Shae is a sweet young lass. She's a big more tentative around new things than her brother, Simon, but warms up quickly. She likes to sit on your lap.  Shae would like to be your new BFF She needs to learn puppy manners. Shae comes to us from a shelter in rural southwestern Virginia. Shae and her brother, Simon, as well as their father, were seized from their owner for neglect (starvation). An anonymous donor has become Shae's Guardian Angel, in memory of her wonderful Bosnian street dog, Chloe. Gender:  Female DOB: Approx. 12/1/2023 Current size; 21 pounds PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Meet Ginger Rogers, a girl who’s got the moves, the grooves, and the wiggles to match! This friendly, energetic pup may start off a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t blink—once she warms up, she’s all tail wags and happy hops, nosing in for pets. Ginger loves her walks and struts her stuff nicely on leash. New places can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but once she’s comfortable, she’s all about exploring. She seems to show a friendly interest in other dogs, greeting them with loose tail wags, playful hops, and the occasional excited yip. In true puppy fashion, Ginger has some gentle mouthiness when play mode kicks in, but she balances that energy with sweetness and charm. She adores treats (and takes them oh so gently) and loves affection. Currently rehearsing her basic commands, Ginger is a sweet, social girl who just needs a little time to warm up before she steals the show. If you’re looking for a pup with heart, hops, and plenty of personality, Ginger Rogers is ready to dance her way right into your life!
