❤️Meet Sweet And Gentle Lisa— Once a Chained-Dog, Now Ready For Her Happy Beginnings! Here are more photos and videos of Lisa: https://www.instagram.com/p/Dc4xrlvBJzZ/?hl=en Look at her expressive ears!🥰 Lisa is an absolute sweetheart!💖 Lisa was rescued from a life as an outside chained-dog at a fish farm in Sinan, South Korea. Even as a puppy, she was left alone on a chain in an isolated area.💔 At first, Lisa was very afraid of people. However, she is learning how to live comfortably with people with her foster family. She has adapted much faster than expected. She is now comfortable around her foster family and even cautiously approaches unfamiliar people to sniff and get to know them. She also learned to respond to her name, Lisa, and come when called in only one day! She is doing very well and continues to gain confidence every day.☺️ Name: Lisa Estimated Age: 7 months Gender: F Weight: 18.7 lb Spayed: Yes Lisa is a very sweet and calm dog who enjoys going for walks, exploring, and trips with her family: parks, swimming, and adventures. She’s is generally mellow at home and likes to quietly explore her surroundings. When she meets a dog she likes, she enjoys playing with them. She can get very playful and energetic with the right dog friend.😊 Good with Dogs? Gets along very well with other dogs. She has never shown aggression or barking toward other dogs and calmly greets unfamiliar dogs. When she likes another dog, she will actively invite them to play. Good with Kids? Older, calm children. She can become frightened if a child suddenly runs toward her or tries to pick her up before she feels comfortable. Sociability with People: Lisa bonded with her foster family within just one day and is very responsive to people. She is a people oriented dog who enjoys following and interacting with her person. Once she feels safe and familiar with someone, she becomes very affectionate. She will roll over for belly rubs and give kisses. She is nervous around strangers at first, but she warms up quickly. When first meeting Women:Generally more comfortable approaching women and follows them. If given time to sniff first and decide that someone is safe, she accepts gentle petting. Men: Slightly shy at first, but adjusts quickly. Lisa is most attached to her foster mom and follows her closely. She especially loves giving kisses and enjoys being held and snuggled once she is comfortable with someone. Potty Trained? Yes. Outdoor potty trained. Good on Leash? Yes. Lisa currently gets 3-4 walks a day. She potties easily during walks. When she finds a suitable spot, she tends to put her nose to the ground and sniff carefully before going. Barker? No. Lisa is generally a quiet dog. Separation Anxiety? No. Mouthiness / Nipping? If an unfamiliar person tries to touch her too quickly, Lisa may briefly react defensively by making a quick air snap with her mouth. However, when someone approaches her slowly and gives her time to sniff first, she accepts gentle touch and does not resist. She loves tasty treats, which can help her feel more comfortable with new people. Lisa is afraid of bicycles and electric scooters when they pass by quickly. However, once she realizes they are not going to hurt her, she calms down. *Please note: Lisa experiences motion sickness during car rides. She should not be fed before traveling as she may vomit repeatedly in the car. When traveling on an empty stomach, she generally only drools rather than vomiting. *She's getting better at it lately as there have been times when she doesn't get car sick. Health Notes: No known health issues. Lisa is generally only shy during her first day in a new environment and becomes comfortable with people very quickly. Once she knows someone, she loves being held and cuddled. With anyone new, it is best to wait until she becomes comfortable before picking her up. At first, she prefers gentle petting on her head or having her chest gently scratched. Lisa is not particularly interested in toys. She especially likes things such as tissues that she can easily tear with her mouth, so these should be kept out of reach. 🏡💖Ideal Family and Home: Lisa would be a good match for a family that enjoys walks, going to parks, and outdoor adventures with their dog. A family that also enjoys quiet times at home as she is calm and well behaved indoors. Lisa enjoys going to parks, swimming, and exploring nature. Lisa is very sweet, gentle, affectionate, and generally easygoing. From Lisa’s foster: Even after spending just one day with Lisa, it becomes clear that she is a dog who quickly becomes attached to the person who feeds her, walks her, and takes care of her. She is incredibly affectionate toward her person and loves giving kisses. She has lots of affection to give and often looks deeply into her person’s eyes. She bonds very well, building a strong connection and communication. Lisa is an easygoing dog without any significant behavioral problems. She is affectionate, loves following her person around, and seems remarkably good at reading and responding to her person’s emotions. Lisa's adoption fee is $750, plus $245 US customs entry and broker fee. For adoption inquiries please email us or fill out the adoption application via the link in our Instagram bio.🌼

Story
Meet Aiden, rescued from Korea and a young Jindo pup.  Aiden is a good boy but he is worried at first about meeting new people. He did not have a great start in life and as a result he can be unsure of himself. He is in a wonderful foster home where he is patiently guided to become a little more confident. Aiden will do best with other dogs who are social and confident so that he can learn from their example. He is not suitable for a home with kids or cats.   Aiden is young and has a full life ahead of him. We hope to find him a dedicated person who is willing to continue working with him so that he can live his best life.  Aiden is vaccinated, chipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Pearl — A Sweet & Social Jindo Mix Looking for Her Forever Family!   Name: Pearl Age: 9 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 21 kg Height: 56 cm (shoulder height)   Personality with People   Pearl is a very affectionate and friendly girl who happily approaches both familiar people and strangers. She loves leaning in for pets and allows handling easily. With people she knows well, she’s a total sweetheart — she may jump up to give kisses and show her playful affection. She does well with children under 13 and is comfortable being gently lifted with an arm under her belly. Once she trusts you, she’ll even show her belly   Socialization with Other Dogs   Pearl enjoys greeting and playing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. She does have a timid side — if several dogs (even small ones) rush toward her at once, she may retreat. She can be a little socially unaware at times and may try to initiate play even if the other dog is unsure. With very high-energy dogs, she will clearly communicate when she’s uncomfortable.   Cats   Pearl has not yet been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Pearl has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once her exercise is done, she settles nicely and relaxes indoors.   ‍ Walking & Leash Skills   She does pull on the leash at times but generally follows her handler well. Pearl loves sniffing and exploring, so walks often involve stopping and starting as she takes in all the scents around her   Other Behaviors & Habits   • No food guarding toward people or dogs, though she is food-motivated and may rush to eat first • Rarely barks — if uncomfortable, she may whine softly instead • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Gets in and out of the car on her own • Fully accustomed to outdoor potty routines   Rescue Story   Pearl was rescued with her mother and littermates after her mom entered the Ganghwa Shelter in Incheon and gave birth there. Thanks to rescue support, Pearl has grown up safe and loved — and is now ready for her forever home. Currently in Korea — available for adoption to Canada/US Apply to adopt or foster Pearl: https://adoptmekr.org Please visit our Facebook or Instagram. Pearl is a loving, joyful young dog who will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to grow with her ##2609383##
