We had a cat experienced foster home willing to take her in as a foster and get her used to domestic life. It took months, but now she loves the indoors, and loves human affection and attention. She follows her foster mom, Emilie, around the house, “yelling” at her, and demanding pets and butt scratches. She also gets along well with the resident cats and dog, and you can often find her hanging out with the dog!

We have a precious, beautiful jewel here. Her name is Jade, and she is about 5 years old. This wonderful girl needs a lot of love and patience as she is frightened of the world around her. Instead of playing with toys or watching the world go by as most cats do, Jade hides under her bed away from everyone and everything. When you reach to pet her, she just lies there as if she is petrified. The shelter journey has been hard for her, so she is looking for a home where she can decompress and learn to be happy again. We know she has the strength to come out of her shell given the time and love that she needs. She is also spayed and up to date on her core vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Cheesecake is a very shy, easily intimidated one-year-old cat who spent most of her life outdoors. Because she doesn’t have much experience with people, she struggles with human interaction and prefers to keep her distance. For this reason, Cheesecake would make an excellent barn cat, where she can live a more independent lifestyle while still having a safe place to call home.Cheesecake is spayed and fully up to date on all her vaccines, so she’s ready to settle into her new barn placement right away.
