Story
Blinkin is a beautiful Sarplaninac (Illyrian Shepherd) - a very rare, ancient guardian breed - marched with Alexander & descended from Tibetan Mastiffs - of which she has several rescue pack mates. Blinkin came to us as a neglect/abuse case on 09/25. Blinkin was starved and covered in wounds. Blinkin is older and likely has some nerve damage in her rear legs. Blinkin was recently spayed after she gained some healthy weight. Blinkin is sweet, intelligent, and gets along with everyone. The entire pack loves and protects Blink. She sleeps by our bed and lounges in the kitchen. Blink is available for adoption - but it would have to be a stellar forever home. See Roscoe's listing - he is a Tibetan - bigger, prettier, much younger, and keeps getting beat up (educated) by the older dogs (including Blinkin) who have low tolerance for 130 lbs puppy antics. Story
Roscoe is a young Tibetan Mastiff. Roscoe was pulled from an LA Kill Shelter on 11/25. He had kennel cough. Needed some love. Roscoe was recently neutered. Roscoe is a sweet 130 lbs puppy. He is very sensitive, with a good heart. Roscoe is well-tolerated by my other rescues but he is not yet part of the pack. The older dogs can get annoyed with Roscoe's puppy-ish antics - they are kicking his butt - but he is learning. Boy is trying. Roscoe requires a fenced yard. He needs someone who is either with him during the day or a companion dog. Roscoe is available to a loving forever home with people who view dogs as a lifetime commitment. If you've ever dumped a dog - for any reason - or have any substance issues - no. If you think crating a dog all day is OK - no. We always take dogs back if issues arise. Given recent experiences with that policy, we'll request a refundable deposit of $350. That is one vet trip. Roscoe is happy to meet - but only if you mean it.
