Story
Hi there, I’m Abby! I’m a tiny Chihuahua girl with a big heart, just waiting for someone special to help it shine. I spent my early days in a not-so-great situation, so I’m still learning all about how to dog properly — but I’m trying really hard, and I’m so proud to say I’m housebroken and even walk on a leash like a champ!New places and new people can feel pretty overwhelming to me, so I’ll need a little time (and a lot of gentle patience) to really settle into my forever home. But once I do, I promise I’ll be the sweetest little companion you could ever hope for.One thing I do know already? I absolutely LOVE other dogs! Having a confident furry friend around really helps me feel safe and brave. If you’re kind, patient, and ready to watch me blossom, I think we could be the perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you — at my own pace, of course. Love,AbbyP.s. I qualify for Foster First which means you can take me home for up to 14 days before adopting to make sure I`m a good match!

Story
** Current Location: in a local private shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story: Cabbie was found on a street in South Korea in Feb 2025 and sent to a high-risk city shelter. Luckily, he was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team, but he had to be hospitalized for treatment due to lethargy and difficulty breathing. After full recovery, Cabbie started living with numerous dogs in a private shelter. Now, he is eagerly waiting for his forever home! • Personality: Friendly, Easy-going, Active This sweet little boy is full of love and ready to share it with everyone he meets! He gets along with all people and has an easy-going nature that sets him apart from the typical feisty Chihuahua. He's truly a joy to be around! • Affinity with - Cats: Not tested - Dogs: Good with other dogs - likes to say hello first! - Adults/Kids: Good with adults, including men / Not tested with children, but we assume he would be good with all people who give him a good pet :) • Housetrained : Due to the shelter life, he will need house-training in a new environment. • Walking Manner : Looks like he has experience in walking before being abandoned. Good on a leash! • Shedding : 5-6 • Food Appetite/Food Allergies : He eats all the food well! / No food allergy • Bathing/Brushing : tolerates both well • Separation Anxiety : Currently, there is no separation anxiety at the shelter • Barker/Howler : Barks towards something he feels threatening • Carsickness : Not tested • Likes : He likes to be petted and to go on a walk! Loves treatos :) • Health : Patellar luxation grade 2. Luxation has occurred, but there are no signs of pain when walking. Still, he would benefit from regular exercise and a little weight loss!

Story
Hi, I`m Mathias! I`m a pretty great mix of energetic and chill, and I love to be close to my humans. I am a goofy guy in a small package with tons of love and fun to go around!I’m a bit of a snuggle bug and love being close to you—whether it’s curled up on the couch or burrowing under the blankets. I love my humans and can be sweet and affectionate, giving little kisses when I`m in the mood. I sleep soundly in the bed and don’t destroy anything when I’m left alone in my fosters home, oh and I`m perfectly housebroken. But don`t let that fool you—I do get jealous if I hear you talking sweet to my feline roommate. Still, I’m no threat to her! She holds her ground and has even swatted me a few times.Other dogs? Well, I’m a bit of a work in progress. I don’t love them at first sight—I might bark and lunge a little, but with patience, I sometimes relax, especially if I have a chance to get to know them. I’ve met a few dogs, and I did okay as long as I was close to my human. But I get along with smaller dogs like corgis, so maybe I could learn to be okay with a dog sibling if we were introduced the right way, but I prefer to be the only dog if possible! I`m fine with kitties though! When I meet new people, I get excited and interested, and I`ve even met some kids under 10 and liked them! Oh, and if you have any cheese cubes or a little scrap of food, I`m all in. (Though I`m on a strict diet, so I have to be careful with that.) My walks at Piedmont Park are my absolute favorite, and I get super pumped when you ask, `Is it time to go outside?` I get so excited to go on car rides too! I’m looking for a family who’s home a lot, can keep me on my special diet, and is prepared for some future medical care—like possibly surgery if my bladder stones come back. it has been hard for me to find my forever home due to that, but I know my person is out there. I prefer to hang out with my people 24/7 if possible, I just love attention! Just be ready for some snuggles and maybe a little jealousy!

Story
Meet Russell~your new snuggle buddy! Sweet little Russell is ready to find his forever family. This 8lb bundle of love ended up in a shelter when his beloved owner passed away, and Russell was left without a home. But even through that heartbreak, he’s remained the same gentle, loving soul, and he’s now thriving in his foster home while he waits for someone new to love. Russell is the ultimate lapdog—snuggly, affectionate, and happiest when curled up next to his person. Whether you're working from home, binging your favorite show, or just enjoying a quiet moment, Russell is right there with you, soaking up every bit of love he can get. He’s good on a leash and enjoys his walks, so he’ll be a wonderful companion for strolls around the neighborhood. Russell is also great with other dogs, so he'd be happy with a canine sibling—but he’d do just fine as your one and only too, as long as he’s getting the love and attention he craves. Russell’s past may be sad, but his future is looking bright. All he needs now is a soft place to land and a person (or people!) to call his own. If you're looking for a small, lovable, incredibly cuddly companion who will love you with his whole heart, Russell just might be your guy. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350. **We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)** If you are interested in any of our dogs, please visit https://releashatlanta.com/adoptable-dogs.php to either view more of their profile or to apply to adopt! Story
Hi! My name is Gidget and I’m a 3-year-old, 5-pound darling looking for my forever family. When my elderly owner passed away, there was no one to take care of me or my two best friends, Dante and Russell. Thankfully, the wonderful folks at Releash Atlanta stepped in to help us! I’m housebroken, great on a leash, and I adore other dogs. Seriously—I’m a social butterfly! I share a fenced yard with my foster siblings and love zooming around with them. I haven’t met a cat yet, but my foster mom thinks I’ll be just fine with one. Fun facts about me: • I’m not a fan of crates—I prefer cuddling with my people or snuggling in a bed with my BFF, Lily. • I love sleeping under the covers or cozied up next to another pup at night. • Car rides? Count me in! I sit like a good girl in my car seat, but I’d sneak onto your lap if you let me! • I’m a tiny dog with a big heart, so please leash walk me and never leave me alone outside—owls and hawks might think I’m a snack! I’m not yappy, but I will alert you if I hear something—I’m tiny but I’ve got your back. Oh, and I’m probably a Chihuahua mix, which might explain why I’m named after the Taco Bell dog! Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! Hello! I acquired Little Bit from the Humane Society. She is 6 years old and a very chill dog. She would definitely need someone who can be at home more often than not to take her outside to use the bathroom. She is very sweet and like to get all the pets she can! She is definitely a lap dog.
