Story
Gidget is a five-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua with a heart full of love and a personality that will steal yours. She was picked up by Riverside shelter as a stray and was terribly scared and shy, and would not come to anyone. Plus being a Black dog, no one showed interest in her and she was put on the euthenasia list... We stepped in to pull her, and after Gidget was given some space and time, she now comes to you and wants to be petted, held and is full of affection! Not once has she ever growled, shown her teeth or tried to bite. Gidget is incredibly loyal, intelligent, and brave—always curious and quick to warm up when she feels safe. She is a really good little companion girl! Gidget's the perfect combination of cuddly and playful, and she especially enjoys wrestling with other small dogs. She is quiet, well-mannered, and has a mellow, calming energy that makes her an ideal companion for a peaceful home. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and fully dog-door trained. Gidget is currently in foster care in Victorville, CA, and is ready to find her forever home. Adoption fee: $350 To meet Gidget or request an adoption application, please email: Alphadogpetrescue@yahoo.com Give this little sweetheart a chance—you won’t regret it!

Story
Belly Roll is an owner surrender from Bakersfield. He was part of an accidental litter living with a family in a broken down RV. Bakersfield shelters are overwhelmed with strays and surrenders, especially Chihuahuas. While the previous owners should have had their female dog spayed, they did the right thing by bringing him to a rescue. More from Belly Roll's foster: He is a sweet boy with a fun and enthusiastic spirit. He is always ready to play and has lots of energy, but also knows when to be chill. He is always ready for a new adventure where he can experience new smells and sights. He is good with kids and other pets, but can be a little shy around new people. Be ready to adopt. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please fill out our online application and our adoption counselor will reach out to you to discuss meeting your new family member. Story
Anderson is playful, snuggly, and full of puppy energy. He loves running in the yard, chasing toys, and wrestling with his foster sibling. He’s social, gentle, and learning to walk on leash. He’s also getting the hang of potty pads and doing well with frequent trips outside. He’s perfectly content to curl up beside you or sleep in your lap. He’s still a bit cautious in new situations, but his confidence grows daily. His joy does too. This tiny pup has already been through a lot in his young life. Born March 12 to a Chihuahua dad and a Maltese mom, Anderson Pooper was lovingly raised by his original owner. When her living situation changed unexpectedly, she was forced to move after her landlord decided to renovate and add an ADU. Tearfully, she reached out for help rehoming her beloved puppy. Thankfully, we were able to step in and get Anderson into rescue. Anderson arrived with no prior medical care and a severe case of mites. His skin was so inflamed that he would cry when touched, especially on his tender little face. He was immediately placed in foster care where he began receiving treatment and lots of TLC. Now, just a few weeks later, he’s made an incredible recovery and is thriving. Anderson Pooper is vaccinated, healed, and looking for a forever home where he’ll be safe, loved, and never left behind. He’s a special little guy with a big heart and a bright future. --------------- Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers.
