Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to LAX💟 Meet Binnie🤍 💙 Binnie’s Update Account: @imbo_family_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and fully recovered from heartworm. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Binnie had been at the Gimje City Shelter for a long time without being rescued due to limited space at the Adogs center. One day, his weight suddenly dropped, raising health concerns. Adogs stepped in just in time to rescue him. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy a bit with new people. As a result of consistent training, he has become much less wary, even taking treats and sniffing people he has never seen before. Now, he knows how to be affectionate not only with his foster family but also with visitors who come to the house. * With Dogs: Coexists peacefully with other dogs and doesn’t show much interest first. Doesn’t approach them first to greet but is polite enough to respond to greetings of other dogs on walks. Showed some defensive nipping to sudden approaches in the past but has improved a lot after meeting more dogs. * With Cats: Waits gently when seeing cats. * Separation Anxiety: Does very well when left alone at home and rests! When left alone with strangers, he either approaches them and barks at or sniffs them. When with his foster parent’s mother and another stranger, he growls and is wary of the stranger if they approach the mother. He’s being trained and corrected when his foster parent is with him. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but uses pee pads indoors without any issue. * Hygiene: Handles bathing, brushing, drying, and tooth brushing like a pro. * Walks: Loves walks and matches his pace to yours! Doesn’t get surprised by motorcycles or the sounds of cars. He looks around and is relaxed on walks. * Biting: Barks and may show defensive biting when strangers who visit the home or strangers on walks suddenly reach out their hands to him. Doesn’t like his territory being intruded upon and sometimes nips in such situations. Is getting constant training to fix it. * Barking: If another person runs in Binnie’s direction from afar, he sometimes barks defensively. * Likes: Likes playing with a squeaky ball and doing nosework with treats. Wiggles happily when his butt is petted. * Dislikes: Is sensitive around his belly, so it is recommended to pet the area softly. Is scared of staircases in buildings and is currently being trained slowly with treats. For now, he’s still being carried when he has to climb the steps. * Tricks: Has mastered several commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'another paw,' 'nose,' 'high-five,' 'kiss,' and 'house.'

Story
Rescued by a kind family who took in her mother pregnant. She is a quiet delicate dog, gentle and affectionate. Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in it's entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/

Story
PIPER (Grass Valley, CA) Piper is a funny, endearing 15-pound, 8 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. She thoroughly enjoys belly rubs, strolls, playful pursuits, catching toys, and sun-bathing in the yard. Piper has been socialized by our outstanding foster, Noel, and gets along with small dogs. However, Piper favors an exclusive companionship with a special someone. If her special someone has other dogs, Piper will confidently assume an alpha role. She has subtle possessiveness that emerges when it comes to sharing attention from her foster. Piper is wonderful on both car rides and leashed walks. She barks infrequently, but can still be a reliable guard dog. Her foster wholeheartedly endorses Piper's remarkable cuddling abilities. Piper readily recognizes her name and demonstrates excellent recall. She is a flexible eater and proficiently uses doggie doors and/or pee pads. Does Piper sound like the one for you? We’d love to hear what you think in the comments below (and your comments help Piper be seen). Story
"TINY" - SWEET YOUNG CHI-MIX WITH SPECIAL NEEDS LOOKING FOR A GREAT HOME My name is Tiny, and I’m a young, adorable Chihuahua mix . I’m ten months old and weigh 28 lbs. I love people/kids and dogs and get along with cats. Overall, I’m full of joy, and I love to prance around, lifting my front paws like a show-pony. I get a lot of compliments on my cute face, especially my “eyebrows” as well my fur which is a little bit curly. I had a rough start to my life, living on the streets as a baby in a bad neighborhood. Luckily for me, a homeless man took pity on me and tried to care for me while he was also struggling with life on the streets. When I had a seizure, he realized he didn’t have the resources to look after me and found a foster to take me in. After visiting a neurologist, I learned that I have epilepsy, and the vet put me on medication. Since then, I haven’t had a single seizure. I was also diagnosed with Vestibular Disease, which is an inner-ear condition that affects balance. However, most of the symptoms have disappeared as I’ve gotten older, and all that’s left is a sleight head-tilt, which people find adorable. So, I need to find a home where my adopters don’t mind giving me a pill in the morning and night. Other than that, I’m pretty low maintenance. I love my walks and playing with other dogs. I’m also neutered and microchipped and have had all my shots. If you think you can give me a loving home, please contact my foster Jack at the contact info below. He will also pay for my medication for the first six months in my new home. 424-625-5752 - Santamonicabased@gmail.com

Story
Sweet girl who you would never guess is 10 yrs old...Meet Goldie! Goldie is a 10 yr old, female, 10lb, Chihuahua that we recently rescued from the Santa Monica Shelter. She was brought in as an owner surrender when the owner's daughter relinquished her on behalf of her elderly mother who could no longer care for Goldie. The daughter claimed that she had to move in with her mother to care for her and basically didn't want Goldie there anymore. It's ok...we work closely with this shelter and when they let us know about Goldie and her situation, we knew we had to help! We got her out immediately and into one of our amazing foster homes! Goldie is such a good girl and so laid back, but she also has pep in her step and loves taking walks and playing with a toy. She's not a barker and seems to be potty trained with outdoor access. Basically...she is perfection! Our foster mom does not believe that Goldie is 10 years old and feels that she is a few years younger maybe at 7-8 years old. Goldie was dumped when she was doing nothing wrong, but unfortunately this happens way too often. We know that her forever home is out there and she deserves the absolute best one! Goldie is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. We only adopt in the Greater LA areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at: gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020 Goldie's adoption fee is $450

Story
He just yearns for love....that's our Toby! This handsome boy is Toby and he is an approximately 3 year old, 15lb, male, Chihuahua/Doxy mix (chiweenie) that is all about cuddles and love! He came to us when he was found dumped on the streets abandoned and all alone with bite wounds all over his body and an ulcerated eye. We had him taken straight to our vet where he was treated and then he was off to a his wonderful foster home! We see that Toby needs a very patient, loving, and nurturing home that will give him the time he needs to decompress and feel safe. He is leery of some men and most likely was hurt by one. We know from experience that he will come to you very scared and will do low growling. Humans failed him in his past and he is untrusting at first understandably. It took his foster mom 2 days before he felt safe with her and her family, but once he knew everything was ok....he was all about the love! In fact, he LOVES to snuggle! Toby definitely needs another young and playful dog in the home! He is AMAZING with other dogs and seems to love them all! This playful pup definitely needs a safe and secure backyard to run around and play in. Toby was most likely mistreated by men in his life as he is a little stand offish with them, but will open up with time. Potential adopters must be prepared that he is going to being shut down at meet/greets, but trust us when we tell you it only takes like 2 days for him to feel safe and loved, so we are looking for a home for him that will not give up quickly on him and give him that time he needs.... It will definitely be worth while! Toby is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required. Please contact us at: gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020
