Story
PIPER (Grass Valley, CA) Piper is a funny, endearing 15-pound, 8 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. She thoroughly enjoys belly rubs, strolls, playful pursuits, catching toys, and sun-bathing in the yard. Piper has been socialized by our outstanding foster, Noel, and gets along with small dogs. However, Piper favors an exclusive companionship with a special someone. If her special someone has other dogs, Piper will confidently assume an alpha role. She has subtle possessiveness that emerges when it comes to sharing attention from her foster. Piper is wonderful on both car rides and leashed walks. She barks infrequently, but can still be a reliable guard dog. Her foster wholeheartedly endorses Piper's remarkable cuddling abilities. Piper readily recognizes her name and demonstrates excellent recall. She is a flexible eater and proficiently uses doggie doors and/or pee pads. Does Piper sound like the one for you? We’d love to hear what you think in the comments below (and your comments help Piper be seen). Story
Rescued by a kind family who took in her mother pregnant. She is a quiet delicate dog, gentle and affectionate. Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Binnie🤍 💙 Binnie’s Update Account: @imbo_family_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space at the Adogs center. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Now, knows how to act charm not only to his foster family but also to visitors who come to the house. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them first to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs on walks. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but has improved a lot after meeting more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Does very well when left alone at home and rests! When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks at or sniffs them. When with his foster parent’s mother and another stranger, he growls and is wary of the stranger if they approach the mother. Gets trained and corrected when his foster parent is with him. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Doesn’t get surprised by motorcycles or the sounds of cars. Looks around and is relaxed on walks. * Car Sickness: Rests well in a car without motion sickness. * Biting: Barks and may show defensive biting when strangers who visit the home or strangers on walks suddenly reach out their hands to him. Doesn’t like his territory being intruded upon and sometimes nips in such situations. Is getting constant training to fix it. * Barking: If a person runs in Binnie’s direction from afar, he sometimes barks defensively. * Likes: Likes playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Dislikes: Is sensitive around his belly, so it is recommended to pet the area softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, is still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Tricks: Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

Story
My name is Joanie My Brother and I were found in the high desert wandering in search of food and nearly starving to death, and I was pregnant-By my brother :( The lady that trapped us and took us to her home and fed us and worked with us to help us build trust, but then she got sick. So we came to this amazing rescue just before Xmas, rescue mom said I looked like a skelton with a softball in my belly...we were only babies ourselves, but I became a MOM and I had my babies here, with my rescue moms help and brother/father by my side supervising and cheering me on without running for his life, checking each baby out to make sure they were ok!, that was a long time ago. I lost one baby and my other 2 daughter look just like us and are also bonded, Sierra is a special needs, mom says she is 'Pawtistic', She is a little overweight but she's a hoot! my third daughter Savannah is wonderful and watches out for her Sister Sierra. My Brother and I still have alot of trust issues, we trust our rescue mom, its taken her alot of work and time, we have been to adoption events and people just love us, but we are skittish are new people, we do love everyone, but rescue mom says its likely we are multi-generational inbred dogs, which accounts for our special needs status. We are Runners, But she feels with the right Mom/Dad, with consistency, patience and kindness, and dog treats of course we would learn to love and trust a new family too. Babies, School Age children and other dogs would be additional challenge. we love our dogs buddies here, we've all been together for a long time now. We enter the crate on demand when the rescue is unattended. We are smart and obey mom. We are not aggressive at all, and love to be loved - if you can catch us. We are scared that someone will hurt us or take us to a bad place again. Rescue mom call us timid now, but she used to call us feral...!! So that is improvement. They are nice here and we take treats from their hands and feel blessed to have been saved from us and our precious babies dying in the desert... we love to play with our rescue pack mates, we like to and hunt and chase lizards. We love our good food and our morning treats (very motivating) we do like car rides (with precautionary measures for escape). We are pee pad trained, doggie door trained and live a kennel free life here, coexisting with others and all of us are 'free fed' we graze and eat when we want to. I think that someone blessed with a gift of love and patience, that is somewhat a home body would be the perfect home for me, or me and my brother, to learn to be completely fear free and understand that I will ever go anywhere but to the couch to cuddle. I hope there is someome out there for me/us.... rescue mom needs to find us a home, she is not well. Please remember to save a life, Adopt/Rescue, so many of us are dying in shelters, we and our rescue moms cant do it alone.... Thank you for taking time to read my story, With Love Joanie
