Story
Meet Khunta! Up until recently, this adorable little guy lived with his dad in the dementia unit of a senior care facility. Unfortunately, as Dad's dementia progressed he became unable to care for Khunta. A family friend stepped in and welcomed Khunta into her home until a Forever Home can be found.   Khunta is just over 6 years old and about 14 lbs. He's used to a calmer home and would thrive in a similar environment. He's great with other dogs but would love to be the center of someone's world.   Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Dugan! Little Dugan was surrendered to a rural area animal control when his owner could no longer care for him due to health issues. Being an owner surrender and, therefore, not being eligible for a stray hold put this little guy at risk for immediate euthanasia. Luckily for him, there just happened to be an RMG volunteer at the shelter picking up other dogs and so he was loaded up too! Dugan is an older fella - about 9 or 10 years old - looking for a nice retirement home to spend the rest of his days. Don't let his age fool you though - this little guy still has lots of pep in his step! He's great with other dogs of all sizes and would love a nice cozy lap to curl up in Interested in adopting? Story
Cokey is a sweet little girl, ready for a new home. We got her as a companion for our dog, but its just not working out between them. Cokey is quiet, calm and barks of rare and legitimate reason. She likes to sit on the lap or in the sun. She can sit close to you, but doesn't need to. She is crate trained for sleep/security, still working on potty training but she is improving! She has a recent, all clear check up, latest vaccinations, and micro chip. Not a picky eater, but prefers fresh fruits and veggies to dog treats. We really wished this would have worked out, still Cokey deserves a great home.

Story
Ollie is a loving dog he is 4 years old very sweet and protective. He does get along with older children who understand when to give him space. He is very alert and requires play time and family time. Ollie loves to be petted and scratched. He is learning to enjoy other dogs not so much male dogs at this time. He is a great learner and very funny with a huge personality. I am only asking for serious inquiries that will truly give him the love I’ve provided for 4 years.

Story
Dobby was brought to Atlanta from the Virgin Islands following hurricane Irma. He is 5 years old and loves to cuddle. Unfortunately he has not adjusted to our downsized home and is territorial with our other dogs. He has all his shots including his annual heart worm shot. He is crate trained and leash trained, although he does bark at other dogs or people. He did graduate from Sit Means Sit training and knows basic commands. Dobby is very calm and likes a soft bed or pillow for naps. He likes to chase balls but after a few throws he's ready to rest. He is best in a home without other dogs and prefers being the center of attention.

Story
My family dumped me at the county shelter. Can you imagine an 8lb pup thrown away like a sack of trash. I came in with a couple of other dogs and a cat. I was very shy when I first was rescued, but now I can’t wait to sit in my foster mom’s lap. I sometimes run to a small crate to feel safe, but I’m fine with other dogs. My foster mom thinks I like to play, but every time a new pup approaches, I run to my safe place. I really enjoy the company of other dogs. I’m ready…..come and get me!

It's the same old story, owner passes away, family doesn't want me/us and off to the county shelter we go. My housemates were adopted, but I was scared and shy so I stayed at the big loud shelter until I got my "get out of jail" card. I'm all fixed up, in great health for a 9 year old, and ready to roll! I enjoy racing around with another house mate at the rescue and I think I enjoy toys. As you can see I'm ready...come get me!

Story
Max is about 4 years old and 18 lbs. He is an incredibly snuggly and affectionate dog. He loves to burrow under the covers with his foster mom to get cozy. Although a tiny bit shy at first, once Max bonds to you - he is a velcro dog and your loyal best friend. He will follow you everywhere you go if you'll let him. He is pretty low-key for the most part and sit next to his foster mom while she's working but he does get zoomies in the fenced in yard and enjoys chasing tennis balls, too. Max is house-trained in his foster home on a schedule and crate-trained, though he is not too fond of the crate. He does have separation anxiety so he needs a home where someone is home most of the time (ie you work from home). He very easily takes his medication (fluoxetine) to help with this anxiety. This medication is pretty inexpensive and it helps him feel better. Being a hairless dog, Max needs his skin protected and he gets cold, so he wears pajamas and shirts. His skin is sensitive and while it is significantly better than it was when we first got him, he does still have blackheads - primarily on his hind end. He has a veterinary shampoo that will go with him that will help with this. Max really loves toys and will carry them around everywhere. He does not guard toys or bones from his humans but will guard them from other dogs, so we are looking to place him as an only pet. He is also fearful of large dogs and will bark at them. While there is information above about Max that may seem like he is a challenging dog, he really isn't. He is an incredibly loving, special dog and we know he will bring immense joy to whoever adopts him. His foster mom absolutely adores him and can't wait for him to find his loving forever family who will provide just as much happiness to him as he will to them. He is the cutest, silliest dog and whoever adopts him will be blessed with a loyal companion. To adopt Max, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $300, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing. He is not suited for an apartment/condo due to the separation anxiety and needs an adult only home. We are not looking to place him further than 2 hours away from Metro Atlanta.
