Story
Lily is a mix of freeing walker, Chesapeake bay retriever, blue tick, Brittney, and Harrier, and you can tell! She loves to be outside exploring, she loves the water, hiking, chasing birds and chasing the ball. If you have a large garden that is constantly under pressure from pests, she will do a wonderful job keeping them at bay. She is silly, sweet, communicative, incredibly athletic and has undergone a lot of training. She loves to be let off leash in isolated areas provided you have an e-collar and know how to use it (we would donate hers to you) or potentially if you do a lot of training, but she is a hound and has the focus of one. She also loves to swim and play fetch in the water. Lily is on medication to help her manage anxiety, that was mostly centered around being overstimulated on walks and at home. She can coexist with other dogs as long as they have an even temperament, but she does not like dog parks unless they aren't very crowded.

Story
Welcome Reba to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Greyhound mix dog. She weighs about 65 pounds and is long and leggy. She is a great dog and would make a good running, jogging or walking companion. She has long legs so she could keep stride. She has tons of energy so she would be best with an athletic and active family. She could go with children. She is active so 8 or up would be best. Her best home would be with a fenced yard and time to finish off her training. She was probably gotten as a puppy and put in the backyard. She now is dog sized but has puppy skills. She is a wonderful dog and with some training will make a wonderful family pet. She was rescued from one of the local high kill shelters that are over flowing and asking for help. CCPAL stepped up for her. She is healthy, vaccinated and will be spayed before she leaves the Rescue. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. In foster in Kent WA two You Tubes below of sweet Cameo! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UISJNee1w3Q https://youtube.com/shorts/QdU4nVGyIKI?feature=share CAMEO is a Basset Hound mix weighing about 30-35 pounds. She's estimated to be around 11 months (est. DOB 2/15/25) old and is as sweet as can be. She is very outgoing, affectionate, and sweet-tempered. Cameo is definitely coming out of her shell at her foster's home and exhibiting those well known basset hound traits! She spends most of the morning wrestling and playing with her foster brother, so she would do really well in a home with another dog, but could also be a solo dog with the right enrichment! Cameo gets along great with other animals and children, especially those who have treats in their hands. She would do GREAT with an active family, given that she still has all the energy to play even after her daily 4 mile walk. She does great on a leash and her hound instincts kick in when she sees birds and squirrels. At night, she loves to settle down in your lap with kisses, and snuggle in bed next to you. Since being at her foster's home in Washington, she hasn't had but an occasional accident (pee) in the house other than the first night. She just requires a potty break at least every 3 or at most 4 hrs. Cameo is in foster in a home with two other dogs larger than she is and she does fantastic with both of them Cameo, along with here sister (Carob) and mother (Cleo), were found in a parking area close to a storage business along with several other dogs. These 3 were happy and friendly. Cameo is vaccinated, spayed, and eating good. Now all they need is a forever home and that’s where you come in. Please give these wonderful dogs a chance. She ignored the cats when cat tested! We do not yet know if she is totally potty trained. Cameos sister is still in rescue in Texas, her mother Cleo has been adopted but Cameo is in foster in Kent, WA so please apply to adopt so you can meet her! Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
