Updated 11-17-2025 Meet Chevy, a stunning merle Great Dane with a soft heart, a goofy spirit, and a journey that’s taken a lot of courage. At 5 years old, Chevy has made incredible progress in professional training, and she’s ready to find a patient, experienced family who can continue helping her grow. Personality Chevy is a shy girl at first, especially with new people and new experiences. She startles easily and can be fearful, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines. With her trusted humans, she transforms into a big, affectionate snugglebug who loves belly rubs, couch cuddles, and lounging on her back like a silly, happy seal. She’s a Velcro dog, a world-class leaner, and will happily wiggle right into your lap if you let her. She’s playful too—zoomies, rolling in the grass, and ripping squeakers out of toys are among her favorite hobbies. Training & Progress Chevy is house trained, crate trained, and knows all her basics: sit, down, come, stay, and off. She’s very treat-motivated and responds beautifully in controlled training environments. Her biggest challenge is her fear of people and dogs. Outdoors, she may bark, snap, or lunge when scared—and strangers, sudden noises, or unfamiliar dogs can be overwhelming. But with a professional trainer, she has been calm, neutral, and noticeably improving. Her foster family reports consistent progress, especially with careful, structured introductions. Chevy will absolutely thrive with a family committed to continuing her positive-reinforcement training, managing her environment, and helping her confidence grow at her pace. Ideal Home Chevy’s perfect family will offer: A quiet, predictable home with minimal surprises A fenced yard or outdoor space for zoomies and grass-rolling No other dogs or pets   Adults only, or possibly older dog-savvy teens Experience with fearful or reactive dogs (or willingness to learn) Compassion, structure, patience, and consistency She bonds deeply with her people and can be anxious when separated, but she’s getting much better about calmly settling in her kennel when home alone. Other Good Stuff LOVES car rides and will hop right into the back seat without hesitation Non-destructive in the home (other than defeating her kennel bedding!) Sleeps in the bed and loves snuggling Very gentle with food—she’ll wait for permission before eating Healthy overall, with one tooth (a fang) that will need removal &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Why You’ll Love Her Chevy is an incredibly loving, sensitive girl who just needs someone that believes in her. She may take weeks to fully settle in, but once she does, she gives her whole heart. Her goofy zoomies, her wiggly cuddle demands, her brave steps forward in training—these moments will make you fall in love with her over and over. If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are ready to help a sweet, fearful Dane blossom into her best self, Chevy may be the dog you’ve been waiting for. More about Chevy: Great Dane Experience Required Housetrained:Yes  Crate trained: Yes Needs a calm home – dog savvy adults and teens only No dogs – has shown reactivity from a distance No cats – high prey drive Professional training in process Fearful and anxious around new people – needs slow introductions Are you interested in adopting or fostering-to-adopt Chevy, reach out to Candice at placements@rmgreatdane.org.December 30, 2025, 1:01 pm

Story
Hello world! My name is Loki, and I’m so glad you clicked on my profile. I’m a 130-pound Great Dane with an even bigger heart, and I can’t wait to find my forever home!A few things you should know about me: I can be a little nervous when meeting new people. My first meet-and-greet may involve some cautious sniffs while I get comfortable. I’m currently working with my foster parents and a trainer to build my confidence and learn better ways to communicate when I’m unsure. Like many sensitive dogs, I’ve occasionally used quick warning snaps when I feel overwhelmed or confused. Because of this, I need a home that understands canine body language, respects my boundaries, and is committed to continuing my training so I feel safe and supported. I have a high prey drive when wearing a flat collar (those squirrels really test me!), but when I’m on a prong collar, I’m a total gentleman and can calmly pass squirrels and bunnies.Once I know you, I am the sweetest, cuddliest, and most loyal companion you could ask for. I love hugs, kisses, and being close to my people—expect lots of affection! Ultimately, I’m looking for a patient, dog-savvy adopter—ideally with large-breed experience—who understands what they’re signing up for and is excited to work with me so I can be the best pup I can be. In return, I’ll give you unwavering loyalty, love, and a whole lot of Dane-sized snuggles.  ##2565971##

Story
Meet Sabrina, a gentle 6-year-old Mastiff mix who’s in need of a special forever home. Sabrina is living with mast cell tumors (MCT) due to cancer and is currently on medication to keep her as comfortable as possible. She requires a loving home that is prepared to offer her hospice care and a peaceful environment. Sabrina can be shy with new people and may give a warning growl or snap if approached when she’s not ready. However, once she builds trust, she becomes deeply affectionate and very attached to her people. She gets along well with mellow dogs and will thrive in a calm household where she can feel safe and loved. If you have a compassionate heart and are ready to provide a supportive and caring home for a special dog like Sabrina, you’ll find a loyal and loving companion in her.
