or biting unless she’s playing where she playfully will nibble. She also likes to be on a couch and will not scratch. We trained her to not scratch on surfaces.

My mom and sister were shopping at Walmart 3 years ago and they saw a man with free kittens. My mom decided to take her and keep her, we love her but we are allergic to her and want her to go to a great home where she can be happiest. She also knows how to sit and knows when we’re about to give her food. We ask her if she’s hungry and that’s when she’s gets all happy.

CONRAD is a male-neutered short hair brown tabby senior cat, born about 2017. He was rescued as a stray. The owner of Conrad (& Isabel, & Jeremiah) died, & his daughter was unable to keep them. YAPS accepted him (& the other two cats) mid-Sept. 2025. No prior veterinary records are available. The prior owner's daughter states Conrad was rather shy, but there was very limited human contact with the cats. He’s getting more social at YAPS, with more human interaction. We find him to be: handsome, & progressively more social. He may or may not come to you to be petted. He may accept being petted, and may head-butt you in appreciation. Currently he prefers not to be held. When adopted, he should initially be placed in a “safe room” to gradually adjust to his new surroundings.
