Do you love tacos? I'm the dog for you!! I am just over one year old and about 55 pounds. I am a hound mix with long legs and my foster humans say they don't understand why I haven't been adopted yet! I love all people of all sizes and I also love to "aaaWooo" at you when I am very excited. I love to sniff all of the things and adventure. I do well at doggy daycare, but would prefer to not share my home with another doggie. I am neutered and up to date on vaccines, as well as microchipped. I hope to meet you soon, my foster hooman says check out the adoption process below to play! ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Willow is a sweet 2 year old hound mix that is reported to be very chill and loves a good movie. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Willow loves people, dogs, chew toys and looking out the window. She dislikes her crate, cats and being alone. When her foster Mom leaves, she just keeps her in one room instead of a crate and she is happy! Although she is learning to be confident, she still gets scared of things like thunder and other loud noises. Willow will need a dog sibling, and a fenced in yard. ADOPTION PROCESS 1. ABOUT LOUISE Louise is a super sweet 1 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound. She was originally found wandering as a stray in West Virginia with her friend, Thelma. Their local animal control did not have space for them, so HAP stepped in to save them from euthanasia. While Louise was found with Thelma, they are not a bonded pair, but can be adopted together. Louise requires a home with another dog to help build her confidence. We aren't sure of her past or what she may have endured, but she can be a bit reserved or nervous when first meeting people. Once she knows you're safe, she is sure to melt into your lap for love. Louise enjoys playtime, but is a huge fan of naptime! When she's not taking a snooze or playing with her friends, she is likely nose to the ground sniffing away on a walk! In true hound nature, she enjoys telling you what's on her mind and letting out some howls. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! PJ comes from West Virginia. She is half Coon Hound and half standard poodle. We have raised her from a puppy. She is house broken, and sleeps in her crate. She knows simple commands and is eager to learn. She is energetic, loves to be outdoors and play fetch. We’ve taken her to the dog beach and she seems to do well with other dogs. Sadly, our family is too busy to give her the attention she needs. She would do well with a fenced in yard to play in, and another older dog to keep her company. I believe she is trainable and willing to learn, from someone who has the time and resources to do so.
