Story
Location: Seattle, WA (adopter needed within 2-3 hours of Seattle) Date of Birth: 5/26/2020 5-year-old Great Dane, Professional Snuggler, Curious Queen Harlow is a big-hearted, bigger-bodied Great Dane with a goofy grin, and sharp mind. She’s friendly, loving, and insanely smart—the kind of dog who learns quickly, redirects easily, and always seems one step ahead (sometimes literally, if there’s a door involved). She knows her basic commands, walks nicely on leash with the right harness, and is fully potty trained. Crates aren’t her vibe, but she’s perfectly happy using pens or gates—and even happier being trusted to roam the house like the respectful adult she is. As long as food is put away, Harlow can be safely left out and has shown no destructive behaviors. A little backstory: Harlow spent much of her life traveling in a van, so the concept of multiple rooms and mysterious hidden treasures is understandably fascinating. She’s a curious, savvy gal who can open doors, drawers, and gates if something catches her interest—but really, who could blame her? Harlow does great with other dogs and has lived peacefully with cats, whom she mostly ignores. She does best with company (two-legged or four-legged) and would love a home where someone is around most of the time or where she has a buddy to keep her company. She’s a champion snuggler, happy to curl up on the couch or bed if invited, and she’s equally content posting up in the office as your calm, polite, and very considerate co-worker. If you’re looking for a loving, intelligent, slightly nosy roommate with excellent cuddling skills and a heart of gold, Harlow is ready to be your loyal companion—and she promises to be very good, as long as you don’t mind her doing a little exploring now and then. Story
Location: Seattle, WA (adopter must be within 2–3 hours) DOB: 2/26/2021 People love to comment on how big Great Danes are—but Ranger isn’t just big, he’s a GREAT DANE. Weighing in at an impressive 185 lbs and standing 38” at the shoulders, he’s a gentle giant through and through. The bigger the dog, the bigger the love, and Ranger is all about kisses, cuddles, and that classic Dane lean. Despite his size, he truly believes he’s a lap dog and will very gently perch himself right beside (or on) you. Ranger is generally calm and easygoing, with occasional playful moments. He loves his people and thrives on companionship. He enjoys regular walks, though he can get overly excited when he sees other dogs or squirrels—continued leash training and guidance with dog interactions will be important, as he’s a lot of dog when excitement kicks in. He has lived as an only dog but has done well with visiting dogs in his home. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs would be required. Cats are unknown. Because Ranger loves being near his humans, he would do best in a home where someone works from home or has a hybrid schedule. Stairs are challenging for him, so a home with minimal stairs is strongly preferred. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, larger-than-life companion who will happily lean into your heart (and your space), Ranger may be your perfect match. Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
