The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Now, he knows how to be affectionate not only with his foster family but also with visitors who come to the house. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them first to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs on walks. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but has improved a lot after meeting more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Does very well when left alone at home and rests! When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks at or sniffs them. He’s being trained and corrected when his foster parent is with him. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Doesn’t get surprised by motorcycles or the sounds of cars. He looks around and is relaxed on walks. * Biting: Barks and may show defensive biting when strangers who visit the home or strangers on walks suddenly reach out their hands to him. Doesn’t like his territory being intruded upon and sometimes nips in such situations. Is getting constant training to fix it. * Barking: If another person runs in Binnie’s direction from afar, he sometimes barks defensively. * Likes: Likes playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Dislikes: Is sensitive around his belly, so it is recommended to pet the area softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he’s still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Tricks: Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

I rescued Wednesday from the San Bernardino shelter in October, and she has blossomed into the sweetest little shadow. She is a 9lb, 3-5 year old cuddle bug who believes blankets are life and loves playing fetch with her stuffed She is a pocket-sized companion who knows basic tricks, walks beautifully on a leash, and absolutely lives for attention. If you want a dog who looks at you like you're the sun, this is her. Wednesday has a very high prey drive when it comes to cats. She fixates on my resident cat constantly, and despite our best efforts, she simply cannot share a home with felines. She needs a home where she doesn't have to worry about hunting the kitty. Her ideal match: - Strictly a feline-free zone. - She hasn't been around kids, but a calm home would likely suit her best. - She is about 90% potty-trained to go in the backyard. - Spayed, chipped, and all shots up to date.
