Sweet little Lacy was found abandoned and had to fend for herself. She was found on 9/19/24 and is estimated 8 years old. She’s a very sweet and loving girl, despite the cards she’s been dealt. She knows a few commands already and is eager to please. She is already spayed and microchipped so she’s ready for her forever home! You can meet her in 514 and her ID is 662066. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. Molly is an adorable 1 yr old, 15lb TFT or Rat Terrier mix ( she was 11 lbs when we first got her but she is a big fan of food!) She was surrendered to a local shelter with other dogs. She was terrified in the shelter environment, so we didn’t hesitate to pull her. Molly is a sweet goofy girl, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. She LOVES to play with other similar sized energetic dogs. She is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed as an only dog! Older dogs may not appreciate her enthusiasm. She is fine with cats and even tries to get them to play. Once she gets to know you, she is the biggest sweetheart, but she is SUPER timid with new people. She needs someone who can give her the time she needs to get used to new people, it helps that she is food motivated! We are seeking a home with no kids. Molly is seeking a home with a SECURELY fenced yard as she is super smart and has discovered she can fit through even the smallest of gaps. She is learning how to walk on a leash but will alligator roll to try and get out of going for walk. Molly is a lover; she wants to snuggle and give kisses. If you do not like dog kisses, then Molly is not the dog for you! Molly is VERY very smart and is a possible candidate for agility./ Molly is crate trained and working on her housetraining. These days, he's gradually loosening his guard even with strangers. * Dog: When he meets another dog, he sits down and waits for the dog to approach him with manners! Even if the dog barks, Binnie sniffs gently without barking. * Separation anxiety: None. Most of the time he's alone is sleeping and relaxing. * Potty training: Prefers outdoor potty, but does well on a pee pad indoor. * Hygiene: Take a good bath and brush well! These days, he sits gently even gets drying. * Walk: Walk well with the foster without pulling a leash. A little sensitive to the sound of a motorcycle, but he's getting insensitive and he's a smart dog that stops and walks slowly when the foster says slow. * Car: Sits well in the kennel without car sickness. * Mastered Commands: Sit down, lie down, paw, opposite paw, nose, high five. * When someone uddenly tried to touch him without bond, sometimes he showed defensive bites because he's scared. She always does her business at the same spot. * Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 1-2 * She is weary of strangers :( She is timid but she is happy to see people she knows and approaches with wagging tail.🥰 * She doesn’t bark when she sees other dogs. She slowly comes up to them. * She didn't bark and was quiet when she had guests at home. She didn't approach strangers just by observing them from afar, but she didn't bark. * She took a while to warm up to the other dogs at the foster home. * She is very timid girl. Needs some time to warm up with everything. * Please be patient with her. * Please move slowly and stay quiet as possible until she gets used to staying with you. * Successfully her nail! * She is a very curious girl. Let her explore the new world. * Currently she is practicing walkies. She is getting much better though. She gets scared of the manhole. Continuously needs leash training. * She is not a big fan of bathing, but she waits well until it's done. Pretty good at basic cleaning after walkies. She runs away when she sees the toothbrush but she accepts the situation as soon as it starts. * She prefers not to be held before. She is doing better and better. Because of ALDF, actress Kate Mara is sponsoring the adoption fee for some of our amazing dogs! Wow - can you believe it?? You can adopt one of our great dogs, and spend the adoption fee on new toys, soft beds, and yummy treats instead! ara, named Blyss at the shelter, ended up there when someone called and said there was a dog on their front porch. We don't know if she was lost, or someone had dumped her, but no one came to get her, until we did. This girl, who we think is a mix of rat terrier, min pin and a little bit of pittie, is a petite girl. She weighed 29 pounds when we pulled her from the shelter, and was a bit underweight, with some filling out to do. She is about 2 years old now, and is at her perfect weight, weighing about 38 pounds. She has a slender little body with long legs, a beautiful red brindle coat, and ears for days! If you have wanted a dog to do dog sports with - like agility - this sweet athletic girl may be a great fit for you! Like all of our dogs, Zara is in Atlanta. Someone was trying to Re-home Sammie (Salem), so I asked for a trial run to see if this pup and my pup would get alone. I have tried this for nearly 4 weeks, but my pup just doesn't care for her and fights her daily. Sammie is a very sweet pup and is house broke, create trained and loves being petted. This sweet girl is 8 years old, up to date on shots and in good health. I took her to my vet to be evaluated, vet said she is in good health but told me to only give her 1/2 cup food twice daily because she was 18.8 lbs and should be about 14 lbs. I am looking for someone who is looking for a very laid-back pup and wants to give her the best home as she deserves.
