Story
We have had Ty for over 12 years and have had to separate him and a female older cat. We were able to manage this but moved into a new house that makes the separation more challenging. We feel that Ty would do so well in a single cat household. Having the other cat here stresses him out. When on his own, he is curious, playful, lovable, and affectionate. It breaks our heart to have to rehome him, but feel he would be happier with constant companionship. We adobted Ty from the Humane Society and he recently had his vet appt and is all caught up with his shots. We have a litter box and scratching posts that he likes. We want Ty's new family to be possibly an older adult that is home and can love and be with him. We are traveling a lot and have to leave him and the other cat separated the whole time. Ty is a kisser and loves to lick you and sleep in bed with you. We let him sleep in the bed with us. We want a cat lover who will love this boy as much as we have over these past 12yrs.

I love this cat a lot. The chances of someone being right for him is slim. But... he bullys my other cats. If there is a unicorn out there that have no kids or other cats and you can convince me you'll love him forever... maybe I can part with him. But probably not. But Im also desperate for cat peace. Uhg worst pitch ever

Story
WANTED: An experienced cat lover who’s versed in self-absorbed cat antics. Meet STEWIE. He’s a smart and a hugely endearing furball. 12ish years old. FIV+ (not FELV), vaccinated, neutered, litterbox trained. He’s beautiful and he knows it. Has more expectations of you than your mother. Will tell you about his day with “mehs” instead of meows. Best as a single cat in a home with no kiddos. He lost his owner after she passed away and has been voicing his disapproval to his current foster about his situation, ever since. A situation that will change soon since his foster cannot keep him due to family illness. He enjoys holding your lap hostage until he no longer has use for it. Will claim items as “his”, regardless of whether you need them. A downright hedonist LOVE PIG, but will make it clear when he’s over it, and needs someone who’s patient, cat savvy, and understanding of his moods. Stewie's a good boy, very lovable, and deserves a peaceful home and a better life.

Story
Audrey is 10 years old and one of the sweetest cats you will meet. We adopted her when she was 6 months in Los Angeles and she has been with our family ever since. She is very friendly, loves to cuddle, but also very independent and adventures outdoors for hours. She is a permanent kitten, always has weighed about 8 pounds, but has loads of personality. It is with very mixed feelings that we are finding her a new home, but feel that its the right thing to do for her and for our family now that we have a toddler. We originally got her as a companion for our other cat, and they have had a bit of a love/hate relationship over the years, sometimes getting along well, and other times being territorial and hissing at each other. We have had dogs for most of her life as well, and she has gotten along with them, mostly keeping her distance, but coexisting peacefully. She is adaptable, but we are looking for a home with no other cats or kids, where she can still live an indoor/outdoor life.

Story
Ava was rescued from Aunts barn in Ava, Missouri as a 3mo old. We brought her back home in our van, which she loved! She is athletic, spunky, loving and prey driven. Very curious about everything going on in the household. I live in an environment where she must be an indoor cat. She is ok with leash, but, doesn’t enjoy the limitations of the situation with the harness and leash. Uses the litter box beautifully, however she is compelled to mark furniture and belongings on the floor. I feel that she would be happier in an indoor/outdoor or outdoor with a way to get out of weather and potential predators environment. She loves open spaces. This is difficult for me, but, I want the best for her and her spirit.

Story
Luna and her brother Leo are 2yr old tabbies and were given to us by a friend of the family who was moving and unfortunately not able to bring them with. Our family has enjoyed their company for the last few months but our other cat is having a hard time adjusting to having two new cats around. We would like to find a new loving home for these two sweet cats. Both are very playful, friendly, and love cuddles. Luna is very outgoing and playful. Leo is a bit shy at first, but once he warms up to you he is incredibly sweet. They love to ruff house and are good with other animals. It is very important that they are both adopted together.

Story
Meet Nas! Super sweet boy. He was abandoned in Los Angeles. I've taken him in for a few weeks to help find him his forever home. He’s a very intelligent, independent boy who enjoys affection on his own terms. He can be incredibly sweet, but he does have a low tolerance for overstimulation, so he really needs an experienced cat owner who understands feline body language and boundaries. But man he is charming. So much personality. He would do best in a calm, adult home, even with a mellow dog. He doesn't want constant attention or to be handled frequently, but does have a very affectionate side. He’s more of a “cat person’s cat” than a typical lap cat. He's social and really likes people. He's not shy at all, or hyper, but loves to play. And in the morning, if you let him, he will happily sit on your chest and snuggle. He would thrive with someone who appreciates a more independent personality and doesn't mind that he lets you know when he's done being petted.

Story
Meet Tarzan — the ultimate tree-swinging, adventurous spirit! This feral guy was a challenge to catch, and he’s still a little wary of humans . Tarzan isn’t ready to trust people just yet, but he LOVES other cats and can tolerate calm dogs . Kids? Not his cup of tea — he prefers a peaceful, kitty-filled environment. Once you’ve earned a few minutes of his trust, he’ll tolerate gentle snuggles and may even purr . As soon as he’s ready, he’ll dash off like his tail’s on fire! Tarzan would thrive in a home with energetic feline friends to play and romp with — humans are optional for now. Story
Maria was part of a colony that was cleared in Castle Hayne, NC. She is very affectionate, sweet and playful. She originally tested positive for FeLV, but we have recently retested her for a negative result. This means she may have had it as a kitten, but her immune system fought it off and contained it to numbers that are no longer measurable. it is best in this situation to be prepared to retest every couple of years for a while. Her best friend, Ella is ;in the same position. Ideally they could be adopted together to a home with no other cats.
