One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Now, he knows how to be affectionate not only with his foster family but also with visitors who come to the house. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but is improving as he meets more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Mostly rests napping or sometimes plays with balls when alone. Recently, stayed for three days at a boarding facility, where he was anxious and had trouble adjusting for the first six hours. After that, he settled in well. When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks or sniffs them. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Is a bit sensitive to the sound of motorcycles but he's gradually getting desensitized. Doesn’t run after other people and reliably comes to his guardian, staying beside or behind them. * Car Sickness: No motion sickness; relaxes well during car rides. * Barks and may show defensive nibbling when strangers visit home or suddenly reach out their hands to him during walks. Dislikes to be intuded in his territory and sometimes nips in such situation. Is getting constant training to fix it. * May bark defensively if someone suddenly runs toward him during walks. * Likes playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Is sensitive around his belly, so it is recommended to approach carefully and to touch it as if petting softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he’s still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

Rusty is a mellow quite and well mannered 13 pound long hair Chihuahua, possibly Pom Mix that looks like a little FOX>. He was picked up by a kill shelter as a stray and no one came to claim him. He is about 6.5 yrs old and would make a great lap dog. He likes his food his soft bed and takes treats from you ever so gently. Rusty is calm and would flourish in home where he can sit on your lap and follow you around He is good riding in the car and good walking on leash. He would be ok as an only dog or with other gentle dogs. We had him neutered, microchipped and all his shots. Gidget is a five-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua with a heart full of love and a personality that will steal yours. She was picked up by Riverside shelter as a stray and was terribly scared and shy, and would not come to anyone. Plus being a Black dog, no one showed interest in her and she was put on the euthenasia list... We stepped in to pull her, and after Gidget was given some space and time, she now comes to you and wants to be petted, held and is full of affection! Not once has she ever growled, shown her teeth or tried to bite. Gidget is incredibly loyal, intelligent, and brave—always curious and quick to warm up when she feels safe. She is a really good little companion girl! Gidget's the perfect combination of cuddly and playful, and she especially enjoys wrestling with other small dogs. She is quiet, well-mannered, and has a mellow, calming energy that makes her an ideal companion for a peaceful home. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and fully dog-door trained. Gidget is currently in foster care in Victorville, CA, and is ready to find her forever home. Max is a sweet and resilient 4-5 year old Chihuahua mix, full of affection and loyalty. He was originally adopted by a single man who became ill and brought him to us before he passed away. Max had been was attacked by a larger dog and needed surgery on his hind leg which we were able to provide. He is as good as new now, but does have a bit of a limp. Max is the definition of a best friend lap dog—he’s gentle, loving, and eager to be by your side. Max gets along wonderfully with other dogs and kids, making him a great addition to just about any home. He’s smart, well-mannered, and always ready to give kisses and cuddles. Whether he’s snuggling on the couch or following you around with those adoring eyes, Max is happiest just being near his people. This affectionate boy wants nothing more than a forever family to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you endlessly, Max is waiting to meet you! He's neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and house trained (but will need a little help in a new environment).
