I adopted this cat in late April 2026 from the Mary S. Roberts Shelter. She is about 2 1/2 years old. She has digestive issues, with semi-formed to liquid stools. She is otherwise healthy. She has seen the vet and had an exam, a blood test, and a fecal test. All were negative or within normal limits. In the shelter they fed dry kibble. I moved her on to wet food, but she is still having issues with semi-formed to liquid stools. I don't have the time, patience or money to try to figure out what the problem is. Her personality is wonderful! She loves to be petted, loves to sit in your lap and be near you. She is super sweet and loving.

These kittens come from a beautiful blonde stray cat who I have been feeding for the past year. She gave birth to her kittens in April. The momma has been doing a good job nursing her litter being that she is so young herself:( . I have a lot on my plate with school, new career and granbaby in the house that I won't be able to keep up with the kittens. On top of that I do not have permission from my landlord to keep them on the property. I would love for them to go to a good hime where they will be loved.

The story behind Frankie, my coworker took in a pregnant stray cat and we took in two babies from that litter. Frankie is around 2/3 years old, she’s a very curious creature who flops on the floor asking for pets, she loves feeding time and ideally prefers dry food but eats both. She has no issues drinking water, using the litter box or playing. Other than that, she keeps to herself, welcomes affection and adjusts to new surroundings just fine.

She is six years old her birthday is May 5th 2020. Very loving cat. I have had her since she was a kitten and it’s truly so so hard to rehome her. I have two other male cats and she is very territorial around them especially around food time. She is not given enough attention truthfully. I think she will have a better life in a single cat home. She needs lot of attention and does not like to be left alone for long periods of time. Such a sweet girl with so much personality. I do not have the time to give her the attention she deserves. My family and I LOVE these cats dearly. They are the sweetest, most affectionate cats we've ever met. However, they have a tendency to chew and ingest non-food items, which has been dangerous to their health. Both have had surgery to remove objects from their intestines. Due to having young kids, we can't keep our house tidy enough to make it a safe environment for the cats. Shirla and her two sons, Shadd and Shaydon, were admitted to Devore Animal Shelter in June of 2018, when shelter staff estimated Shirla to be about three years old. By an unusual bureaucratic twist, the little family was transferred to Riverside Shelter in early July. Although Kitty Devore Rescue pulls exclusively from Devore, we never stopped considering them “ours.” The KD team worked quickly to bring Shirla and her boys safely into our foster care program, where they finally landed exactly where they belonged. While her boys have long since found their forever homes, Shirla is still waiting for her perfect people to come along. Shirla is a spunky, confident, and delightfully feisty girl who knows what she wants and isn’t shy about it. She wants all the toys, all the treats, and all the attention, thank you very much. Though she’s a full-grown adult, she has the playful energy and spark of a much younger cat. We didn't know, and the shelter staff didn't know, but she was expecting when we rescued Rosy in early August 2023! Her foster parents didn't anticipate kittens as part of the fostering deal, but they learned the happy news after a veterinary exam appointment. We were concerned though. Rosy, just one year old then, was so thin and malnourished. We had just enough time to help her fortify her body in anticipation of her bundles of joy. A month after her rescue, Rosy welcomed identical gray quadruplets on September 6th - Ace, Charlie, Bootz, and her single daughter, Jannie. Rosy, just like an actual rose, takes time to bloom. Her foster parents discovered that patience and dedicated love enabled Rosy to blossom into the most loving of companions to humans and other cats alike. After a hard life on the streets, she relishes her leisure time and indoor life, lounging in her bowl scratchers for hours on end. She appreciates chin scratches and is endlessly fascinated with Bird TV. Above all else, she loves her treats and anyone can entice her with Churus or Temptations. Of course, these don't stunt her appetite. Rosy never misses a meal!
