Story
Unfortunately, we have to rehome our baby boy, and it breaks our hearts. He’s a loving, sweet dog, but due to circumstances with our move, we can’t take him with us. We’re hoping to find someone who can give him the happy, stable home he deserves. He’s been around kids and absolutely adores them. He loves to cuddle. He needs to be an only pet, as he’s reactive to both cats and dogs. He is best suited as the only animal in the home. He listens well to commands and is a quick learner. He’s crate trained and highly food motivated. We will provide all his supplies and we’re happy to share anything else you want to know.

These pups are in Arlington, Virginia too!

To learn more about Trip, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. With the help of a compassionate donor, this Pet Pal is one step closer to a forever home! Say hello to Trip, a happy-go-lucky 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who’s ready to trip right into your heart. With his gorgeous blonde coat sprinkled with cute ticking, he’s as striking as he is sweet. This friendly pup has loved all people, including kids, and soaks up attention from anyone who will give it to him. He generally walks well on leash, with the occasional investigative sniff work when something interests him. He takes treats gently, knows “sit,” and loves to play fetch—he can even catch a ball mid-air like a little furry outfielder! He’ll chase anything you toss, bring it back proudly, and also happily entertain himself with toys he picks out on his own. Trip has energy to spare, a big zest for life, and a heart full of happy. He sleeps like a champ through the night and is doing well with his potty training. Since he is both food- and toy-motivated, this will make him a great candidate for training as he grows. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, people-loving, toy-loving whirlwind of joy, Trip is ready to take you on the adventure of a lifetime. Bring him home and let the fun begin!

This stunning gal is ready and waiting for you. As they say, good things come in small packages, and Willow is no exception. Willow is a snugglebug at heart, loving nothing more than to cuddle all day. She will make a great work-from-home buddy. She has responded well to her name and has loved salmon treats! Be sure to pick those up, and she will take to you quickly! On leash, Willow is a pleasure. She has been respectful, keeping a good pace, checking in often, and well-behaved. Her good behavior extends to car rides, too. Willow has been a doll in the car, sleeping most of the time, and being a comfortable passenger. In her time with us, Willow has been very quiet and has been getting used to a crate overnight. Overall, Willow is a lovebug who deserves all your love.
