Story
Meet Cleo! This sweet 8 month old pup came to us from a local shelter a few months ago. From being found as a stray at a young age, to beating Parvo, Cleo is a fighter eager to start her happily ever after!   Cleo has completed our prison training program and gained all the necessary skills to be a wonderful part of your family! She has mastered sit, down, stay and heel. Although she might need a few reminders :).    Cleo is a wonderful, energetic pup who is looking for an active family to join! She is great with kids, cats and other playful dogs. She does well on a leash and loves romping around the backyard with a furry friend or 2. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also crate trained and doing well with potty training when kept on a routine.    If you think Cleo sounds like the missing piece in your family, please visit our website and complete and Adoption Application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables   Her adoption fee is $400  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Story
Name: Sandy Gender: Female Age: 1.5 years old Current Weight: 30 lbs Expected Adult Size: Small Breed: Beagle Energy Level: Medium to medium high Dog Friendly: Yes, Sandy requires another dog in the home. She would do best with a confident, playful, but easy going dog. Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes Apartment Friendly: No Physical Fence Requirement: Sandy requires a sturdy, secure fence at least 5 ft tall. No invisible fences. Crate Trained: No, Sandy has made it clear she does not want to be crated. It’s a huge source of anxiety for her and she does much better being left uncrated. Potty Trained: Yes, but will occasionally have an accident if left for several hours. Ideal Home/Adopter: Sandy will need a family who is home a lot. She is happiest being close to her people! Sandy has separation anxiety, which she is on both a daily medication and another medication to be used as needed. Sandy is looking for a fellow homebody! Likes: Sandy loves being with her people. She loves her dog siblings and enjoys being with them as much as possible. Sandy lives for affection and praise. She loves to cuddle and be close. She will happily rest her head on your lap, chest, or even head. Sandy loves everyone and is happy to meet new people. Sandy is food motivated and even loves her vegetables! Another one of Sandy’s favorite activities is smelling and investigating everything, she is a beagle after all! Dislikes: Being alone. Sandy does not like being left for more than a few hours at a time. Additional Considerations: Sandy has made an enormous amount of progress with her anxiety, but it is still a work in progress. She will require patient adopters, who can continue to work on this with her. Sandy enjoys dogs and lives in a foster home with five other dogs. She loves playing and snuggling with her dog siblings. Despite liking other dogs, Sandy does not like meeting other dogs while she is leashed. Due to Sandy's preference of not meeting other dogs while leashed, she will not be a good candidate to bring along to public outings with other dogs. What makes this dog special: Sandy came to Rescuedohio after living outside on a chain. Shortly after coming to the rescue it was determined that she was pregnant. Sandy gave birth to her beautiful babies last fall. While Sandy was still lactating, the rescue was contacted about a litter of puppies who did not have a mom and were in need of a surrogate.Sandy heard the puppies crying and immediately took them in. Sandy nursed the puppies until they were old enough to eat puppy food. She continued to mother them and care for them until they were adopted. Sandy truly has a heart of gold! In addition to being a sweetheart, Sandy is also very quirky, silly and goofy! She has her foster parents laughing daily. Sandy's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in Sandy, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1834761##

Story
A little shy, very sweet, certainly a stinker, Lucy has blossomed into a fantastic young lady. Still a bit of the backwards little pup that was born under an abandoned house, Lucy may warm up faster to doggie friends than people friends, but she does great with everyone and everything. Lucy will do better with some four-legged companionship in her adoptive home, and she loves fun toys and things she can get into. She’s an amazing dog and needs an amazing family to be a part of! A physically fenced yard is required. Lucy is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
My name is Oliver and I am here seeking a forever home! Im almost 2 years old and about 50 pounds. I thought I found my home, but I guess its not working out. You see, I like to play. Chase is my favorite. I get so excited that I just cant help myself. My family says Im too mouthy and I scare the littles in the house. I sometimes scare other dogs because I play to rough.I am mostly lab and I can track and point. If I like you, I might bring you a bird. Im house trained, crate trained and can sit like a champ. I dont over eat and Im not food aggressive. I love long walks and would really like an active family. I might even be a good jogging buddy! I love kids, but they need to be older so I dont knock them over when we play. Did I mention I like to play. Chase, Chase is my favorite! So who wants to play chase! You can apply to meet me at ricopetrecovery.org. Adoption fee is $250.
