Story
Say hello to Penny! This happy little girl is a 5-year-old Rat Terrier mix. At 17 pounds, Penny is carrying a little extra weight and would love a family committed to helping her get back to her ideal weight of 10–12 pounds. She would make the perfect walking buddy as you tackle that journey together! One of Penny’s cutest quirks is standing up on her hind legs whenever she’s excited to see you. It’s her special way of letting you know she is happy to see you. It’s also guaranteed to make you smile every time. 🥰 Penny is funny, incredibly sweet, and loves to play. Once she bonds with her person, she’s happiest right by your side. While she sometimes plays with the other dogs in her foster home, she doesn’t need a canine companion to be happy. She’d be perfectly content soaking up all of your love and being the center of attention. She’s both house-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to a new home. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a playful personality and lots of love to give, Penny may just be the perfect match! 💟🐾

Have you heard the news??? Zara is available to be adopted . . . with NO ADOPTION FEE!! A huge thanks goes to Animal Legal Defense Fund for this! Because of ALDF, actress Kate Mara is sponsoring the adoption fee for some of our amazing dogs! Wow - can you believe it?? You can adopt one of our great dogs, and spend the adoption fee on new toys, soft beds, and yummy treats instead! ara, named Blyss at the shelter, ended up there when someone called and said there was a dog on their front porch. We don't know if she was lost, or someone had dumped her, but no one came to get her, until we did. This girl, who we think is a mix of rat terrier, min pin and a little bit of pittie, is a petite girl. She weighed 29 pounds when we pulled her from the shelter, and was a bit underweight, with some filling out to do. She is about 2 years old now, and is at her perfect weight, weighing about 38 pounds. She has a slender little body with long legs, a beautiful red brindle coat, and ears for days! If you have wanted a dog to do dog sports with - like agility - this sweet athletic girl may be a great fit for you! Like all of our dogs, Zara is in Atlanta. She can be adopted at any time, and will be available to go to her new home when she graduates from the program in mid-December. March 10, 2026, 2:53 pm

Story
Meet Zuni — a tiny, tender-hearted girl learning to be brave . Zuni is a 1-year-old rat terrier with the most soulful eyes and a beautifully unique coat, like she was carefully painted with love. At just 15 lbs. with her adorable docked tail, she's the perfect petite companion with a quiet presence that grows on you more each day. Zuni came from a rural shelter alongside her two sisters after being surrendered by a breeder. When she arrived, it was clear she had been severely under-socialized, and the world felt like a very big, overwhelming place. But since then, Zuni has been slowly, bravely discovering that people can be kind—and she's made incredible progress. She is still a very shy girl, and new situations can make her nervous. Right now, Zuni is not ready for leash walks, as being in environments where she doesn't feel in control can be frightening for her. She will need a patient, understanding home that's committed to continuing her socialization at her pace, with kindness and consistency leading the way. Despite her shyness, Zuni truly wants connection. She loves being around her people in a calm, familiar environment and finds comfort in routine. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, adores treats, and absolutely lights up around other dogs—she would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help guide her and show her the world isn't so scary. Zuni may not run up to you right away, but give her time, and you'll see her begin to trust. She'll come closer, lean into gentle ear scratches, and quietly choose you. Those moments feel like tiny victories—and they add up to something really special. Zuni is looking for a home that understands that love doesn't always arrive loudly. Sometimes, it tiptoes in, soft and uncertain...until one day, it's right there beside you. If you have the patience to help a shy girl blossom, Zuni is ready to keep growing—with you . For more photos, visit her album at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/zuni  If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Meet Reese – Your Loyal, Sun-Loving Companion Reese has been a cherished part of her family for the past three years, and it’s easy to see why. She is a deeply loyal, affectionate dog who thrives on human connection and loves being part of everyday life. Whether she’s soaking up the sunshine in the backyard or relaxing near her people, Reese is happiest when she’s close to those she trusts. Reese is incredibly friendly with adults and has done wonderfully with older children who understand and respect her space. She forms strong bonds with her people and will be a devoted, loving companion to the right home. Like many sensitive dogs, Reese can experience anxiety, especially in environments that feel overwhelming or unpredictable. Because of this, she will do best in a calm, structured home where she can feel safe and supported. She is looking for a home without young children or other dogs, ideally with adults or a family with older kids who are dog-savvy and understand boundaries. With consistency, patience, and continued training, Reese has so much potential to truly thrive. In the right environment, her sweet nature and unwavering loyalty shine through in the most beautiful way. Reese is ready to find her person — someone who will give her the stability, understanding, and love she deserves. In return, she’ll give you her whole heart. If you think Reese could be the right fit for your home, reach out to learn more about her and start the next chapter of her journey.

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for potty before jumping into the car. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house. • Appetite/Food Allergies: She likes any sort of food! / No food allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She feels cold easily due to her short coat. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Health: Had surgery on both knees in 2021 and recovered fully. Now maintaining her weight is important. Otherwise, she’s healthy! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
