Story
Rescued by a kind family who took in her mother pregnant. She is a quiet delicate dog, gentle and affectionate. Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/

Story
PIPER (Grass Valley, CA) Piper is a funny, endearing 15-pound, 8 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. She thoroughly enjoys belly rubs, strolls, playful pursuits, catching toys, and sun-bathing in the yard. Piper has been socialized by our outstanding foster, Noel, and gets along with small dogs. However, Piper favors an exclusive companionship with a special someone. If her special someone has other dogs, Piper will confidently assume an alpha role. She has subtle possessiveness that emerges when it comes to sharing attention from her foster. Piper is wonderful on both car rides and leashed walks. She barks infrequently, but can still be a reliable guard dog. Her foster wholeheartedly endorses Piper's remarkable cuddling abilities. Piper readily recognizes her name and demonstrates excellent recall. She is a flexible eater and proficiently uses doggie doors and/or pee pads. Does Piper sound like the one for you? We’d love to hear what you think in the comments below (and your comments help Piper be seen). Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LA💟 Meet Binnie🤍 💙 Binnie’s Update Account: @imbo_family_ 1.) Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. 2.) Rescue Story * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space at the Adogs center. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Now, he knows how to be affectionate not only with his foster family but also with visitors who come to the house. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but is improving as he meets more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Mostly rests napping or sometimes plays with balls when alone. Recently, stayed for three days at a boarding facility, where he was anxious and had trouble adjusting for the first six hours. After that, he settled in well. When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks or sniffs them. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Doesn't get startled by the sound of motorcycles or cars and strolls along calmly while checking his surroundings. * Car Sickness: No motion sickness; relaxes well during car rides. * Barks and may show defensive nibbling when strangers visit home or suddenly reach out their hands to him during walks. Dislikes to be intuded in his territory and sometimes nips in such situation. Is getting constant training to fix it. * May bark defensively if someone suddenly runs toward him during walks. * Likes playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Does not like to be touched on belly, so it is recommended to approach carefully and to touch it as if petting softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he’s still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

Story
Sweet Zucchini  has come a very long ways since his shelter days when he found him self to be euthanized because he was scared. Despite his fear we knew we could turn this cutie pie around and get him to trust but also crave interaction with people. Zucchini is aprox 9 lbs 3-5 years neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Zucchini in new environments may need a little warm up time, but the cutest thing he does, is tilt his head down like a parrot for head and ear scratches. He has learned to walk on a leash and now has discovered how much fun going to the park and exploring is. Zucchini best play buddy is Snap who also almost lost her life at the shelter for being scared! These two would do great as a pair and play so very well together too. For more information on Zucchini please contact his foster mom at 949-842-2517 To Apply for adoption go to: www.greendogfoundation.comOctober 5, 2025, 4:08 pm

Story
Tessie was a great mother protecting her puppies at the shelter when we brought her home. She gets along with all her foster dogs big and small. She is a young one and a half year old  chi mix  who weighs approximately 9 pounds. She loves to be held and loves tummy rubs. She is  doggy door trained and knows how to use a ramp to climb onto the bed or couch to snuggle with you . Tessie would love a family of her own . She has had a hard life being pregnant at the shelter and having her puppies there. She is such a good girl and so grateful for having a home to raise her puppies in. Tessie would love to be kissed, hugged and snuggle or take a walk around the neighborhood with you and your family.
