Story
Archie This handsome Ginger boy is looking for a permanent home. Archie is a 2 and ½ year old stray found in Big Canoe. He was not feral but scared and very hungry. He selected a residence in Big Canoe - cats kind of know good cat folks - and has transitioned into a loving boy. He has been combo tested, neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all vaccinations. There are two inside cats in the house he selected - they all tolerate the others so he could live with other cats. However, we think he may be happiest as an only cat. Because he came as a stray from outside he can be adopted as an indoor/outdoor cat. However, he may decide inside is the best place to be. He is very gentle, even allows his paws to be rubbed and petted. He has become a lap cat and would be a wonderful addition to any home. His foster family travels a lot so he is searching for a permanent home. He is very fond of treats! If you are interested in giving this handsome guy a forever home please contact BCAR at 706-268-1346 and leave a message, send us an email at bigcanoeanimalrescue@gmail.com

Story
Echo is an eight-year-old, sweet girl! She is very independent and does not like to be held. She loves on her own time and one of her favorite ways to show love is by kneading her owners. Her parents are expecting their first baby and echo historically has not been well behaved with children. She requires a house with no children, but has lived with a cat and a dog She is not up-to-date on her shots, but lives 100% inside. She loves scratch pads and watching birds from the window

Story
Milo and cookie are 5 and came from separate litters but have been together since they were kittens. Cookie is a female, she is very timid and shy but loved to cuddle under the blankets with you. Cookie will run at the sound of a pen drop, but will poke her head out to see what the sound was. Cookie loves affection and safety. Milo is super sweet, especially when he’s hungry (which seems to be all the time). Milo reminds us of grafield, he will eat anything you give him. Milo is funny and will swat at your feet from under the bed as you walk by to play. Milo keeps to himself for the most part, but will cuddle if he sees a cozy spot next to you. I would prefer to keep them housed together since they have always been together. They are both litter box trained and spayed and neutered.

Story
Daisy showed up at our window about 2 years ago looking for food and attention. She remained outside for about 4 months while we tried to find her owners. We found someone to take her but it fell through at the last minute and we decided to take her in because of the winter. We took her to the vet and had her vaccinated, spayed and chipped. We will provide all records. She does not have any health issues. She is very sweet. She follows you around and wants to be in the room with you but does not like to be held. Pets are great. She gets along with my daughter's dogs and is friendly to any person that visits. My wife has balancing issues and is afraid that she will trip over Daisy so we are looking for someone to giver her a good home. She has been an indoor cat since we took her in.

Story
An elderly neighbor told me her dog was barking at a kitten, under a shed behind their home about 1 month ago. She called asking if I would help get the kitten to safety. I brought her to my home, bathed her & bottle fed her for about 2 1/2 weeks. Aside from her visible terror & hunger, she appeared to be very healthy. She has been exclusively an indoor cat since I found her. She has been on both dry & wet kitten food for the last 2 weeks & continues to thrive & act like a typical mischievous bundle of busy. I have 2 older cats & 2 large dogs & simply can't keep this little creature, but I will if I cannot find her a loving forever home. I'm not interested in any kind of fee to adopt her but must be assured she will be living in a safe & suitable environment.

Story
Lover Boy is very kind and sweet to humans, and he will love to lay in your lap and sleep with you all day if he could. However, he prefers to be in a home where he's the only cat, and due to some unfortunate situations with my life, I have to relocate, and I cannot bring him with me because I already have my other cat. I need him to go to a good home, where someone can prioritize him, care for him, and love him endlessly. He loves to cuddle he loves attention and affection, and he loves to be in your face to rub against you.
