MARCH 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. MAY GRANT and her 4 siblings (KAREN WILSON - JOSH RUSSO - ATHENA GRANT - EDDIE DIAZ) were saved from a hoarding case in Watts, California. They were all barley surviving. We named all the cats that were saved from that place after the characters in the show 911. Meet MAY GRANT, a gentle brown tabby from Watts, California, whose quiet charm is as soft as her luxurious striped coat. She carries a delicate curiosity about the world, paired with a shy nature that blossoms with patience and care. MAY GRANT’s story began in a challenging situation, as she was rescued from a hoarding environment, and now she is ready to discover the joys of a peaceful and loving home. Though she may take a little time to step out from her hiding spots, those who get to know her will find a delightful companion who thrives in calm, nurturing surroundings. MAY GRANT has a playful streak that emerges when she feels safe, often batting at toys or chasing a ribbon with the stealthy grace only a tabby can summon. Her gentle demeanor makes her especially compatible with other cats, and she seems to find comfort in feline companionship, often observing or quietly joining in their playful antics. MAY GRANT's ideal home is one where she can gradually build trust and feel secure, with caregivers who understand the power of patience and soft encouragement. Positive reinforcement and a calm environment will help her confidence grow, and she is sure to reward careful attention with moments of affection, soft purring, and gentle head nudges once she feels comfortable. She is not one for loud chaos but thrives on steady routines, quiet play, and gentle interaction, making her a perfect companion for those who appreciate a cat who comes into her own at her own pace. She is a resilient little soul with a story that inspires compassion and empathy. Every playful pounce and tentative nuzzle she offers is a glimpse of the love and joy she is ready to share with her new caregiver. MAY GRANT is waiting for a home where she can feel truly safe, loved, and understood, and where her unique personality can shine at its own sweet rhythm. Are you ready to welcome this shy but spirited tabby into your life and watch her grow into the affectionate companion she is meant to be? APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. ZELENA was saved from the streets of Murrieta, California. Our volunteer saw her posted on Nextdoor and felt so bad for her. She picked her up to find out that the ZELENA was dumped by her previous family. We got her fully vetted. Unfortunately she was pregnant at the time. We were unaware that she was at the time of the appointment. Meet ZELENA, a radiant orange tabby female from Murrieta, California, whose warm golden coat is only rivaled by the warmth of her purring heart. With a personality as bold as her beautiful coloring, ZELENA is a curious, affectionate lap cat who’s equal parts snuggly companion and sassy queen. ZELENA is the kind of cat who knows exactly what she wants—and what she wants most is your attention. She adores being petted and will reward you with a full-on purr symphony the moment your hand reaches her soft fur. Whether you’re reading a book or working on your laptop, expect ZELENA to climb into your lap, settle in like royalty, and make herself perfectly at home. While she’s full of love for people, ZELENA prefers to reign as the solo feline in your kingdom. She thrives as the center of attention and would be happiest in a home where she doesn’t have to share her space (or your lap!) with other cats. Her playful curiosity and people-oriented nature make her the ultimate one-on-one companion. ZELENA has a touch of feistiness that only adds to her charm—think of it as spice in the sweetness. She’s spirited and independent, with a dash of diva flair, and she’s not afraid to let you know when she needs some personal space. But once she’s had a little time to herself, she’s right back to being your affectionate shadow. This large-and-in-charge lady is looking for a loving home where she can stretch out, soak up affection, and finally enjoy the peace and pampering she’s been waiting for. Are you ready to meet a lap cat with personality, purrs, and a whole lot of heart? To learn more or to adopt ZELENA, please apply at: Workinwhiskers.com. ZELENA is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. She is about 3 years and 10 months old and is tolerant of other cats. She has not been around young children We were told that she lived with a German Shepard whom she loved very much. ZELENA is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. FEBUARY 2025 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. CORA HALE, her mom NATALIE MARTIN and her 4 siblings (KIRA YUKIMURA, THEO RAEKEN, LIAM DUNBAR and MALIA TATE) were rescued from the a backyard. Rescue mama was called that the neighbors were not being kind to the little family. So a trapper went out and trapped the family and brought them to our rescue. With all the chaotic rescuing going on in the summer, we were not able to get out kittens into our regular clinic. We were offered a different clinic and we made the appointments. To our dismay 7 of the 18 cats sent to this clinic ended up in the emergency room. CORA HALE was one of them. Her incision opened and were were able to save her. Our little CORA HALE has been through so much