What we know: Transferred from Animal Rescue Friends of Floydada (ARFF) in Floydada, TX. Aged at 11 years old at intake. Was left outside in the Texas freeze storm in January of 2026 and not reclaimed. Came with the name "Little Old Man," foster calls him Winston.
From the foster: Winston carries himself with quiet dignity, resilience and the calm confidence of a dog who knows exactly who he is. He was found cold and alone during the Texas ice storms and found his way to Colorado, looking for a fresh start.
He is recently neutered and ready to fully embrace his next chapter. Think refined, low-key, no drama energy. Winston gets along beautifully with dogs, cats and humans alike. He enjoys having a canine buddy to casually 'tool around' with, but he is just as content lounging nearby while life happens around him.
This is a guy who has mastered the art of comfort, rotating between a bed, soft couch, cozy chair or, his absolute favorite, sunbathing outside like royalty. He is not a big barker, not interested in being a self-appointed security system, he's more of a "let's all relax" kinda guy.
Winston isn't clingy or demanding. He will happily accept belly scratches and believes treats should never be rationed unnecessarily. He knows basic commands and when he needs to go out he will simply stand by the door like a gentleman, no theatrics.
Senior dogs like Winston don't need saving, they need appreciation. He comes housetrained, emotionally balanced and deeply grateful for routine and stability. He has many vibrant years left in him and deserves a home where he is cherished.
If you're looking for loyalty without chaos, partnership without drama and a dog who has figured life out, Winston is ready!
