Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Chevy has officially settled into her foster home, and now this one-of-a-kind Great Dane is ready to find her forever family! She’s five years old, merle-colored, and packed with more personality than her giant paws can hold. Let’s get one thing straight—Chevy is a total sweetheart . She’s affectionate, playful, and talkative (with the cutest little grumbles). If you’re looking for a Velcro dog who leans in hard for love, insists on couch snuggles, and lives for grass zoomies, this girl might just be your soul-dog. But—real talk—Chevy is also a work in progress. Personality Snapshot Chevy is: A snuggly couch potato A toy-destroying queen A leaner and lap dog (yes, all 100+ pounds of her) A full-on clown when she’s in a playful mood &#239&#184&#143 Talkative, mouthy, and all about the kisses Obsessed with grass rolls (seriously, it’s her zen zone) Extremely fearful of strangers, new sounds, sudden movements… and apparently grills. Once she trusts you, though? She’s all in. Expect face nibbles, dramatic flops, and lots of paw swats for attention. She’s got more enthusiasm for life than most people at a theme park. Training & Habits Chevy knows several commands including: &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Sit &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Down &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Stay &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Come &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Off Plus, she responds to hand signals like a champ. She’s crate trained, house-trained (mostly—occasional accidents happen), and totally food motivated. She waits patiently at mealtime, even if you’re cruel and make her sit for 10 whole minutes. (You monster. LOL) Chevy walks okay on a nose-loop leash but does pull if she sees something “suspicious” (read: a stroller, a trash bin, or the aforementioned grill). She’s currently working on desensitization and doing her best! And yes—she counter surfs and has been known to shred a blanket or two when anxious. But hey, no one’s perfect. Fears & Challenges Chevy is working through her fears and needs someone committed to training and confidence building. She reacts to: ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Strangers (especially men) Kids (less scary than men, but still suspicious) Dogs (aggressive barking from afar) Loud or sudden noises Fireworks, vacuums, and other chaos She barks, growls, and can act out, out of fear. Her tail is often tucked, and her body language screams “please don’t hurt me” more than “go away.” With slow intros and positive reinforcement, she’s made steps forward—but she’ll need a family who truly gets it. What Chevy Needs Chevy isn’t a plug-and-play pup. She’s looking for: A calm, structured home Patient, experienced dog people Dog Savvy Adults or teens only (no young kids) A fenced yard for zoomies and grass therapy A routine—seriously, she thrives on schedule People who will laugh when she sits like a cat She’s not currently dog or cat-tested in close quarters, but based on her reactivity, she’ll do best as the only pet in the home. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Why She’s Worth It Chevy might never be the dog you take to a busy café or the farmers market. But she will be the dog who makes you laugh every single day. Who cuddles hard. Who teaches you patience, trust, and the magic of tiny victories. She is goofy. She is loving. She is flawed. And she is so ready for a home that sees her heart and wants to help it heal. More about Chevy: House-trained: Yes – still has occasional accidents.  Crate trained: Yes Needs a calm home – dog savvy adults and teens only No dogs – has shown reactivity from a distance No cats – high prey drive Will counter surf and steal food – needs supervision  Basic Obedience Training complete – knows sit, stay, come, down, off Fearful and anxious around new people – needs slow introductions Pulls when excited on leash – needs additional training May 12, 2025, 9:41 am

Story
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at https://rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications link can be found on the home page. Meet Odie, the king of comfort — a gentle giant who has perfected the art of couch surfing (and we’re not talking the travel kind &#239&#184&#143). At 7 years young, he’s still got plenty of pep in his paws but prefers a life of leisure, snuggles, and parading his beloved stuffed toys around like prized treasures. Odie is goofy, affectionate, and loyal to his humans. He enjoys car rides , easygoing walks , and quiet afternoons just hanging out. He’s polite with visitors, calm in new situations, and happiest when he’s near his people &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143. He’s also a great communicator — you’ll get a gentle nudge when it’s time for dinner &#239&#184&#143, and if you’re slow to sit down for cuddles, he might follow you from room to room until you get the hint. While he’s a pretty chill guy, Odie does have some quirks—he’s a bit of a counter-surfer (bread is his weakness) and may have a touch of separation anxiety when left too long. He’s housetrained, trustworthy with free roam, and walks nicely on a harness—just be ready to redirect him if a fence-line dog starts talking smack . Odie’s lived happily with another Great Dane, greets strangers with grace, and doesn’t seem bothered by squirrels &#239&#184&#143 or cats from a distance. He’s not a high-energy dog but still enjoys short bursts of play and the occasional zoomie session that reminds you he’s still just a big puppy at heart . Odie’s wish list for his forever home: &#226&#156&#168 Calm, easygoing household (older kids or adults preferred)&#226&#156&#168 Humans home often enough to keep him company&#226&#156&#168 A fenced yard for sniffing, sunbathing, and toy parades&#226&#156&#168 Possibly a chill doggie roommate&#226&#156&#168 Plenty of soft spots for napping and stuffed animals for collecting Health-wise, he has mild arthritis and one adorably unique oval-shaped pupil (he was born that way—it doesn’t affect his vision ). If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will fill your couch, your camera roll , and your heart —Odie is ready to meet you. More about Odie:  House trained: Yes Allowed free roam but will counter surf if something appealing is available (Bread!) Good with kids: Yes, respectful, older children Good with dogs: Yes – has previously lived with another Dane Good with cats: Unknown – but was okay at a distance Calm and well mannered Walks well on a leash Mild energy but still likes to play August 25, 2025, 7:03 pm

Story
Meet Loki At 135 pounds of pure love and personality, Loki is a 4-year-old Great Dane looking for his forever home! He’s a big sweetheart who’s powered by snuggles and thrives when he can be close to his people—so he’s hoping to find a human who works from home and doesn’t mind a constant cuddle buddy. Despite his size, Loki still gets the zoomies and loves to romp around when the mood strikes! He’s crate and potty trained, though he’ll let you know (loudly!) if he’s put in a crate without a comfy bed—this guy loves his cozy spots. Loki can be a little cautious when meeting new people and may growl at first, but once he warms up, he’s full of affection—offering endless kisses, hugs, and heart-melting loyalty. He would do well in a home with or without another dog. Because of his size and sensitive nature, a home with Great Dane experience is highly recommended. Loki also has a high prey drive, so consistent leash training is a must to help him stay focused and safe on walks. If you’re looking for a big-hearted companion who will fill your home with love, laughter, and the occasional zoomie, Loki might just be your perfect match. ##2565971##
