She is small, fast, loud when excited, and powered by what can only be described as unlimited puppy batteries. Cricket is a 9 to 10 week old Toy Fox Terrier Chihuahua mix who weighs just 4 pounds and came to us from the shelter. Four pounds. That is it. She is tiny, portable, and deceptively athletic. Blink and she is gone. Look down and she is suddenly at your feet. Look up and she is somehow on furniture she absolutely should not be able to reach. Cricket may be pocket sized, but she operates like she is training for the Puppy Olympics. Now for the good stuff, which is basically everything. Cricket is joyful chaos in the best possible way. She wakes up ready to seize the day and does not let up until bedtime around 9:30 p.m. She is confident, fearless, hilarious, and wildly affectionate. She is a Velcro puppy who will follow you everywhere, unless she is busy playing, chewing, plotting her next great adventure, or sneaking off for a power nap. She loves people, loves dogs, loves toys, and loves life like every day is the greatest thing that has ever happened. Cricket’s daily routine starts around 7:00 a.m. when she wakes up ready to party. She eats breakfast, lunch around noon, and dinner around 7:00 p.m. Cricket has strong opinions about food presentation. She does not eat kibble from a bowl, but will happily eat it if it is placed on the floor. We are slowly transitioning her to wet canned food mixed with boiled chicken and rice, and she is adjusting well with the goal of switching fully to canned food. Between meals, her day consists of playing hard, wrestling with dogs, chewing toys, hiding chews in secret locations, napping when she feels like it, and then immediately waking up ready to go again. Cricket lives with two older dogs, Jackie and Jasper. Jackie has fully embraced her role as Cricket’s mentor and wrestling partner. They tumble, play rough, and wrestle like professionals, and Cricket keeps up with complete confidence. Watching them together is endlessly entertaining. Cricket wants to play with every dog she meets. If a dog does not respond, she gives it a few tries and then politely moves on, as seen with Jasper. She is playful without being pushy and confident without being obnoxious, which is honestly impressive for someone this young. Cricket has not gone on formal walks yet, but she does bark playfully at one of the older dogs when trying to initiate play. If there is no response, she walks away and finds something else to do. She is doing very well with pee pads and reliably finds one when she needs to go. She potties as soon as she wakes up and again before bedtime. At night, she sleeps comfortably in her crate. Like most puppies, Cricket will chew when bored, which is why toys are always within reach. If she runs out of appropriate options, she may attempt to sample something else, but redirection works well. She is not a digger, rarely barks at visitors, and greets guests with kisses because obviously they are new best friends. She may bark briefly to get attention, but otherwise she is focused on fun. The ideal home for Cricket would be an active household with kids or adults who enjoy engagement, play, and laughter. Another playful dog would be a huge bonus, as she thrives with canine companions who can keep up with her energy and enthusiasm. And just in case you think her size limits her abilities, here is a fun fact. Cricket has successfully climbed a two and a half foot cage and escaped. Twice. There is no photo evidence because she is both fast and sneaky, so you will just have to trust us. Tiny body. Big dreams. Elite escape artist. Cricket is truly special. She is smart, joyful, confident, and lives every single day like it is the best day of her life. She lights up the house the moment she wakes up and keeps it buzzing with happiness until bedtime. If you are ready for a tiny dog with a huge personality and nonstop entertainment value, Cricket is ready to bounce straight into your heart. February 12, 2026, 1:22 am

Story
We adopted Coco about 2.5 years ago. He is a small 9 year old mixed breed dog. He really likes being petted, loves walks and even going for a run, but is also OK to lay low at home. Due to our busy routine we aren’t always able to take him out everyday. He likes small, squishy toys and chasing squirrels in our backyard. We haven’t had much experience with him spending time with other pets, but when he’s at the park with other dogs, he’s always Ok and sometimes just keeps to himself. An ideal home would be someone who has time to take him out for walks and to chill with him at home, preferably a female since he seems to be much more comfortable around women than men, at least at first. Coco knows to use the doggy door to go outside and is also crate-trained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccination up to date. Coco has a heart murmur, and needs to take medication (Vetmedin) twice a day. The cost of the medication is about $60 per month.

Story
Chip earned this name for two reasons: he's a 10 pound chi, like a chip of wood, i.e. a small part of a big dog, and also he's amazingly chipper at all times, taking off from the front stoop like a long jumper and sort of hopping around on his wobbly back legs at quite a rate of speed. He gets along fine with other dogs, though a little awkward. He can be a little shy and, as with many of them, he'll need a little understanding as he settles in to his new home on his time. Though he follows his foster mom around constantly, his idea of affection seems to be head butts in the morning and occasionally sitting next to her on the couch. He's still getting used to the idea of being loved. We think that he's about 10-years-old and he is 10 lbs. He is hearing impaired but has adjusted fine to this. Chip is very happy to meet another day and we are thrilled to have him in our care. He will do well in a mellow, adult home where he is surrounded by understanding and lots and lots of love.
