Story
Rescued by a kind family who took in her mother pregnant. She is a quiet delicate dog, gentle and affectionate. Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/

Story
PIPER (Grass Valley, CA) Piper is a funny, endearing 15-pound, 8 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. She thoroughly enjoys belly rubs, strolls, playful pursuits, catching toys, and sun-bathing in the yard. Piper has been socialized by our outstanding foster, Noel, and gets along with small dogs. However, Piper favors an exclusive companionship with a special someone. If her special someone has other dogs, Piper will confidently assume an alpha role. She has subtle possessiveness that emerges when it comes to sharing attention from her foster. Piper is wonderful on both car rides and leashed walks. She barks infrequently, but can still be a reliable guard dog. Her foster wholeheartedly endorses Piper's remarkable cuddling abilities. Piper readily recognizes her name and demonstrates excellent recall. She is a flexible eater and proficiently uses doggie doors and/or pee pads. Does Piper sound like the one for you? We’d love to hear what you think in the comments below (and your comments help Piper be seen). ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 Meet Binnie🤍 💙 Binnie’s Update Account: @imbo_family_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space at the Adogs center. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Now, he knows how to be affectionate not only with his foster family but also with visitors who come to the house. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them first to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs on walks. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but has improved a lot after meeting more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Does very well when left alone at home and rests! When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks at or sniffs them. When with his foster parent’s mother and another stranger, he growls and is wary of the stranger if they approach the mother. He’s being trained and corrected when his foster parent is with him. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Doesn’t get surprised by motorcycles or the sounds of cars. He looks around and is relaxed on walks. * Biting: Barks and may show defensive biting when strangers who visit the home or strangers on walks suddenly reach out their hands to him. Doesn’t like his territory being intruded upon and sometimes nips in such situations. Is getting constant training to fix it. * Barking: If another person runs in Binnie’s direction from afar, he sometimes barks defensively. * Likes: Likes playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Dislikes: Is sensitive around his belly, so it is recommended to pet the area softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he’s still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Tricks: Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

Story
Meet Honey — sweet, just like her name. When Honey was found, she was struggling to move, dragging herself along the ground. It appeared she had been the victim of a hit-and-run. After a thorough exam by our vet, we learned that her injuries weren’t recent — she’s been living with this old trauma for quite some time. Despite it all, Honey’s strength and resilience have carried her through. She survived on the streets in her condition, proving just how strong her spirit is. Now safe in our care, Honey is regaining her strength and mobility a little more each day. With continued love and proper care, she’s well on her way to a full recovery. Honey is gentle, quiet, and incredibly loving. She enjoys soaking up the sunshine, but her favorite place to be is cuddled up right by your side. Now, Honey is ready to leave her past behind and find the forever home she truly deserves.