tragedy at such a young age. She deserves a wonderful home that will love her and want to give her a TRUE FUREVER home. Meet CORA HALE, a shy and sweet orange and white tabby from a quiet corner of the world, whose timid nature is perfectly balanced by her love for fun and food. CORA HALE is the kind of cat who needs a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her quirky side really shines. You’ll often catch her hissing at first, but don’t let that fool you—she’s just a little hesitant at the start. With patience and understanding, CORA HALE becomes the sweetest companion, especially when she’s surrounded by her favorite things: catnip, treats, and a good can of wet food. CORA HALE's love for catnip is nothing short of legendary—once she gets a whiff, it’s like a switch flips, and she’s ready for all the crazy antics that come with it! Her playful side also comes out when you toss a toy her way; she’ll chase and bat it around like the happiest little kitty. But what really brings her joy is having a fellow feline friend around. CORA HALE absolutely thrives in the company of other cats, and she would benefit from having a friendly, confident cat to help her feel more secure and comfortable in her new surroundings. A cat companion who can show her the ropes and help her build confidence would make all the difference in her journey. CORA HALE would do best in a quiet, loving home where she has time to acclimate and get used to her new family. A patient pet parent who understands the value of giving her space when she needs it, and gently encouraging her with treats, play, and a little love, will see her blossom into the affectionate and playful companion she’s meant to be. Are you the gentle, caring family who can help CORA HALE bloom into her most confident self? Reach out today at Workinwhiskers.com CORA HALE is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. She is 2 years and 10 months old. She is good with cats. She, along with her three siblings – Shadow, Elco, and Inky – were rescued from a truck station in Los Angeles, California, where they were left to navigate the world on their own. Now, STARBIE is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to learn how to trust and blossom into the loving companion she’s meant to be. A Shy but Gentle Soul STARBIE is a bit shy at first, as her early experiences left her a little uncertain about the world. She may take time to warm up to new people, but once she feels comfortable, she’s a sweet and affectionate cat who loves gentle pets. While she might not be the first to jump into your lap, she does appreciate a soft touch and kind words. Over time, STARBIE will build the trust she needs to feel secure and will show her true, loving personality. Great with Other Cats STARBIE gets along well with other cats, especially those who are kind and respectful of her boundaries. She enjoys the company of other felines and could thrive in a multi-cat household where she can feel part of a calm, safe social group. She is likely to do well with other friendly cats who will help her feel at ease. A Journey of Trust Though STARBIE is still learning to trust humans, she’s made incredible progress since her rescue. With time, patience, and positive reinforcement, she’s discovering that people can be kind and that love comes with safety and security. She’ll need an adopter who is willing to go at her pace, offering her the space and gentle encouragement she needs to open up. Her Ideal Home Quiet and Calm: STARBIE will do best in a peaceful home where she can feel safe and secure as she continues to adjust. Loud noises or chaotic environments might overwhelm her, so a calm household will help her thrive. Patient and Understanding Adopter: STARBIE needs someone who understands shy cats and is ready to help her build confidence at her own pace. An adopter with experience in working with shy or sensitive cats will be ideal. Friendly Cats: Since STARBIE enjoys the company of other cats, she would do well in a home with other friendly, non-aggressive cats who will help her feel comfortable and give her space to adjust. A Bright Future Ahead STARBIE may be a little shy and unsure right now, but with the right person, she will blossom into a loving, affectionate cat who will return your patience and kindness with loyalty and companionship. Watching her come out of her shell and become the confident, trusting cat she’s destined to be will be an incredibly rewarding experience. If you’re looking for a quiet and sweet cat who needs a little extra time to feel secure, STARBIE might be the perfect fit for you. She’s ready to start the next chapter of her life and is waiting for the person who will help her learn to trust and love again. STARBIE is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / MACKEREL TABBY MIX. She is about 3 year 1 month old and is good with cats. She has not been around young children or dogs. She has been around Guinea pigs. STARBIE is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. FEBUARY 2025 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. STARBIE and her 3 siblings (SHADOW, ELCO & INKY) were rescued from Los Angeles, California on Alameda and 101 in a trucking company parking lot. Rescue mama was called that a lady was trapping all the cats to get them fixed and needed help with the kittens. So our trapper went out and brough us the kittens so they would