Story
Tessa is 45 pounds and 7 years old. She is such a sweet angel that was rescued from an abusive environment before being adopted 6 years ago. Because of this she has some fear in meeting new people but always come around with a little time and lots of treats! She has a calm sweet demeanor and mostly sleeps when in the house. Being a hound she loves to sniff and run around outside. Not ideal for anyone in an apartment. She is housebroken. She has some leash reactivity when she sees other dogs but is otherwise great on a leash. She has never been around children so I’m not sure how she reacts. She really is an amazing and sweet sweet dog but needs someone who is patient and understands rescues.

Story
Weight: 60lbs Special considerations: active adopter required Meet Chase! This active boy is super friendly with everyone he meets, person and dog alike! He has limited range of motion in his jaw so he didn’t cut it as a hunting dog, but he still loves to work and run! He is a great hiking buddy and loves learning all kinds of tricks. He is very smart but gets anxious when he doesn’t get enough stimulation, so he’s looking for someone who will provide a lot of enrichment and socialization. Aptly named, he does love to chase so he would do best in a home without cats, but he loves other dogs. Some of his best friends at the shelter are Bailey and Bentley (both available for adoption!), though we haven’t found a dog he doesn’t like. If you’re looking for a tricolor cutie for all your adventures, call us about Chase! Chase is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Puyallup, WA FRISKIE is a beautiful black & tan female puppy… possibly a black & tan Hound or Shepherd of some type. DOB 1/10/2024. We don’t know any of her history. She and her sister were found alongside the road in the country. Both pups are very friendly…and FRISKIE was the one that made it easy to catch them. She was the first to say hello and her sister followed her. FRISKIE is a leader. She has learned quickly that it’s a lot of fun to jump into the person’s lap and go for face licks. She will be a medium-sized dog when grown… possibly 45-55#s. She will probably be great with a family with kids…or someone who wants to do a lot of activity such as hiking, boating, etc. FRISKIE is a keeper. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
