Story
This friend has just arrived because their owner could no longer keep them. While owners can provide some history on their pets, our medical and behavioral teams will still evaluate them. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. They are pending interactions with other animals at the shelter until they have been cleared by our vet. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and we will update their bio with more information as we learn. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Gingerbread is a gentle hound mix who is learning that the world can be a safe and kind place. She can be shy with new people at first, but with patience and consistency, her confidence is steadily growing. Watching her take those small steps forward is incredibly rewarding. She is currently nervous on a leash, but Gingerbread is being very brave and working through it one baby step at a time. She does best with calm encouragement and someone who knows when to move at her pace—and when to give her a gentle push to help her realize she’s capable of more than she thinks. At this time, Gingerbread would do best in a home with another dog to help her feel confident, a securely fenced yard, and a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to meet her where she is while continuing to encourage her growth. A quieter, rural or country setting would suit her best right now. These needs reflect where Gingerbread is today, and her bio will be updated as her confidence continues to grow. Once she feels safe, her personality shines through. Gingerbread is silly, loving, and affectionate, and she forms deep bonds with the people she trusts. She is looking for an adopter who understands the beauty of earning a dog’s trust and will be there to cheer her on through every milestone.  Gingerbread is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and will be able to join a furever family on or after 12/27/2025. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptabledogs #adoptme #houndsofinstagram #hounddog #adoptable ##2599113##

Story
Part explorer, part professional snuggler, Spritz is a lovable hound mix with a zest for life and a soft spot for his people. The only male from the Christmas Cookie Pups, this handsome boy approaches each day with enthusiasm, curiosity, and so much love to give. Spritz adores affection and is happiest when snuggled into blankets, curled up in the tiniest bed he can find, or stretched completely across the sofa. He loves being near his people and enjoys spending time outside exploring—while still checking in to make sure his person is close by. A natural people-pleaser, Spritz thrives on connection and wants nothing more than to make his humans happy. Playtime is one of his favorite things, and he loves to run, explore, and soak in the world around him. He meets other dogs without issue, plays beautifully, and fits into a home as though he’s always belonged there. Spritz does wonderfully with everyone he meets and especially adores the teenagers in his foster home. He is currently learning to walk nicely on a leash and is doing a wonderful job. Spritz is also doing very well with both potty and crate training, though he will continue to benefit from consistency and reinforcement as he grows. He’s food motivated, intelligent, and eager to please, even if he can sometimes be a little hound-style aloof. He currently eats using a slow feeder and enjoys his meals separately while learning to slow things down. Spritz loves watching TV and tilts his head as if he fully understands what’s happening on screen. Spritz is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania. He’s ready to bring his love, charm, and snuggly spirit to a forever family of his own. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 ##2599112##

Story
Snickerdoodle is the sweetest little hound-mix from our Christmas Cookie litter. She might come off as shy at first, but it’s truly the “new-puppy experiencing the world” kind of shy — give her a day to settle in and she’ll be trotting over for playtime, pets, and all the attention she can soak up. As she gains more life experience, that hesitation melts away fast. Snickerdoodle is also a dedicated counter-surfer in training — a true professional in the making — though she’s already learning the rules and picking up commands to curb her temptations. She’s doing wonderfully with both crate training and potty training (regular breaks keep her on track!), and she’s off to a great start learning to walk on a leash. She loves to play, adores other dogs, and happily soaks up every snuggle she can get. When she’s not romping around, you’ll find her curled up on a soft bed, working on a bone with total puppy joy. Snickerdoodle is sweet, silly, and ready to grow into her confidence with a family who will cheer her on through all her “firsts.” Snickerdoodle is fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a family who will love her immensely. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz PA Kennel License: 10872 PO Box 406 Gilbertsville, PA 19525 #mostlymuttzrescue #adoptable #adoptabledogs #adoptme #christmascookies ##2599111##

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 6, 2026, 10:34 am