not have to die in that truck parking lot. They brought us 2 different set of siblings. A total of 7 kittens. And now STARBIE is ready for her FUREVER home! Meet STARBIE: A Sweet and Shy Tabby Ready to Blossom STARBIE is a beautiful Mackerel tabby with striking markings and a gentle soul. OCTOBER 2025 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. VICTORIA and her 4 kittens (GROGU - EWOK - MUCHI-JAWA) were part of a huge TNR effort in Los Angeles County. The group TNRed all the adult cats and rescued moms with kittens. They went to a foster. Then we were asked to help get them good homes. Now Ms. VICTORIA is ready for her FUREVER home! Meet VICTORIA, a very sweet and vocal tortoiseshell cat with a personality as colorful as her coat. This chatty girl will make sure you know exactly what she's thinking with her various meows and trills. Don't be fooled by her soft and sugary disposition, though—VICTORIA can be a little feisty and sassy, especially when she's trying to get her point across. She absolutely thrives on human interaction and loves nothing more than getting a good chin scratch or a long pet session. While she adores attention, she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, so a quiet and patient introduction is best. When it comes to other cats, VICTORIA is a "queen bee" at heart. She's okay with other felines, but she definitely prefers to be the ruler of her castle. She needs a patient and easygoing cat companion who will respect her boundaries. There’s no violence in this feisty girl—she’s all talk and sass, not a bully. Despite her regal attitude, she’s still very much a playful cat who loves chasing toys and pouncing on imaginary creatures. Her playful energy and loving nature make her an incredibly special and entertaining companion. If you're looking for a vocal, loving, and sassy feline to rule your heart and your home, VICTORIA is the cat for you. Adopt VICTORIA, and let her fill your life with love, laughter, and companionship. VICTORIA is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TORTISHELL MIX. She is 5 years 4 months old. APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. SIRIUS BLACK and his 3 siblings (LILY POTTER, JAMES POTTER and BELLATRIX) were found in the back yard in San Jacinto, California. The owner of the home trapped mom got her fixed and released her back into her back yard. Mama cat is very well taken care of. But the owner of the home needed help getting the kittens homes. So, we agreed to help her if she fostered them until we could get them vetted and put at PETSMART. Now they are ready! Meet SIRIUS BLACK, a playful tuxedo cat from San Jacinto, California whose bold personality is perfectly suited to his striking black-and-white coat. With a name as legendary as his, SIRIUS BLACK lives up to the hype as the big boy of the bunch, always eager to be in charge and set the tone for playtime. His dazzling white whiskers and stylish tuxedo markings give him a dapper look that matches his commanding presence. Whether he’s leading a game of chase or romping around with his toys, Sirius brings energy and fun wherever he goes. When it comes to mealtime, this guy takes it very seriously! SIRIUS BLACK is a foodie at heart, and his love for his meals might even have him trotting to the kitchen at the sound of a can being opened. He is loud and proud, never shy about letting you know when he’s hungry or in the mood for some excitement. His boisterous nature adds a dash of fun to the household, making sure that everyone knows when he’s around and ready to play. But don’t let all that rambunctious energy fool you—when the day starts to wind down, SIRIUS BLACK has a softer side. After a good round of playing boss, he loves nothing more than to settle in for some cozy snuggles. He’s the perfect lap cat once he’s all tuckered out, purring contentedly as he nestles up for a snooze. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds—spirited playfulness and sweet cuddles—SIRIUS BLACK is your guy! He seems to have a special bond with his sister, BELLATRIX, often found playing and exploring the world together. Their dynamic brings a lot of joy, and SIRIUS BLACK shines even brighter with his sister by his side. Are you ready to welcome this fun-loving, snack-craving, cuddle champion into your family? SIRIUS BLACK is eager to share his big personality with a new pet parent! Could that be you? SIRIUS BLACK is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TUXEDO MIX. He is about 2 years and 1 month old. He has been around cats, but he isn't very fond of them. He gets along very well with his sister, but they are not bonded. He has lived with children and a dog. Our trapper friend could not find a rescue. They had to live in a kitty tent in someone's backyard. When she told us, we frantically got them here. SERGEANT BECKER is with our rescue now and is ready to be adopted. Meet SERGEANT BECKER, a cat with a personality as large as his name suggests. This sweet soul is a blend of bravery and shyness, often seen embarking on playful adventures around the rescue, yet still appreciating his quiet moments. His curiosity is endless, always eager to explore new toys or corners. SERGEANT BECKER's mellow demeanor is balanced by his goofy antics that never fail to bring laughter. His intelligence shines through his independent spirit, yet he's always ready to tumble with one of his kitten friends.
