Story
He is crate and house trained  He can be trusted loose in the house he is good with dogs!  He has a calm loving energy He stays close to his people even when off leash He is dog park ready & does great with pack play. He is very smart and knows some commands He is up-to-date on his vaccines, microchipped & neutered   Rocky is a mild mannered older gentleman at almost 8 years old. He coexists very well with other dogs but doesn't do well with cats. He was adopted one time in his 3 years with us, it lasted for about 3 weeks and that's when we realized that cats were a no go. He is potty trained and affectionate, he loves men and women. High energy children would stress him, so we are looking for a home with no kids or children over 10 years.    If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $215 with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic  ##1327930##

Story
Meet Brewie! This sweet boy is, quite frankly, a lovable doofus — the kind of happy hound who’ll make you laugh every single day. Brewie is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who’s great with other dogs and loves all people. He lives in a foster home with other pups and spends his days chasing them around the yard, playing with toys, and showing off his goofy grin. When he’s inside, Brewie proudly takes on the role of floor inspector — always on the lookout for stray crumbs. Have kids? Adopt Brewie and your floors will stay spotless! He’s also a big fan of treats, toys, and adventures. Whether it’s hiking, kayaking, or just going for a car ride, Brewie’s always ready to tag along. Like any good hound, he loves to follow his nose and has a beautiful singing voice he uses to let you know when it’s time to go outside or grab a snack. He may not have the brains of a scholar, but he makes up for it with his sweet, goofy, and endlessly charming personality. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, social, and affectionate companion who’ll make every day brighter, Brewie is your guy! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   April 26, 2026, 10:13 pm

Story
Ms. Mam is a gentle soul wrapped in a charming, beagle-like package and powered mostly by kindness and snacks. She’s a mature lady with an easygoing outlook on life. No rush, no fuss, just quiet companionship and cozy naps. Her hearing isn’t what it used to be, which only adds to her peaceful charm. She’s perfectly content soaking up love, lounging in a sunny spot, and enjoying the calm side of life. Ms. Mam has diabetes mellitus and will require lifelong treatment, including insulin injections twice daily and a special diet. She would also likely do best in a home without cats. All this precious girl really asks for is a little love, a warm place to rest, and a home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and care. Golden Years Companion: Because senior pets deserve all the love in the world, this animal’s adoption fee is completely WAIVED! We never want an adoption fee to stand in the way of a senior dog enjoying their golden years surrounded by care and comfort. Story
Adorable puppy HOSS had his cherry eye repaired and is looking even more handsome! Hoss is a 7-8 month old cuddle bug. He's an easygoing guy who loves people, squeaky toys and treats. He loves human attention and has already learned to sit for treats. We're calling Hoss a Shargle -- he appears to be a Shar Pei/Beagle mix. He has the big wrinkly head and sturdy legs of a Shar Pei and the body of a black and tan beagle. At the vet's office he sat calmly while being poked and prodded. He'd fine with anything especially if yummy treats are involved. He's a bright boy who learns quickly and should be fun to train. Hoss is currently 24 pounds and is probably close to fully grown, we're estimating he'll be 30ish pounds when fully grown. He's dog friendly but we think he'd be fine as an only dog as long as he gets plenty of attention. Hoss came to us with his brother Brew who looks more like a beagle, Hoss definitely has a shar pei face. If you'd like to meet Hoss, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Hoss at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
