Story
Inside kitty only. We do not adopt single kittens unless there is already an incumbent playful cat owned. Or adopt another from us or another rescue! As our single foster kitten, Simone, gained her health, we needed to find another kitty to foster with her so she wasn't alone. At the shelter, we found our Zoe. Unlike other trembling terrified cats and kittens, Zoe was bright-eyed and spent her time near the cage door, reaching out to anyone passing by! Zoe is 4 mos old, 4.5 lbs, tall, slender and filled with curiosity. Pretty little girl, loaded with personality with the longest tail ever! She’s a confident, bold adventurer, always up to examine, investigate and snoop around. Very smart, inquisitive, filled with funny antics, self-assured, and dare we say, flamboyant? Zoe has the vibe of a rock star. But she's not on stage not all the time. Even she tires, and she LOVES to watch tv on her foster dad's lap, and gradually nod off, perfectly relaxed and purring. Zoe's the only kitten brought downstairs to watch tv with Daddy. She reaches out and grabs life, big eyes wide and taking it all in. Zoe, seen here in photos chillaxin’ with her best buddy, Simone, who is available for adoption too. They make a great pair, they love to eat, play and sleep together. Preference will be given to applicants wanting both kittens. Simone and Zoe tag team one another, where one leaves off, the other picks up. Simone the elegant lady, Zoe the blast of a rock star. They complement one another, but come together on common pleasures.Zoe's most perfect home is where she would be an integral part of a family, receiving lots of love and attention, and another playful kitty (or SIMONE!) is an absolute MUST. We do not adopt single kittens this age without another cat (or a dog that loves cats). Zoe requires lots of engagement in the form of exercise, entertainment and engagement...also loves and cuddles.Fully vetted; spayed, rabies & distemper, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped. To meet/adopt Zoe: copy and paste URL—https://www.culpeperhumane.org/adoptions/adoption-application/Our policies are not to adopt outside our epicenter of Culpeper, VA. We adopt to all of Virginia, lower parts of MD and all of DC. Adoption protocol, begins with a submitted application, Adoption Director schedules a phone interview, if approved by her our Adoption Coordinator will schedule your virtual home check. IF approved, your application, subsequent emails and comments are forwarded to pet's foster who will contact you to schedule a meet and adopt. If all parties are in agreement to move forward to adopt we will have an adoption contract with all pet's medical paperwork for you to sign and keep. With payment of adoption fee you are granted same day adoption. But you are under no obligation to adopt. We do lifetime followups, we are not an adopt and drop rescue.

Story
Goose was adopted by our family shortly after she was born to one of our neighbourhood street cats. She was the runt of her litter and the only female, but she adapted to our family very quickly. She was raised alongside two pomeranians and does well with small dogs, but has a fear of larger ones. Sadly, we cannot keep her any longer due to allergies within the family that are impacting their health. In a new home, we're hoping for her to be taken in by someone who has experience with cats and could give her all the love she could ever need in our stead. She's loving, she's quiet unless she wants attention, and she mostly sleeps outside of random bursts of energy. She's rather independent and loves lazing about on her cat tree or on a couch, or even outside in our fenced backyard, but does have a love for scratch posts or making her own out of furniture. Her vaccinations are not up to date due to her fear of car rides and crowds, but is entirely healthy otherwise.

Story
After 10 wonderful years together, making this decision has been incredibly difficult. She is playful, energetic, curious, and loves having space to explore. She gets along well with both cats and dogs, but I believe she'd thrive in a calmer home where she can receive more one-on-one attention and daily play. She can become overstimulated and may scratch when stressed or when her boundaries aren't understood, so she'd do best with adults or older children who are familiar with cats. She has also had occasional litter box issues. Our veterinarian confirmed she is healthy and believes the behavior is stress-related.I love her deeply and simply want to find the peaceful, patient home she deserves. If you think you could give her that, I'd love to tell you more about her.

Story
Nelson (~Nelly) is truly the cutest, cuddliest, sweetest, perfect cat. I adopted him about 4 years ago, when I found him abandoned at just 4 weeks old. Sadly, I am soon moving abroad, and due to the allergies of my partner and apartment restrictions I am unable to take him with me. I would love to find him a warm home where he will be as loved as he is here! He has never had interactions with other cats, but has interacted with dogs and that seems to go fine. He mostly just looooves cuddling, and will just come lay on you from the second you sit down anywhere. At the same time, he's still pretty young, so he also does love to play around. He's got all his injections and shots taken care of and is otherwise a very healthy cat! Please contact me if you have more questions about Nelly or if you would consider taking over his care. <3

Story
We adopted enza when she was 8 weeks old, she is good with dogs and kids. She’s a cuddler and just wants to be loved. We are in the process of adopting a child and she is allergic to cats so that is the only reason we need to rehome her. Enza is 10 years old and is still full of energy, still catches house flies with her paws. Enza will come with a litter robot, food and a cat carrier and cat tree.
